MOVE, HOT ROD // ESCAPE ATTEMPT - B. DELORIA - 10-02-2018

[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9.4pt; line-height: 1.4;"]As soon as Butch learned Frog Lady wasn't waking up from her nap, he immediately recognized that it was his chance to flat out beat feet outta Deadsville. He didn't want to think about what'd happen if he stuck around- maybe he'd get passed to someone else worse than Frog Lady. Yeah, maybe there'd be someone better, but he wasn't gonna bother waiting for that coin toss, so he devised a plan. Sort of. He wasn't Val, never would be, except Val wasn't him and couldn't charm the last belonging off a miser. That was Butch's domain, and he wouldn't let a bit of metal around his neck deter him any. Not from freedom of this dump filled with creeps.

So. The plan. If he could call it that, since it was mostly causing a distraction and booking it. Wandering around the desert beat acting all subservient.

"Hey there, dreamboat." The border collie sidled over to some guy investigating the poisoned water, who startled a bit, then glanced at his collar. "My eyes are up here." Predictably, he instinctively glanced up, for Butch to give a smirk and bat bright eyes. "My master wanted me to send you a message." The guy had his back completely to the water by now, and Butch didn't hesitate to shove him into it. "Drop dead twice, shithead." Skirting around, Butch hauled ass across the sand, running like Val was on some kinda science rant chasing after him.

Now, if Butch hadn't shoved someone into the poisonous waters the temporary Demiurge would have considered letting the other escape scottfree yet that didn't seem to be the case. He let out a soft huff with both ears pinned against his cranium feeling a form of frustration yet he wasn't able to do much but capture this bitch. "I really don't like doin' this," He said to himself in a low voice, his pupils narrowed into dangerous slits and soon enough the direhound was trotting forward until it turned into a powerful run with his muscles rippling under his thick coat, soft chuffs escaping his jaws. He was slowly catching up and once Quill was close enough would he lunge forward and attempt take a grip on the back of Butch's neck if he managed to come out successful, the direhound attempted to pin the slave in a quick motion with powerful jaws still around the other's neck yet his grip was gentle and not threatening to puncture the other's jugular. He proceeded to speak with a soft snort escaping him "You realize you could have just gone without killing the dude." There was a pause as he spoke in a low, quiet voice so only the slave would hear "Fuck man, you could've killed frog psycho. . ." He was sure that Valkyr would come along and help Quill battle away his, morality, Valk was never far from him nor Quill far from the sha creature.

[align=center][div style="text-align: justify; width: 55%; font-family: georgia; font-size: 11pt; letter-spacing: -1px; color: black"]"Perhaps he is not dead yet." Or maybe he might be considering if he had swallowed a lot of that poisoned water on his way down in it. If he vomited it up there might be a chance to save him and the sha had went out of his way to dredge the poor male out of the water as he heard the splash and force yarrow down his throat. If he didn't vomit then he supposed that was a loss for them in a way. But as stunted emotionally as he was becoming he was starting to understand how life worked, how things changed and progressed. Quill was right in thinking that the sha was very much close to his location, he was always around where the much larger hybrid was concerned and his pink marble hues focused on the slave that had decided to make his escape on less quieter terms, if Quill had managed to catch him. A light look of almost pity filled his gaze but it was so flitting that it might have just been a mere trick of the light. "I agree that killing the frog would have been better than...this display. What should we do now? Throw him in the pit? A punishment is due for this I would think..." There was no opinion on slavery that the sha creature had. He was once a slave but hard work had pulled him out of that clogging life and now he was for himself. What he did and strove for was survival and if he would do it by any means necessary.

[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9.4pt; line-height: 1.4;"]Really? The whole point of pushing the guy was to get whoever followed distracted with being a good Samaritan, but Butch shouldn't have expected them to act like normal people. Like Val. The thought spurred him to run faster, kicking up sand and breathing heavily, but over the rushing blood in his ears he could hear steps behind, and the border collie crashed when a sudden weight pressed him flat. There were jaws around his neck, and he waited for teeth to puncture, to watch his own blood seep into the sand, though after a few seconds, when nothing happened, he started breathing again. "You coulda hauled him outta there," Butch shot back, vitriolic, struggling now that he wasn't as convinced he was about to die. Catching a slave was more important than covering a buddy's ass, was it? And here Butch thought he was easily replaceable. Maybe he still had a chance- except he didn't know what the hell he could do from this position, and against someone so much larger than he was. Who woulda known despair was such an effective meal replacement?

Pawsteps nearby. Butch couldn't really see with his face mushed into the sand, who had a bit of faith in whatever schmuck the collie pushed. And he supported the idea of killing Tsuyu, like Butch had the luck to manage it; she'd probably wake up before he got anywhere and nail him to the wall. "How 'bout I consult you next time, then, dip stick?" More useless squirming. "Whatever you've got designs on, just get it over with before I suffocate."

She still wasn't feeling good after drinking the water, but her symptoms had died down enough to allow her to get around some, though she did have to throw up every once and a while. The shakes were awful, but they were happening less and less. Considering everything, she considered herself right as rain. So, being the victim of it herself, she highly doubted the guy had died just by being pushed in. But if he swallowed any, it would be a different story. All any of them could do was hope that it wasn't the case, or that he would pull through as she did.

Surprisingly, it wasn't too common for their slaves to try to escape, as badly as they were treated. She was glad, considering that meant they knew what their place was in the grand scheme of things. In her mind, all of this was just how it worked, being a former slave herself, though it had been in another place and another time. Some people had to serve, whether it be for a period of time or for the rest of their lives. However, there were the few that were like Butch here. They were too prideful or headstrong to accept their circumstances.

She pads up next, a blank, almost unimpressed look on her face. She agrees that a punishment is due, though apparently his master isn't around to supply one themselves. She's somewhat glad for that, though. "The pit would probably work." she says quietly with a bob of her head. Making him drink the water himself was another, though that would probably be more difficult, since there was forcing him to do it and then the consequences of his sickness. Natural selection at it's finest. Maybe it would prove if he was strong enough or not

[div style="text-align: center;"]"Or wake up his Master." Dabi's voice rang out as the scarred direwolf walked over, squaring up against Quill's own size. While Tsuyu used to be a hero, he still tolerated her (and slept with her once, oops.). He didn't care for much, but he wouldn't just let these fools punish Tsu's slave by themselves. He was sure that his crazy frog bitch of a friend wouldn't enjoy the fact that her slave tried to escape her grasp while she was in such a deep sleep. After all, she wasn't hard to wake up if you cracked the ice she had hid herself in. She wasn't hard to kill either, but it seemed others around him had some type of common sense, or they were lazy.

Damn, Tsu really didn't have a good reputation here. Pitiful frog. "If you take him back to her cave and wake her up, she could give him a good beating. He should know his place." He offered with a shrug of his shoulders, scratching behind his ear with his paw.
