ORDINARY WORLD | open, poetry/m&g? - PIERCE - 04-08-2018 ☀ ☀ ☀
How long had it been since Pierce arrived here- a week? Two? He honestly had no idea, but he figured it was time to finally get out of his den- he'd been spending far too much time in there, and honestly, it just made time crawl by slower; he might as well start doing, like normal stuff. So, rather than staying holed up in his (rather nice, if he did say so himself) home, Pierce dragged his art supplies out of his little yellow decorated den, nestling down somewhere with a few sheets of thick watercolor paper, some pencils, and, of course, some brushes and a watercolor palette. He wasn't gonna lie, he missed the spring, but that was okay. He liked cold weather, too- or, at least, he was used to it. Despite that, he was decorating the little page before him with bright flowers, a vast array of colors - yellow, pink, orange, red, pretty much anything imaginable -, and they framed a few lines of writing. Recently, the freckled tom had taken up poetry, perhaps as another way to vent his emotions? After all, he hadn't been able to bring all of his paints with him - he'd just have to get more later, but for now, he had to use them sparingly. Whatever was on this paper was probably a gushy love poem, or something really, really sad - with him, there was almost no in-between, or, on some days, the topics would even intersect. Humming a soft tune to himself, Pierce flicked a few strokes of yellow onto the page, watching with a vague smile on his lips as the paper soaked up the water, taking the color. He was off on the edge of camp, but he wasn't exactly hidden from his clanmates, his large, sandy form a bit difficult not to spot. Pierce wasn't hard to pot, that was a fact. In fact, many of Snowbound's members were hard to spot, considering most of the landscape was white and powdery with snow. Leigh, as naturally nosy as he was, spotted the male scribbling away and curiosity getting the better of him, he would gradually inch his way over until he was just about next to the male, trying to be as discreet as he could as he attempted to read the parchment out of the corner of his eye, but eventually he gave up the jig and turned to the other. "Hey man." he offered. Keep it casual and ease into the question at hand. "Whatcha writing? Or drawing? Do you draw? Anyway- just the first question. Feel free to tell me off by the way- sorry." The unicorn fumbled over his words with a soft nervous laugh, cheeks rosy with slight embarrassment. "SPEECH"

The crow was following swiftly behind Leigh, trying to catch him to hitch a ride. Her feet hurt! It was hard to walk as a creature that was supposed to fly! ... Hey. HEY. Get that stupid rattle out of my thoughts an- ARE YOU IMAGING ME IN A DIAPER WHATS YOUR PROBLEM?? ... Fine I'll stop complaining. Cry sighed at her inner turmoil. Sometimes she wished They would just leave her alone. They were a lot quieter recently but... They were still there. Always listening. Cry huffed as she tilted her head. What was this, armature hour? What was this guy even doing? Hiding? Wouldn't he want to cover himself in snow first? The raven huffed, a rumble caught in her throat. She went to try to climb up onto Leigh's back, cawing at Pierce. SPEECH |
