The endless Void, The gazing abyss, The bottomless ocean of horror...It coiled itself around your tender heart

this was a familiar scene - or well at least to him.

gargantuan dragon and small tiny lifeforms just jumping and parkouring across his frame - with the odd one or two settling for sitting fine and dandy on his head like their own personal throne.

of course everyone also knew he was a huge softie no matter his grumbling on the topic - and these were his precious tiny babs, precious tiny feathered killing machines, so he could be forgiven for allowing them to hop across the many spines and spikes like their own personal obstacle course.

if anything it brought back memories of a far drier and far hotter place where the people were a lot more ravenous for action and a good brawl, the stench of the blood nile never far off - the kids back then had much enjoyed a huge obstacle course for them t be occupied with in between the harshness of life there.

as it was Luci didn't mind it - content to chuckle idly while watching his children scurry around his much larger frame.

Re: MOMMA BEAR | open, - EXODUS-- - 09-24-2018

≡ -- needle thin talons, digging sharply into grooves of ebony armored hide. exodus hoisted herself over sable skin with calisthenic effort. muscle flexed in underlying acrobatic ability, the striker finding her way through the gaps of wicked spines that rose from her mother’s back like spires.
exertion was paramount for the maturation of their youthful muscles at this early age; it strengthened their hearts, sheered the baby fat from their bodies until nothing more than a honed, intramuscular body primed for predation was left. climbing  terrain honed their ability to adjust to uneven terrain, traversing it with ease and aiding in their ability to remain fluid in their strategies and movement. it was skill, and exercise for the body and soul. it made the child’s heart rush in pleased exhilaration.
to exodus’s primitive mind, lucifer was not only a mother. they were a pillar. a mountain. immovable. firm and resolute.
and a playground of sorts for her progressing body.
learning to swiftly move between the obstacles that was mother’s spines made her heart sing in tandem to the pitter patter of roughened feet feet.

toiling laboriously through a maze of scaled hide, a sweet litany of breathy purring spilled through parted lips and ivory teeth. she paused to inspect the body beneath her, gaze roiling enviously at the powerful body beneath her. she was blessed to be under the protection of a God, ignorant of her fateful luck.
she yearned to possess a form as powerful as the dragon’s beneath. a form laced with rippling, compact body and every limb sharpened to power. an indomitable desire for promised glory and dominion of body burned heavy in her gut. it would come to her one day; she just had to wait. and one day, utter, unparalleled lethality would be promised to her.

but exodus was never a patient beast.

the child of feathers and raw instinct plopped down upon lucifer's back, jaws parted to gently nip mindlessly upon on of many of lucifer's spines-- not that her still developing teeth could ever scratch mother's hide. they were untouchable in the child's eyes, but exodus was a creature of habit. couldn't help the odd ticks she'd never realize she began to show when she was far too complex in thought for her animalistic brain. it felt far better to take the edge off by heeding to the call her body and doing what she often did best.

I will not take this anymore; these words will never be ignored. you want a battle? here's a war
It was not - so he would say - jealousy that flashed so terribly briefly in the pirate's sea-green eyes.  Truth be told, Seamus wanted what Kian had... What Lucifer had.  When Keona 'looked' at him, she only saw her uncle.  Not a parental figure... More... Just another member of her family.  That would be enough, if he could chase the lingering thought of her parentage away.  That would be enough, if his claws did not dig into the ground everytime she looked to her father.

There was something to Kian that Keona loved more than Seamus.  He wasn't her da.  Yet, the fae still found himself yearning for that.  The only cat he would ever have wanted to raise a child with was Haliaka... And she had been Kian's.  Chosen his twin.  Now she was dead.  Keona the only remaining piece of her.  The kinder part of his heart wished that his love had lived if only so Keona could grow up with both parents.  It had not worked out like that.  So Seamus lingered by, offered a guiding paw when necessary, trying to push Keona in the right directions.  Teach her.  She had a lot to learn.

The small feline kept his distance from the raptors, but his lips quirked into a dull smile.  "That's one way to keep kids busy," he observed.
