CALCULATE // o, joining - eggplant18 - 09-09-2018

//did u know i can't write for shit
tl;dr: purple dragon bitch has sacks at his sides and a bag in his mouth- just his belongings
he came from tanglewood and is searching for beck

There was nothing left about Tanglewood that compelled him to stay. After that little ghost - Beck - left, leaving Morgan to step up, things changed. The wet and rotting forest had lost something that he couldn't quite place. Not the ghost- that much was already obvious. Eventually, without much will or reason, he had packed up his belongings and set off without a word. Notebooks went into sacks slung over his sides. Various crude glass bottles were held in a bag that was gripped in his jaws. It was unlikely that the Tanglers took notice of his disappearance.

His goal was to track down the strange cat. Intimidated by his blank nature and words, several NPCs had offered guidance before scurrying off. He was heading to the Typhoon. Was that really a smart idea? The pirate-ridden jungle was full of his enemies. Tanglewood's scent was still clinging to the dragon's scaly body- that was sure to attract some hostility as well.

The logic hung in his head, warning him to hang back, but his feet continued to carry him West. The wet ground became springy and the air became warmer. It was as if everything sprung to life around him at once. Sunlight reflected welcomingly off the increasingly brighter and bluer ocean. Grass became greener and undergrowth became thicker. Soon it all suddenly vanished, leaving him in a clearing drenched in Typhoon scents so strong it made his nose twitch. Empty cyan eyes traveled around the clearing, noting the vine and rust claimed train cars before trailing to the large arch to his left.

Ska'arq stepped over the train tracks as he approached the gate, taking in the sights around him. This was it. This was the entrance to the Typhoon. A glimmering cluster of bells caught his eye. To alert the members of newcomers, perhaps? Reaching out, the reptile took hold of the string and pulled once, listening as the brass clanged and sang. Surely they would arrive soon. He sat down and waited.

Re: CALCULATE // o, joining - FELIKS - 09-09-2018

[align=center][div style="text-align: justify; width: 60%; font-family: georgial; font-size: 11pt;"]The gryphon's nose was not as sensitive as it once was, but the swampy musk that indicated foreign clan life so close to the train tracks was a hard aroma to miss. Even if his knowledge of these lands were limited, there was a certain 'sting' to any group stench even in alien plains, and whilst Feliks would fail explaining the ins and outs of his reasoning for such a thing, he at least understood himself what the strange waft meant. Traversing across the moist grounds, the hybrid's wings were slightly outstretched as to make himself seem bigger in case of a threat. Sure, the sight of his amazing grin should've been enough to terrify any travelling troublemaker, but some times they had spines, and sometimes he couldn't get the proper intimidating angle on his beak. It was an art that he hadn't learnt to master. A lion's tail lashed, movements considerably slowed down as his ear tufts started to flatten back to their normal position. The bell's ringing echoing around in his hearing holes was enough to indicate that the mysterious stranger probably wasn't an invading ogre, with that the male said a huge 'screw you' to his attempts as stealth.

Pushing himself out of the nearby foliage, head held almost painfully high whilst he took in the sight of the purple dragon, a smirk appeared on Feliks' maw. Not quite the green hulking monster he'd been expecting, but even if it was a totally hideous being he probably would've treated it equally to this oversized lizard. Frontal feathers puffed out, the crewmember's golden wings tucked neatly back into his sides, a near-regal nod being offered to Ska'arq. It was a gesture that held far more prestige than the rest of him, with messy plumage plus back fur and a commoner's smirk, some drunken slurs wouldn't have been totally out of the ordinary for someone to see out of his kind's beak. Thankfully though, even if the pirate's ruggedness had enhanced his own messed, Feliks was proud to keep his sobriety. "Hey mate, wanna sing Jingle Bells with me? Seems appropriate," he croaked, nudging his ashen beak against the brass in attempts to create a softer sound. He wasn't a singer, but if the stranger was down for it the male wouldn't resist. "Or Jingle Bell Rock, I ain't fussy," he chuffed.

Stopping himself from going off on a tangent about the Christmas songs, emerald eyes would reign back in on the other, hard with judgement despite the relaxed tone he showed off. It was never easy to figure out how one would react to his jests. "You probably know how it is. Name and intentions, and also favourite hobby,". Why not add an extra thing to keep them on their violet toes?

Re: CALCULATE // o, joining - Grey - 09-10-2018

Bakugou had a lot of things he could say about The Typhoon. There were many little aspects of the island which irked him, many members who he didn't hesitate to make enemies with, but if he would never dare to leave. Truthfully, he was happy where he was. He doesn't mind the new life which has been set before him, no matter how sudden or unwanted it had originally seemed. There is a genuine appreciation the reaver has attached to the island. He may never admit it openly, but he'd miss The Typhoon if he ever had to leave. Perhaps it was why he put so much effort into making a name for himself. He felt passionate but at the same time, the past still gnawed at him like a tumour. It continued to grow on him, multiply and weigh him like a burden. Maybe this isn't his calling, maybe it is. Sometimes it feels to him that if he were to suddenly disappear, no one would notice. Even Kirishima seems caught up in other affairs, especially with his friend's promotion. Maybe Eijirou doesn't have time to remember him. He'd understand...begrudgingly.

The ragdoll steps over a tuft of grass, paws pressing against the soft texture as he stops for a moment to furrow his brows. It was the little things, perhaps, which always caught the male off guard. He hadn't expected the ground to feel so gentle against his pads, let alone expect to realise the feeling of the grass whilst he was so absorbed in his own thoughts. Bakugou clenches his teeth together, embers melting from his fire-coated tail. He closes his eyes and feels the unsteady rhythms of his chest, as if his core had trouble sitting at a constant temperature. Maybe, he thinks, he's dying. The other world will grasp him, drag him out of this one to experience hell once more. Or at least something doesn't feel right with his body. It feels unsteady, unable to maintain itself as though he'd disintegrate into the soil, be thrown away by the wind. Every inch of his body is on fire, darting back and forth and in frenzy. He's being torn apart and put back together in nanoseconds. It's not noticeable to the naked eye but he can feel it, he can see the irregularities which sit along the pupils of his eyes, trembling.

He almost doesn't notice the chime of a bell, as if his ears weren't still enough to recognise the vibrations which echoed along the air. Bakugou winces, snapping the air and growling to himself to 'get your fuckin' self together'. He's likely tired, probably slipping back and forth various gulfs of time and reality. He's stuck in a realm of dreams, frightening him through the awoken eyes. Shaking his fur in an attempt to fire his neurons, the reaver continues to walk through the forest to the train tracks. He walks along them until he sees the reptilian creature at the bell, greeted by Feliks who he so far lacked a negative opinion of. Jingle Bells, Jingle Bell Rock. The ragdoll snorts a puff of smoke, amused by the male's suggestion. Bakugou would much appreciate if the gryphon didn't sing. He has no qualms against his voice but he does have qualms against the idea of singing. Bakugou didn't come here to hear two creatures use their voices for music. Hah, no, he just wants this foreigner's business over and done with.

Bakugou raises a brow at Feliks' inquiry, intrigued by the way the gryphon chose to change up their usual 'name and business' norm. He's not particularly surprised considering how refreshing the male was compared to other Typhooners but he's pleasantly amused. Bakugou has always resisted the norm, never really saw the need to ask for a stranger's name as he assumed it to be information one should always give regardless. It was simply common practice, something to be expected. The ragdoll especially doesn't care about names if the stranger just happened to be passing by, looking for directions, or a merchant. Unless there was a wanted criminal lurking about, why should they need to know what the creature identified itself as? Well, the idea of chucking in a favourite hobby into the mix said a lot about Feliks' personality should one not have grasped an idea of it already. Bakugou admittedly rather liked Feliks. Well, regardless of what Bakugou thinks, he is here to greet this dragon for whatever he is here for. He hopes it's not another nuisance or eccentric nutcase.

"Bakugou," the ragdoll introduces himself, hissing a little at the pain beneath his fur.

cute! albeit the word was so overly used by the snowy child that it's meaning got lost somewhere down the track when it had been used for the eightieth time in a row, the dragon before linux fit the word to the T. various fabrics shaped into bags adorning his form, a pretty shade of purple expanse of his frame, linux's found herself staring at the older boy's appearance too long for comfort and quickly blinked away the uncomfortable stare.

sticking to feliks, linux side-eyed baku just a little as the small munchkin kitten arrived to greet the foreign boy as well. "that's a lot of stuff you're carrying, what's in all those bags?" curious as ever, linux would be bemused to know that the dragon boy was looking for beck; someone the alabaster child knew. "i'm linux by the way, i love to play video games."

"The name and hobby policy extends to all of us now?" he asked mostly amused that Linux had also offered her own hobby - the dark dragon's brow quirked upwards in the feline's direction before the mismatched gaze flickers over towards the smaller purple dragon - something about Barney floats around at the back of his mind - before he hums.

"Lucifer Grimm" and then with something amused "My hobby seems to be watching after you lot" they got themselves into enough hurts and dramas for it after all, bah, he shrugs idly.

Re: CALCULATE // o, joining - CAESAR CIPHER. - 09-10-2018

FORGETTING LIES AND PAIN !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE TYPHOON. OFFICER.
If the stench of Tanglewood was much stronger on Ska'arq, Caesar likely would have went after the guy but luckily for the dragon, he didn't really hold that strong of a scent - not to Caesar, at least. The demon followed after Lucifer, his tail flicking behind him as he stood next to the much larger dragon. Caesar rolled his eyes upon hearing Feliks's comment and he let out a huff of annoyance. "Officer Caesar Cipher," He grunted, deciding to introduce himself since everybody else did.

HEARTFELT PROMISES { .:*・°☆ } ——— [size=10pt]TAGS
Joiners were not an uncommon thing, especially in the Typhoon. Every time he seemed to pass by the gates of the Typhoon he would hear the ringing of bells or the sound of commotion and this time was no different. The king cheetah had been padding along past the gates, his paws aching as he so badly wanted to go home. He had been at the Colosseum observing the fighters and the tactics they used in order to help his own fighting, though even then he had a long way to go in terms of advancing in fighting and getting back to his shack. He began to pick up speed before his ears flicked at the sound of the voices outside the gate, his head swinging to look over towards the gate before his paws began to carry him there, the king cheetah limping over and looking out to spot the gathering crowd and what seemed to be a purple dragon. For a moment he contemplated leaving out of his own fears, before he realized that Lucifer was there in which the king cheetah slowly slipped over to them. He stood beside Lucifer as he looked over the purple dragon silently. Hobby? That's a new one.

"Marcellus." He introduced, trying to act as nonchalant as he could manage. "I guess a hobby for me is uh, well I don't know. Swimming?" His tone was questioning as he shrugged his shoulders and sat.

Re: CALCULATE // o, joining - eggplant18 - 09-10-2018

//squawk why are you so boring to read and write

Idly, he sat listening while the bells gradually became still. His wait was cut short when Typhoon members made their appearance, confirming his hypothesis on the purpose of the bells. First to stop before him was a griffon. A cyan stare traveled up and down while he took in what he saw. Name, business, and a hobby. Singing was out of the question. Completely disregarding the first inquiry, his bag was set on the ground as a monotonous voice spoke out. "My name is Ska'arq. I'm here to join." A pause. Need they know his other business? Yes- they would likely know of his whereabouts. "I'm looking for somebody, and intel has led me to believe he resides here now. A small brown cat with many scars. He goes by the name of Beck. Do you know if he is here?" Ska'arq ignored the question about his hobbies. He had none, anyway. What benefit would knowing such useless information serve?

While other members came by and introduced themselves, he quietly studied their words and movements. Personalities, rather. Bakugou was on fire, he noted dully. From his somewhat tense and rigid stance, the dragon could tell he seemed to be in pain as well. Surely he would be screaming if it were the flames causing it? No- he must have elemental powers. The idea of powers was still somewhat new to him. Looking into his pain would come later. Ska'arq nodded to him. "Hello."

Next was a... - what was the word? Bubbly. Happy and excitable. - kitten. Linux. "Notebooks," he answered curtly. They did not need to know of their contents. He dragged the bag at his feet closer, and its contents clinked softly. "A few bottles as well. Empty bottles."

When the massive dragon joined the party, he seemed unfazed as his head tipped up to meet his scarred face and eyes. What an odd looking beast. Lucifer Grimm. "Hello, Lucifer." Lucifer's tone and choice of words contradicted his appearance. Interesting.

The yellow cat that next spoke seemed to be of ill temper. He had introduced himself as "officer." A high ranking member, perhaps? Ska'arq met his eyes, momentarily watching him before offering a returned greeting. "Greetings, officer Caesar."

Finally was a piebald cheetah. Not the strangest of the group but he carried an interesting appearance nonetheless. The dragon met his gaze, head tipping softly as the last name was uttered. Marcellus. He hadn't any idea that a cheetah would enjoy swimming. Fascinating. "Hello, Marcellus."

Ska'arq glanced past the group and at the train tracks covered in a thin veil of water. "Am I permitted to join this group?"

FORGETTING LIES AND PAIN !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE TYPHOON. OFFICER.
The fact that the guy didn't answer Feliks's inquiry about hobbies made Caesar snort a bit in amusement - if not gain a couple of points in the Officer's book. Ska'arq appeared to be somewhat... robotic and to the point, but hey maybe that would be something he would improve upon. Or not, Caesar didn't care either way. "Yeah, Beck's here." The demon responded with a shrug. He was honestly kind of surprised that Beck was requested; the ghost boy didn't seem to like being near people or have any friends. Ska'arq didn't exactly look like he'd be the type to enjoy another person's company either, but then again, who was Caesar to judge? He didn't like anybody here and only tolerated his Crewmates at best.

"Yeah, you can join. Do whatever the hell you want, we don't care." The demon responded with another shrug, as if it was obvious that Ska'arq was accepted. And to him, it was. After all, since when had they ever drove somebody away?
