Amun wasn't sure what to think of... well, of anything, really. He'd only been in his physical body for a few days and he was quick to realize that a significant amount of time had passed since the last time Amunet had let him out. He wasn't sure how long or why she hadn't wanted him to come out from their little bubble but the fact stood that it'd been... some amount of time and he found most of what surrounded him foreign and completely unfamiliar. He didn't seem to care for it much but there wasn't anything he could do about it. His sister was still distraught over the man that'd gone away and it was just job to comfort her in whatever way he could. This was far from a simple task, given his difficulty in both reading and expressing emotion, but he would try his best. She told him that sometimes it was just enough to listen so that was usually what he did. She might cry for a bit, he'd do his best to comfort her, and then they'd both move on with their lives. This time, though he felt like it was worse than usual. They'd usually just have a conversation or two and then she'd hide him away again. He'd usually eat while all this happened. It might seem callous to an outsider but he didn't get to eat very often and he savored the moments when he could.

There were lots of others things different about this time too, like how he was able to speak with others and didn't just stay in a single room with his sister. He'd been able to wander around and talk to whoever he wanted. He quickly found that he didn't enjoy everyone's company and, while the interactions were exciting and positive, they were also exhausting. There were so many people to meet here, he wasn't sure how he'd even remember them all. Today that was exactly what was on his mind. If he was going to be out for quite some time, he wanted to know the people he lived with. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to make any 'friends' like Amunet had but he supposed it wouldn't be such a bad thing to try. All mortals seemed to eventually bring her pain but the initial meetings and friendships always seemed nice. He just couldn't stay around long enough to watch them die and he'd be alright. As he walked, he noticed a stranger coming towards him. He had a bag slung over his shoulder full of different plants and rocks he'd found. He moved it back slightly. He stared at the woman for a moment, debating how he should address her or if he should say anything at all. He knew that he should try to make friends. Amunet had told him that. Instead, he forced his gaze away from her and made his way to the side of the path. He quietly began to pull out the rocks and plants, sorting them into meticulous piles. He should have said something. He was sure she wouldn't even want to ever talk to him now. Oh well. What did he care? These people only caused Amunet pain when she got too attached. Why would he want someone that he knew would have to be replaced so soon?
