united under our indifferences — stryker - darci - 09-17-2018 [div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 60%; font-family: georgia; font-size: 13pt; text-align: justify;"]He could feel the pressure of the leather harness pressing down on his shoulders. The cold ice and snow underfoot, the labored breathing of his team following at his heels. The call to turn left reached his ears and his body reacted without even a single thought. This year was the year that he would lead his friends to victory. Lost in the idea of placing first, he forgot to look to where he was going. The Siberian husky slowed down his pace, the image of running back home in Alaska faded away, giving way the trees and dirt around him. Victor slowed his pace, his hind leg searing with pain. He had pushed too hard, and now he would suffer the consequences for the next few hours. Dropping his pace down into a walk, he looked about, unable to recognize where he was. The scent of The Typhoon was nonexistent, replaced with something rather potent. Coming to a half he looked around, sides heaving as he worked to catch his breath. Blueish green eyes looking about, he admitted to himself that he had manged to get himself lost. Still rather unfamiliar with this part of the world, it would be a trying task to get back. To even think that the husky had managed to cross into the territory without noticing their change into a desert climate and eventually into the jungle surprised Stryker. Of course, he wasn’t totally unsure. After all, where did the beach end and the desert start? Nevertheless, that did not mean they had a reason to be here. The border was prominently clear. Perhaps, though, this male had chosen not to care about that. Stryker figured that was the case. As a newly appointed, but reluctant, Slaver he found himself looking for targets more recently. Someone walking into HIS domain deserved it. Thus he wandered the jungle’s underbrush, observing Victor quietly in hopes of not being spotted. So far, they proved not to be a threat. With a furrowed neck and narrowed eyes, the lion approached. ”Beat it, fish face,” he snapped. ”If you hadn’t noticed, you’re within The Pitt.” An unsheathed paw gestures to his surroundings. ”It’d be better for you to leave before the grim reaper takes ya for his own.” A blatant threat. Who said it wasn’t a promise though? //mobile, sorry Re: united under our indifferences — stryker - darci - 09-17-2018 [div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 60%; font-family: georgia; font-size: 13pt; text-align: justify;"]Victor emitted what was a concoction of a faint growl and a sigh. It was the third day in a row had he been yelled at. First someone in The Ascendants and then The Typhoon. Maybe he looked like a country bumpkin from the back woods coming to steal someone's chickens. Having caught the majority of his breath, he turned his head towards the sound of the voice. The canine's jaw dropped slightly, a look of awe flashing across his eyes. What is that? He had never seen a creature quite like. Then again, he had fucking dinosaurs running around his home so not much got to him. Back in Alaska, the strangest thing there was a moose with a brain worn running in circles. Closing his jaw, he swiveled his body to fully face Stryker. "My apologies." Victor meant no ill-harm. He was amazed he had not been attacked yet. Victor was not completely useless when it came to battle. As the lead sled dog, he had to compete and quarrel with his fellow team mates to earn their loyalty. It was just the scheme of things in his home. What the Siberian husky lacked in strength, he made up for it in speed. "Can you point me in the direction of The Typhoon? To be completely honest, I'm not sure where I am." His tuft fell but his claws remained. He wasn’t so trusting just yet. If this stranger was going to prove to be a threat, he wouldn’t be the one with a late start. Victor seemed genuine about his intentions of why he was wandering within the territory, so the slaver would give him that. ”I see,” he inquired curiously. ”You’re quite far from home now...” A cocky smirk crawled up upon his maw. ”And that’s fishy.” Queue the laugh track! Unlike before with ‘fish face’, his tone was more lighthearted and he was willing to play along with the situation. If he could gain an ally, what was there to lose? A lost soul, how funny. ”You’re in the Pitt,” Stryker explained. To someone familiar with the lands, they would of known that, but this one seemed oblivious. More chances to fuck around. ”Your home- I assume- is that way.” His paw gestured east. Victor must of came a little bit too far west and missed the beach. That’s too bad, but at least they had plenty of sand also. ”Ill walk you there myself so you have company.” Truthfully, his intent was to watch over their unannounced visitor to make sure he wasn’t doing anything suspicious, but he was not going to say that. With a click of his tongue, the lion began to trail off. ”Let’s go, fi-...” His words faded off. ”I don’t believe I ever caught your name, sir?” If it was fucking fish related, Stryker’s mind would be blown. //mobile |
