blue butterflies // reintroduction ;; stuck in a tree - purgatory - 10-03-2018 [align=center][div style="width:55%;font-family:arial;font-size:11.5px;text-align:justify;line-height:120%;text-transform:lowercase;word-spacing:-0.5px;color:#5c5c5c"]The last thing Cronas was thinking about was an extravagant entrance or warm smiles and welcome backs with open arms. They didn't make so much as a dent when it came to relationships with their crewmates and they thought nothing of it. Maybe it would bother others. The fear of being purposeless, ignored, forgotten... None of those bothered the soulless feline. In fact, they were more curious as to why others were bothered by it. What about being forgotten or replaced made someone so upset? If they cared about another, wouldn't they want the best for them? Using that logic, it makes sense to be dropped when said person finds someone better. It was like replacing an old car for a newer, more efficient and convenient model better suited to their ever-changing lifestyle. Perhaps they were missing a couple key elements, thus making their way of thinking flawed, but it made sense to them. Devoid of emotion or not, the child understood this quite well. People come and go, getting upset over it was a waste of time. However, time seems to not apply to Cronas who could be found in a tree. An odd place for an individual who was a weak climber. What... What were doing previously? Before they were in the tree. Who... Who were they again? This isn't right. This isn't right at all. Glossy, eerily pale blue eyes turned upward to look at the sky before looking down at the grassy undergrowth. With graceful movements and after analyzing their position on a high branch, Cronas deducted they could take a couple steps however, the chances of them misplacing their paw and plummeting to the forest floor was dangerously high. This was a situation they didn't want to find themselves in, but it seemed it couldn't be helped. After all, they suppose it was sort of their punishment for not paying closer attention to what they were doing. What they were... Oh! Yes, that's right. They had no idea where they were or who they are. Very peculiar indeed. Settling down into a crouching position, the young apprentice would blankly stare down below as they began to mull over their identity first. After a few minutes of pondering, they remembered their name was 'Cronas' and they woke up in the world with no memory of how they got there. Images of the vast ocean flashed in their mind, recollecting the event. Then... This must be the Typhoon. At least, they hoped it is. It would be very inconvenient to be in another territory. Hopefully if they were somewhere they shouldn't be, a kind stranger would point them in the right direction and not do them any harm. If they were to harm Cronas then... Oh well, they suppose. They do see the logic of being punished for crimes committed to deter anyone from attempting to do said crime, but they could have told them to not do it again and Cronas wouldn't. Ever. Unless another individual told them it was alright. They would then do it again until another said otherwise. After a constant loop that seems to last for eternity, they would eventually understand some actions were good and some were bad. Others were alright, but just barely and some were wrong only in certain contexts. Emotions were a pain. They never understood why everyone seemed to have them. Perhaps if they had emotions, they would be able to understand the situation they were in. Being stuck in a tree was less than ideal, but they did find the view pleasant and if they wait long enough, someone was bound to walk past. They were glad they weren't hungry, they thought. Rather, they could definitely eat something now - they'll never say 'no' to food - but the pang in their stomach that one would feel when hungry wasn't present. That was good. The tree they were stuck in bore no fruit so even if they were hungry they'd have to wait nonetheless. But that was okay too. They're very patient. While Cronas may have no concept of emotion, Suvi's very essence often relied on her feelings. The soft glow her golden fur emitted oft changed color, relating specifically to her current mood. The child often acted based on her heart more than her head. One of her twins, the brother named for a bird to match his dark fur, had always been based in his mind. He thought meticulously over every detail. Suvi just wanted him to smile, and puzzling the logic of something had always done that. So she had left him to his books and thorough plans, never quite being able to puzzle together herself, why he seemed to operate so differently from her. A matter of mind. A matter of view. Suvi wanted to be happy. The happiness of others always made her smile. The bonds she shared; those made her happy too, knowing that she was someone's preferred friend. That she made them happy too. Even if she did not, however, the child did her best to try. There were some faces in this world that she simply failed to bring smiles to. Unfortunate fact. The pup did like dwelling on that thought. If something else made them happy... Well, something else made them happy. Suvi hoped though... She was enough. For at least someone. That would be enough. Although, since arriving in this new, strange, pack, the child had yet to truly connect to anyone. Caesar had been cold and rude and mean; she wondered if she should try a different approach, but it seemed to her the fact she did not talk simply agitated him and she would not speak just for him. It did not make sense for her to change for someone who wasn't very nice anyway. Still. It bothered her. The child had to skitter to a pause when she noticed someone high above her, her paws slipping and sliding - as they oft did when she hit the breaks too sharply - on the grass. Her prey, a dancing butterfly, soon fluttered on its way, vibrant wings glistening in the cracks of light cast by the climbing branches. Suvi tilted her head up sharply, a soft blue glow cast by her fur. A soft, yet high-pitched whine rumbled in the petite direwolf's throat. Deep, chocolate hues gleamed brightly in curiosity. She pressed a paw up on the trunk, raising to her hind legs, but it was not quite as high as she'd like. Suvi could not climb. A quiet, albeit somehow worried "hmmm..." resounded from the quiet pup, tail wagging hopefully as she regarded the stuck child. Maybe he just needed encouragement? Or someone to catch him? Or did someone else have to climb? Not built for that. Disappointed with the truth, Suvi sat back down with a hmpf before tilting her head up once more and howling. It was a high sound, almost like her earlier whines, and nowhere near as resounding as the song her father or elder siblings could produce. She tried nonetheless. Her sister had always said with a situation she did not know how to handle, she should call for help. In a pack, this did the trick. Da might hear. He'd be able to help, she was sure. Anyway, a tree was not the worst place to spend the day. Suvi would keep the other company until someone with the talent she lacked showed up. [align=right]— mhaighdean uasal bhàn |
