believer // joining - ghostpact - 09-10-2018
A white lion with a thin and messy mane of slightly darker gray hair stood at the border of the Ascendants, golden eyes shown bright in the dark as he stared ahead. There was no specific point of fixation, he appeared out of it as he slowly began to hum a tune familiar to only himself (at least he thought so). While very new to the lands he'd wandered, he understand well enough the concept of borders and boundaries. All that was left for him to do was wait, however long that took. If it became really pressing, he could always step over without permission and show up at their door instead. Surely, there would be no harm in that.

BASTILLEPRISONER AURELIUS BY THE GRACE OF THE FIRE AND THE FLAMES
Luckily, Bastille's chronic patrolling usually meant that no one had to wait too long, if somehow he happened to be the first to stumble upon a stranger on their border. Admittedly those days had become less frequent indeed; he could remember a time when he was always first to the border, by nature of their Clan being so small (it was practically just he and Starry, for a while), but more often than not he showed up now to find that some others had beat him there. Which was fine by him -- he wasn't the best at smalltalk, and tended to give a shitty first impression. Let the friendly ones do the greeting, and all that jazz. This time, however, it looked like it fell to him. The bengal yawned as he shifted his pace slightly, turning more in this guy's direction to approach idly. [b]"Yo," he supplied, pale blue stare shifting over him for a moment before he nodded, "'m Bast. Did'ya need something?" To the point; joiners never really had anything too interesting to say, and if this guy was just visiting for some other reason, it got to the important part a lot faster. He blinked out of his reverie at the sound of someone else's approach. A pleasantly short wait, he decided as he watched the small cat approach. "Hello... Bast. My name is Nakir." Admittedly, he hadn't met enough people to say whether it was strange name or not, but it felt weird on tongue to say the least. "I am looking for someone. A few, actually, but... unimportant. I am mostly looking for a place to stay, if that is what you offer as I have heard." Sudden movement caught his attention, and he looked to the starry-pelted lioness bolting to Bast's side. Oh. Nakir ducked his head under the glare of her, ears pushed back as he scuffed his paws across the ground. "Tris...tezza. A... surprise seeing you here." He caught sight of the golden bands and grimaced, looking back up at the two of them now. "N-No, nothing of that here..." To be fair, that's exactly what he was looking for, but he could hardly make a defense for that. It wasn't like he was planning to "rise up" again with them, he was just looking for a familiar face. Tristezza was one, but in no way was she a pleasant surprise. "Please, can we leave that out of this?"
