THE FUTURE IS NOT A RIVER TO CARRY US, IT IS THE OCEAN IN WHICH WE DROWN IF WE ARE NOT PREPARED
clawed forepaws bit into the sandy terrain, stark to the whiter sands were these obsidian blades, tipped as they were with thin red lined glows - bright almost like the saber edge of the many who had tried to take his position with a straight up challenge.

Alas they'd failed - and that was old history even back home, given the entire curbstomp the sudden third faction led by their own prior emperor - a parasite with no common decency to know to stay dead - and the subsequent fallout therein.

Not that it mattered now perhaps - for whatever had caught them in its entrapment with the machine in their last mission - force using machines, always trouble - had snatched him and spat him out here - in this land,  Far far away from his friends, his family, his people, his fight.

Add to the fact he was distinctly lacking his former form for one - the thing had spat him out four legged and clearly less human than before, jarring to go from bipedal to quadrupedal.

Perhaps it was said to how far his - and his siblings - lives had gone off the rails that this seemed so much less startling than it should have been.

Maybe marginally less crazy than the mad science required to go diving in toxic waste - or maybe this was a latter consequence, the chitinous bone like structure along his rubs and back certainly seemed similar to the hard shelled kolikoids.

The human turned hellion merely heaved a sigh - golden eyes glancing ahead to the forested island before him, somewhat he was reminded of rakata prime or rishi with those jungles - pray that this had less hostile natives like rakata and maybe more eccentric types like the rishi people - or their often rife pirate organisations, force knows he'd been tripping over the various gangs on his time their.

a snort behind him and Alek glanced back - ah, at least one familiar face had been thrown here with him, his Faithful pet's red eyes glancing around curiously as the dark forced Lizard shifted idly along behind him, Nifyl's quiet companionship was at least something of a boon given his only other familiar face, well-

Golden eyes glanced to the side as the spirit of a winged white lion peered back at him, raising a brow before disappearing - and Alektto could only be too glad that his eternal unawanted passenger hadn't decided to cut in with more Cryptic remarks and vague non-answers.

His chances of getting rid of said ghost stuck here now in said condition were practically nil now - though he was idly amused that Valkorion's spiritual form was significantly shorter than his own now, clearly whatever he'd been shifted into was a taller - and maybe more unusual - form of predator, or some unholy abomination, he honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was the latter - given everything he'd been through and the dubious workings of machines so he didn't die from too much power too fast probably had changed him significantly - even if he'd still looked human then.

Either way, ruminating on strange pasts wasn't going to do anything now - better to face whomever lived ahead for some kind of refuge and clearly given the vague figures he could pick out, there was a group here.

He lacked a Lightsaber - mores the pity - only the crystal remaining of whatever had become of his weapon that hung around his neck, but thankfully this from came with its own weaponry - and while most of his abilities were still knocked out after the sudden appearance here - his ability to call up Sith lightning had not deserted him, small mercies.

The five foot tall hellion stopped shy of the border glancing about until he spotted a vague figure not far off and called out "Stranger! Might I ask where I am? And where I might find refuge?" Nifyl snorted behind him, the 'dark side dragon' - and he could see how the hssiss had garnered that name, was rather deserving given the feel and nature of the beast he'd acquired - pawing at the sand idly and seemingly eyeing the stranger area dubiously, Alek spared him a glance and quietly murmured an affirmation on feeding him later while they waited for the stranger to approach and answer.

/oh just FYI only alek can see Valk atm given the nature of how he's stuck with him + valk often only appears to him in case anyone was confused if they can see him or not. Most of this is game backstory ruminating etc from where my OC is from.

Re: OUTLANDER | Joining - Kian. - 09-26-2018

KIAN Ó FAOLÁIN
So bring on all the monsters, That lie sleeping in the blue
I'll fight 'em all bare handed, Screaming I ain't scared of you
What?  The faerie had a moment to blink, then finally just shrugged to himself, bounding towards the voice with a friendly smile, eyes glinting with curiousity.  "You can," the Irishman answered, tail twitching behind him.  Couldn't anyone be a normal sized... Creature... Or just a little closer to his eye height?  Kian was beginning to grow weary of having to look up at everyone, especially after so many moons the captain of his own crew.

"This is the Typhoon, and if you don't mind bein' surrounded by pirates, I see no reason not to take refuge here." For some, that was simply not the life.  Kian understood, mostly, but he had been a pirate since after the war tore his home apart.  It was the freedom he craved more than anything else.  He did not care about pillaging or plundering so much. "Kian Ó Faoláin," he offered, dipping his head.  "An' what do I call you?"

✯ — keona sibéal ó faoláin. female. minnow of the typhoon. blind. rusty spotted cat.  ref. bio.
The petite minnow popped up behind her father, as children were prone to do.  Her pale sea-green hues dutifully attempted to track the stranger's voice, noting it was - unsurprisingly - rather high.  She smiled politely, tail swaying absently behind her.

The kitten had known pirates all her life.  She had practically been born into the pirate life.  Living any other way seemed odd and foriegn to her, though she supposed all those other groups out there weren't pirates.  She rather liked living here though.  She liked having a crew.  She liked living near the sea.

"Aloha," she murmured softly.  "'m Keona... ó Faoláin." Might as well.  Did her father always introduce himself with his full name?  She hummed softly in thought, brushing up against her father, eyes bright with curiousity.

THE FUTURE IS NOT A RIVER TO CARRY US, IT IS THE OCEAN IN WHICH WE DROWN IF WE ARE NOT PREPARED
The first two to greet him are shockingly small - and he spares a brief thought on what if this world's inhabitants are all so small? he'd end up a giant in a land of small creatures, irony considering the amount of races that towered over even the tallest human, but he moves away from that thought, it's likely not the case.

he raises a brow at the mention of pirates - ah, Andronikas would likely fit in here fine - and idly hums "Pirates hm? no can't say I'd have a problem with that" massive irony in becoming a pirate when he'd once had to masquerade as a pirate lord - maybe the force had a hand in his being dealt unusual amounts of irony, hm.

"Alek Lykaios" the hellion replied in kind - wary to use his title, for yes while he and his pet had ended up here alone, that might not be the case forever and given that no one without sense of the force and effort would be able to tell it was him in this state, using his title if an enemy did end up on whatever backwater world this was in a similar state would be annoying to deal with, next to nobody but his family were even aware of his given name, still best to shorten it - the sith shifted, motioning to the bigger beast behind him "This is Nyfyl - he won't be a problem to you" not entirely true, he could set the beast on them but they weren't his enemies - a novelty that he currently had no enemies here after so long deflecting other ambitious sith's attempts, the war against the republic and then being hunted down by a sudden third faction hell bent on killing him because an eternal thorn in his side attached his soul to his - and the Hellion was plenty dangerous on his own even sans a saber and distinctly less bipedal.

of course the even smaller one, the blind child he corrected, piped up and he inclined his head to her "greetings" these two were quite strange in the force, but then perhaps all creatures here were - it wouldn't be the first time he'd ran across unusual creatures - Nyfyl was one of them, the hssiss being a creature of the dark capable of poisoning others with it.

"Its as good a place as any to stay" he mused, mulling over the decision - this was the first group he'd come across and not merely a few strangers in an untainted land and likely they had an amount of enemies given the 'pirate' label, hmm - he nodded to Kian "is there anything I should be aware of when staying here?" allies, enemies, their leader - any strange practices he'd be expected to participate in, he'd never liked going in blind.

Re: OUTLANDER | Joining - PINCHER - 10-01-2018

CAPTAIN PINCHER ROUX | resides in the typhoon and is the demigod of rough seas. he is a muscular dark gray jaguar with frigid glacier blue eyes, marked with scars and glowing tattoos. he is the head of the roux family and is currently single. he is known for being a charming strategist with dark secrets. be cautious around him. —— ⚓
❝ YOUR HEART IS A BOTTOMLESS ABYSS — DEEPER THAN YOU'D LIKE TO ADMIT ❞
Pincher had met quite enough of eccentric creatures to know which stood out like sore thumbs and which did not. With all the traveling he did in his earlier times, it wasn't surprising when he could tell when someone was certainly going to be an oddity. Personally, he wasn't eccentric nor did he want to be. He was taught and trained to be a chameleon, shaping himself into what was deemed good and acceptable so he could slip into someone's trust and use their security to gain something, usually power and control. That was what it was to be a clone...a hybrid of his father's and uncle's work. Why couldn't he be himself? Well, to be exact, he didn't know what being himself was. He didn't know anything outside mimicking the type of personality that his teachers had taught him, had forced upon him to grow and blossom from. What was it like to be your own person? To be able to have the capability to think in your own way and not have to relate to what you had been taught? It sounded heavenly but too good to be true in his opinion.

The sleek jaguar was stepping softly through the long lazy hills of ivory sand, his teeth gently sinking into the tough exterior of the cigarette he was currently smoking. God, it had been a while since he had taken a good long smoke break. In the past, he would've worried about his health especially since he knew how harmful it was in his lungs but now that he had risen from the dead, he didn't feel afraid. He didn't feel like a mortal especially after being labeled the demigod of the rough seas. Ruthless. Cold. Deadly. A storm brewing inside a bottle of a being but Pincher tried his best to cling to whatever "humanity" he had left, the love he had for his family and his crew stuck to him and forcing him to keep going. As he arrived, his forked tongue curled around the cigarette and he pulled it fully into his mouth when he noticed it was other members and a stranger. He didn't like secondhand smoke and he wasn't going to harm anyone because of his deadly habits. "Welcome to the Typhoon, Alek and..." Pincher drifted off as he glanced towards what the peculiar male had gestured but simply raised a fictional eyebrow before focusing back onto Alek, flashing a light warm smirk. "Name's Pincher. I'm the captain around here. There's a lot of shit you should know but we can talk more about it when we help you find a place to stay." He wondered what had lead Alek to come decide to live in the Typhoon but he refrained from asking.
