GIVE ME REASONS WE SHOULD BE COMPLETE. YOU SHOULD BE WITH HIM, I CAN'T COMPETE. YOU LOOKED AT ME LIKE I WAS SOMEONE ELSE, OH WELL CAN'T YOU SEE? I DON'T WANNA SLOW DANCE IN THE DARK! —
[div style="width: 48%; line-height: 13px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px;"]It was strange for Haru to say he had a home- or a housd even. It had been so long since he had either of those things, to the point where the words almost felt foreign on his tongue. But things were different now; things were going to change.

It was probably strange that he had chosen a boat house so far away from the others, but he really didn’t give a fuck. Besides, he kind of liked this one. The house was painted a dark, stormy gray, with dark colored doors and windows and white frame. Yeah it was a bit... boring, but it certainly stood out among all the bright colored houses around town, as if it was that grumpy old man who yelled at the neighborhood kids playing in his front yard. It had clearly been abandoned for a while, the furniture inside slightly dusty and some of the paint on the exterior flaking off. Yes, it would need some... work, but that was alright with Haru. It would give him something to do, after all.

Walking inside, the shiba let his eyes wander to each piece of furniture, every little trinket within the house. The faint swaying of the house with the waves and the eerie silence that had settled within gave him an odd sense of calm. Deciding he would deal with the first floor later, Haru now made his way upstairs, passing through the bedroom to standing on the deck. From here, he could see the edges of town, but more importantly, the vast expanse of the sea. It reminded him exactly of being back in his home country, looking out at the ocean longfully and wondering what lay beyond it.

However, it didn’t take long for the more unpleasant memories to resurface, specifically one involving one of exes. They had gone to the beach a lot together before she eventually broke up with him. A few weeks later, Haru found himself singing a song about her, something he sort of regretted, but could never truly forget. Even after all this time, he still remembered the lyrics. “Don’t... rain... on... me... don’t... rain... on... me...

Why you gotta act so nice?
This ain’t televised... this ain’t televised... this ain’t televised
Movin’ at the speed of light
And I’m terrified... yeah, I’m terrified...
So please, for the love of god, don’t drench me...
" The male softly sang to himself, thankful he was alone. Of course, he failed to realize that he had left his front door open, allowing one of his clanmates to sneak in and listen.

/cant mention on mobile for some reason buuuut here’s the song he is singing in this thread- same voice

Once there might have been moments, weakness her mind uttered with a plastered sneer but easy was it to push aside the veil, nothing more than a measure to protect herself from harm, fleeting seconds she had wanted to allow it free. Yet her teeth seemed a gilded cage, bore in a smile that held behind it that simple word, the longing within her heart not quite enough to push through.

Beneath slow steps the boardwalks creaking, gentle sounds as the old wood settled, taking her slight weight with ease. Her own abode was closer to the center, simplistic within its tones of cream and white, outset by the jewel palettes about it. She found it cozzie, given gentle care over her time about the anchored town, but so too was it cloying. When possible her door stood open for all who sought to wander in, many drawn by the smell of fresh baked goods and tea, others seeking conversation, her title as mother held here though no longer did she call any her child. Yet it wore on her, minimal resources siphoned as further conversation was sought, moments in which she found herself restless, wanting peace from it all.

And so she walked. With murmur apologises she had left them, seeking the quiet of the sea breeze, a gentle murmur within her ears speaking with no voice, nothing but a faint moan. Few and far between were these moments, time when Ishayu sought the company of the sea and nothing more, satchel sinched about her waist weighed down with a sketchbook and pencil, the want to be around others too strong. Strange was it to think interaction was taxing, that it drew upon resources dwindling the more days that passed, and yet it proved a last resort to leave it all behind.

It was upon this trek, progress slow as she enjoyed the faint rocking of the boardwalk beneath her, she heard the faint strings of singing. She knew few who sang, or at least had yet to experience such, a faint pleasure rising, tinged with shock. Alone for the most part the house her attention turned to was unlike the rest, harbouring a tone darker than the pastel of the rest, uninviting to most but it proved no deterrent for the serval.

Approaching she hesitated upon the threshold for a mere moment, unsure on how to proceed. For many a door left open was an invitation for all, one she took rarely for she was cautious when entering the home of another even with such, wondering briefly if truly she might be welcome. Finally she stepped in, looking about the dusty space of the lower floor, soft hum escaping her. It seemed this belonged to one of the newer of their group, not yet entirely settled, such bringing with it further confirmation she should not be present but still the voice continued, a tune pretty if melancholy.

“Hello?” Taking the steps two at a time she took the first hesitant step out into the space designated as the bedroom, a tad bit cleaner than the rest, maroon gaze catching upon the other. He was unfamiliar to her, a canine unlike a great number of their population, unease touching her words as she stepped closer, not seeking to surprise him and hoping to announce her present before them. “I am sorry to intrude I just... you have a lovely voice.”
