How far I'll go; Private - Pincher - ARGUS - 04-08-2018

YOU'LL KNOW I WASN'T JOKING WHEN YOU SEE THEM TOO
Dusk was on their heels, chasing the sun down the horizon with little fanfare- casting the rapids of the sea to light up like freshly spilled blood. The striker was quick to change her focus, dark red eyes turning instead towards the center of the island. The edges of the jungle calling out for her. Something different- something safe that still meant home to her. Because that is what this was, This was home.

Home was a word that she had used before. She used it in riverside- the evolved clan that lived off the legacy of her dead son. She had called that place home she had sworn to protect and to love- and she had she had found a love there that she did not think she would ever find again. She found her happiness there- but not the right way. And the world punished her for that folly. She came to that clan seeking vengeance, seeking to strike down the leader and remind him- Remind the clan of it's mistakes. In the end that mission was moot, and she left with the similar feeling of ash on her tongue and fire in the skies.

She was determined here- to never let that happen again. It was stating, it was frightening all at once. Argus had a home to call her own. She came into the typhoon with open wide eyes and a clear purpose, and they have accepted her so readily. She felt honored, humbled- she felt terrified and undeserving. She was determined to prove that she was worth it- wirth this clan- and the family it allowed her. She would be worthy of such a place to call home.

Because Argus came to this clan a blank. A new person with the memories of her past monsters- past selves dying with regrets. Argus was created to become someone different. She was a blank- a new start. But she still had everything that her other's did. Their need, their wants, their hungers. It would not leave her for a long time. Part of her did not want change, she wanted to cling to what she knew- what she remembered and fall back into the same cycle.

But there was Whisper- who died alone and crying. There was Obscuro mourning and reckless. There was Zactov, who was immoral and desperate. And Argus- her name was chosen by a broken wolf at the end of it's ropes. That broken animal- that beast looked out into the world and realized decided to be a watcher.

So Argus' legacy was to watch. Not to become the judge, witness or executioner. She was set to watch and adapt. To change with the growing world around her and maybe- maybe offer her next life something worth living. But she refused.

She would not watch as this clan grew, would not sit idly by and accept her new role without helping- without contributing. She was broken, hollow and two steps away from rabbid. Beastal in every way but rational. She felt the eyes of her peers- of her loved under her skin- screaming into her mind. And thought to try again.

It was in the cusp of night, that Argus landed outside the leader's den. Pincher was inside somewhere, she just hoped he would hear her out before he made a choice.

"Pincher, I came to talk. In private, if that's alright?" The strike asked.
