Coming from the desert t to lush fertile greenlands was a dizzy comparison from arid heat to somewhat temperate and cooling grassland underneath the young canine’s paws.  At least there wasn’t nothing really to make him be careful of his steps,  no snakes lurking under the rocky outcrops or scorpions scurrying here and there.  At least the least thing he could deal with was the occasional ant or large insect.

Escaping from the pitts as a slave was the single most difficult thing he had ever done, he had to do it in the dead of night where most of the members were asleep, at least that was what he hoped, and he was quick to haul his ass from out of the territory in case the alarm was raised, he knew escaping would result in a harsh punishment,  a sound flogging which either one promote his death or render him useless until his injuries were healed. 

Now he didn’t escape by himself, he escaped with another slave.  A fellow slave named Leona, they have come to a mutual agreement that neither deserved this kind of treatment, and decided escaping was worth a chance, if one they weren’t caught or two killed in their attempt.  So far fate and luck had smiled on them, and here they were in a new territory, and it has been a long time since he had seen flowers let alone trees.

“Where you suspect where we are Lee?”  the dark grey and white speckled canine asked the feline mutant.
