my only crime + p, aya - toboggan - 09-12-2018

Almost a month ago, he had been attacked by a gator, an insanely viscous gator at that. Weren’t those things lazy? He had thought they did not engage in chasing, but everything is unique apparently. Additionally, it had been almost an entire month since that same gator’s cadaver was donated to Aya, who employed Leroy on a body-hunting mission, for whatever purpose. Now that he thought of it, she had never mentioned what she was making, the only hint the feline gave was that it was not a what, but a who. From that day forward, numerous theories had composed in that thick skull of his, ranging from mere research to her building a golem of some sort, but as a henchman, it was not his place to ask questions. Yet, due to the fact that he was receiving no rewards for his grim task, the mutt felt that he at least deserved answers.

It was dusk, the setting sun embraced the swamp’s entirety in a fiery saturation, and Leroy was looking for his executive, for he had some parts, including some claws, a bird’s gizzard, and the highlight of his collection, a leg he nabbed from some sap in the ascendants, who was hopefully faring well. There was one limb he wanted to hold on to, though. Delilah’s leg. It would be wrong of him to just give away her body part without permission - granted, cutting off some foreign guy’s leg without permission was wrong, but with Delilah, it was different. To simply put it, she was family. Everyone in Tanglewood was family, despite some differences people held against each other. This, however, this was secret. Nobody but Aya should know about these deeds; yet, all this trouble he went through may be in vain.

Hell, he hadn’t caught sight of her lithe form in a number of weeks, maybe she just left or kicked the bucket and nobody noticed?

He sure as fuck hoped not.

"Aya, gotcha somethin!" he’d holler innocently in a relatively quiet area of the town. The location of where she resided was a mystery to him, so he’d first try his luck at shouting before investigating in-depth. Who knows? Maybe she’d hear him? Probably not. These days, she seemed really cut off from people.

[div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 55%; font-family: arial; font-size: 10pt; text-align: justify;"]Moments and minutes and hours had turned to days and weeks and months, and before she knew it Aya was sleep-deprived, with dried blood on her fur and light burning her eyes as she followed the call for her. She was surprised when she spotted Leroy; Aya had expected the call to echo only within her skull.

She had emerged from practically nowhere, her eyes following his movements closely. "What is it?" She asked, her voice croaky with lack of use.

The hound was rather pleased to witness the presence of Aya. Though technically his boss, he had a sense of respect for her that was comparable to a level of friendship, or a very strong acquaintanceship. Friends don’t hide stuff from each other, so perhaps he could nab some truths from her after the delivery was complete.

"If ya are still doin’ that thing, with tha body parts," he’d begin with a trace of uncertainty, ”I went out and gotcha the usual.” Lowering his noggin so the leather attaché he bore slid off his neck onto the ground, he’d open the case with care to reveal its contents. Along with a razor and his trusty amputation blade, in it lay the items aforementioned listed, with the fluffy leg of Romanempire a holy grail in the situation. If Aya saw it as that, that is.

”Went t’rough a lotta trouble ta get that, he was a fighter,” Leroy muttered, referring to the leg. ”but whaddya think? This enough?”
