i'll leave a light on ✨ return - Mama - 09-09-2018 [align=center][div style="width:400px; font-size:8.4pt;line-height:1.1;color:#000;font-family:arial;margin-top:3px;margin-bottom:3px;letter-spacing:0px;margin-left:0px;text-align:justify;"]She may never speak of which drew her back to this place, what seemed almost a homesickness curling about her heart, tugging at its strings until they might snap. Impulse was present at the heart of her choice, given no room for rational thought for she knew such would arise and speak of returning, nothing more than another piece of the puzzle, a whole shaved down to fit. But was her place truly there, amongst those of kind heart and soft word, who found some purpose driving them on, when still she felt blood upon her claws though long had it been since those days. She had been raised a soldier, crafted in flames meant to break only to find a wicked edge carved from what once had been a little girl, so lost and along, expected to follow and with relish had she taken. Still was the tang of blood an old friend, one which arise every now and then, in moments when her guard cracked, sought to shatter beneath the warm presence of those around her, something she could not permit. She feared it might lead to further harm, that the facade she had weaved so carefully was faulty, a simple push all it needed to crumble. And so it had seemed a good idea when it arose, half formed and tantalising. No warning had been given, what good was such when they were sure to try and draw her back, change her mind though it had been set in stone, the first chance to slip away taken. She knew not how the group fared, if they had been able to depart the desert the Pitt called their own safely of their numbers were further thinned, thinking only of herself. Once more sand crunched softly, each breath rising from pale lips, the figure cloaked in heavy fabric. From the edges water dripped, the rain slowed until it was nothing more than a faint mist about her, everything about the way she carried herself speaking of fear and dejection. They had been welcoming when first she had shown herself, a stranger who might have harboured intent to harm, the wonderful man known as Monroe, one of few she allowed the title of friend, speaking without fear though his remark about eating him had been amusing. It seemed an age now though in truth it had been a week, possibly a bit longer, but enough time to cast doubt. “Hello? I...” her voice trailed into silence, given an edge which crackled for she had not spoken in sometime, the disuse clear for it dragged along her throat, the normally gravelled, deep tone left worse off, difficult to hear as she struggled to raise her voice. For a time she seemed almost to contemplate over the name to give, wondering if the last would be passable once more or if it was time to allow them to hear the full. “Ishayu, seeking to return if you would have me.” Re: i'll leave a light on ✨ return - Tena M. - 09-09-2018 [div style="width: 527px; line-height: 1.4; text-align: justify; font-family: constantia; font-size: 11px;"]Tena Moonspinner —
"Don't see why we wouldn't," the petite sand cat answered. A pair of unusual blue eyes gleamed brightly from the small feline as she padded over, long tail curling behind her. Sunhaven was a rather friendly group. They had taken her and Lavi in with open arms the second they asked. Individually, Tena was a far less open individual. There was a small number in the category of 'trusted' with her. Fewer friends. It was better that way. At least, that's what she told herself and so she kept her distance. But just because she kept everyone at arm's length, she did not have to be unfriendly. There was no gain in that, and she always found it easy to smile for others, so long as she did not find them overly annoying. Ishayu did not seem annoying, and she was looking to come home, as far as she was aware. So the former desert dweller smiled. "I'm Tena. Welcome back." [align=right]— I tell you this story, save your life, set you free Re: i'll leave a light on ✨ return - rhosmari - 09-09-2018 MONROE MALE — SUNHAVEN — HELION — HARD The male had been rather hectically busy as of late. There was so much to do and there was so much that he had yet to do. He needed to make a high position meeting of his dawnguards and his goldenbloods. He needed to make sure that they were safe and to prepare for Commerce week. Things were piling up and yet he felt like he was about to give out at any minute. A soft breath issued from the male as he moved along the boardwalk, shifting his pearl colored hues over the landscape and the buildings around him. When he had come back he had never thought that he would be the type to be leading. It just didn't seem like him. He was fun loving, the type to be a bit too careless and just trying to stick to looking on the brighter side of things. He hadn't understood his own promotions at one point, the names not making sense until he realized that they were indeed something. That he was rising in social standings. Yes, it had been good and it made him feel better about himself but he had never imagined something like this. Being Helion. It was not a goal on his list but regardless it had fallen to him. His paws stopped for a moment as he took in a tentative breath and tried to relax his form. Though tired he had a whole day to do the things that he wanted and he allowed himself to breath in and out. One webbed paw was placed in front of the other as he left the seaside town, the familiar crunch of sand beneath his paws filling his ears. But as one voice rose up he turned his head in that direction, gaze narrowing on two figures. One he knew as Tena but another he had to stare at a bit longer. His jaw dropped open and pearl colored eyes widened as he turned swiftly and started to bound over. He didn't much care about his well being, nor his healing body as scabs started to splinter and crack, blood welling up. He was just happy to see her. Stumbling a bit he had to forcibly stop himself, spraying sand up into the air as he looked at Mama with a grin on his muzzle. "Ya coming back home! I knew ya wouldn't leave us like that. It's really good tae see ya." Re: i'll leave a light on ✨ return - Mama - 09-10-2018 [align=center][div style="width:400px; font-size:8.4pt;line-height:1.1;color:#000;font-family:arial;margin-top:3px;margin-bottom:3px;letter-spacing:0px;margin-left:0px;text-align:justify;"]Unfamiliar though this one proved to be, at least in terms of who she was as a person, the sand cat was a sight she was accustomed to having grown within the heat of a desert herself, years bound in heartache and pain. But the lessons and experiences are hard to forget though she tried her best to push it aside, wanting nothing to do with that time. It seemed it had want to rise once more and the smile she offered Tena was strained, edges shaky though it was by no fault of her own, simply old memory. “Greetings Tena,” taking a soft tone she allowed her head to fall, thankful she had kept the hood up, hiding the twist of fine features. Given time she would learn to separate her how feelings, all too entangled within threads of memory swirling about her mind, driven to an exhaustion she would remedy given the next chance, but for now she could only hide. Forcing the discomfort to fade, replaced with a more neutral expression, it too came to shift, unease and some sense of joy touching her. Over him maroon toned eyes moved, catching upon skin left open from him sudden movement, faint the sound of worry rushing through pursed lips. She had heard only snatches of news, much of it revolving around the bigger groups present, around for a longer stretch of time, but some of Sunhaven had slipped through and had worried her greatly. The fact one of their own had been taken had been given with a cruel laugh, the one who told her enjoying it though he had learnt the error of such quickly, the identity of who had not been known, however. It seemed now Ishayu knew just who had been left at the mercy of those who dwelt in the desert, a shaky step bringing her closer. Desperate was her want to reach out for him, give herself at least one small comfort of touching him, confirming he was truly here and not something her mind drew forth to offer some comfort, but such was not something she was permit herself to do. Or at least not here with another present, her gaze flicking to Tena once more, wondering as to how she would react. “I am... I was not thinking right, it was too much. You really should be resting,” a tone of worry touched her voice, clearly the news of his raise to Helion having not reached the serval. The serval was no stranger to nicknames though she preferred not to partake herself, very few breaking through her habit of using full names or titles when applicable, but she found the words easy, spoken with a gentle smile. “Indeed, I could not leave you all alone Pers, someone needs to keep an eye on you,” a gentle hint of fondness touched her voice and she found it easier to lean in, moving to gently rub her cheek against the Hearthkeeper's head. She had made no previous attempts to hide the fact she rather liked Persephone, though she seemed less a child, given a maturity in moments speaking of an age not shown in body, it did little to negate the fact Ishayu cared for her. Though she might never deem her a daughter the want lingered in the back of her throat, a word unfamiliar to her but wanted, heart aching softly when she had crossed her path. “Leading? Did something happen to Quantum?” The words were almost snapped, worry which each as she used to speak once more, frantic gaze touching upon Gordon. The way she spoke felt as though nothing were entirely wrong, it might simply not have been a task the tigress found herself suited for and thus deemed it better to pass the responsibilities on, yet within such a state Monroe needed no such work put upon him. “I had not heard...” Re: i'll leave a light on ✨ return - rhosmari - 09-11-2018 MONROE MALE — SUNHAVEN — HELION — HARD "Naw, it's alright, I'm fine really." Sure, he had been through hell and back and even more so he as leading a clan but he was making a comeback. Or so he would like to think. He was working his heart out now and he had no real time to rest. Work needed to be done while the sun was still up in the sky and he could rest at night. Or just stay up and watch the moon as it moved over the waters. Either way he was sure he was going to be alright with resting when he found the time to. He hadn't even thought to say anything about his leadership to Mama and when Gordon mentioned it he looked a little sheepish about it. That was until he heard the worry come from Mama's voice when she spoke of Quantum. "Quantum's fine. She just...felt the need tae step down and pass things over tae me. I'm....trying my best and things are going okay, I like tae think." He allowed his eyes to slide away from Ishayu then as he took in a small breath. There was a measure of self doubt in his voice, something he was always trying to hide. But he didn't want anyone to start doubting and asking questions like he did. Nope, instead he shook away the thoughts and turned back to look at Mama, eager for her to get settled back in. "But yep, right as rain I'm leader now and things ain't really changed. Ya house is exactly how ya left it too." The shark cat turned a bit, wincing a little when his wounds tugged before he angled and pointed with his fine toward the village. There was so many who would be happy to see her and they had a lot of new members as well. Som ewho would hopefully enjoy her services when she got back to it. Licking his muzzle a little he turned back to look at Mama before tilting his head a bit. "Maybe once ya get settled back in ya can tell me where ya went to." Re: i'll leave a light on ✨ return - PIERCE - 09-15-2018 [div style="margin-top: 30px; text-align: center; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 35px; color: white;"]pierce parker ☀ — 'cause i love you's not enough, i'm lost for words space Ishayu had been a rather commendable member of Sunhaven for quite some time, though she had kind of dropped off the face of the earth a short while ago. Pierce could understand that- personal life was a bitch sometimes, and he'd definitely been through a lot of shit, some shit so terrible that he may have completely vanished had his job and responsibilities been one of his only outlets that distracted him entirely from the problem at hand. He could cover it all up with false smiles and sweet tones and fool everyone around him that everything was okay when he forced himself out there to talk to clanmates and newcomers. And, sometimes, the lie was so good, he almost had even himself convinced. Pierce arrived shortly after Gordon, a bit late to the whole thing but with a bright smile upon his maw nonetheless. "Hey, Ayu," he greeted, tone laced in warmth. "It's so nice to see you again! Welcome back." She would recognize him, wouldn't she? He hadn't been exceedingly active around the clan, but he was around enough, at least at the time, for her to know who he was- at least, he hoped. "speech" space

The words had swirled about her mind for some time now, lingering across shattered edges but it had been tempered, smeared with crimson she had so want to see shed. It is almost funny, he had been gone for a time beyond what she cared to mark – lie, she hide a calendar and marked each day as though it were necessary to keep breathing – and still he shadowed her life, memories curling about each thought. Paw rose, moving to gently touch along the curve of Monroe's jaw, brushing it gently before it pulled back. “I will never stop worrying, you were the first person I considered a friend, I do not wish to see you come to harm.” Unease touched the faint curl of her lips, brown furrowed over maroon left darkened, flicking away as the Helion continued to speak. “I would be happy to,” forced are they, though she made an attempt to lighten her tone, allow some flicker of joy within yet how to speak of her searching. What words were there to frame the want to find the man who had a hand in giving her life only to crush it, seeing his own daughter as nothing more than a broken plaything tossed aside once she proved useless. “Pierce,” automatic in her response, name drawn across her tongue in an easy breath. Indeed she remembered the other, if not well, and thought rather well of what little she had seen, proving himself a good person. "Thank you." |
