She didn't have many talents. She couldn't read or write, and she couldn't sing or make music in any way. But she was good at pretending. She was a good actress, so to speak. She was kind to everyone, never putting up a fuss, but her mind was a haunted place. Although she gave a warm face to everyone, she didn't exactly think well of everyone. She believed everyone had the capacity to be good--but some just weren't. Those people she didn't like. In a way, she had a strong sense of moral justice, which applied to everyone but herself.

Today Cosette wasn't doing much, simply taking a break from the duties she..didn't have. There weren't many things for her to do, as most tasks were already handled. So she was just laying around inside the fortress, watching people as they went about their day, blinking lazily. Hopefully something interesting would happen soon.
