GLITTER AND GOLD // "joiner" - hana. - 09-08-2018 [align=center][div style="borderwidth=0px; width: 55%; text-align: justify;"]넌 불 보듯이 뻔해 ♡ - Ah, now this was quite different from anything Nanohana had experienced before. Blazing beaches and shimmering coastlines were a sight for sore eyes accustomed to temperate forests dotted with shallow lakes. There was so much more than oily trout and lilypads in that blanket of cerulean. Heavy wings beat steadily against a soft breeze, lazy waves passing rapidly beneath the duo as a large dragon neared the main island the Typhoon called home. She had heard rumors of this group, although they were little more than exactly that - snippets of the truth shuffled into myths. Frankly, Hana hadn't bothered with paying any of them mind when she decided she wanted to head to the Typhoon first upon parting from her old home. Rather it was the drastic change in scenery from the coastline to the isles they called home. Nanohana was not used to warm winds and high humidity, nor the heat of the sun on her back. The dragon she was perched on shared an opposite opinion, basking in the heat as they began a slow descent downward toward the beach. Thick leather wings broadened as the albino angled himself backward against the wind, thin legs stretching out to catch his weight as the dragon landed. Sand kicked up in a flurry around the giants feet, large head tilting to the side as deep ruby eyes made contact with warm copper. Hana responded to the silent communication with a pleasant hum, reaching her ivory-dipped paws forward in a lazy stretch atop her companion's back. "여보세요!" The painted girl called out in her native tongue, finally recovering from her bow. Hana could not detect anyone immediately nearby, but judging from Miso's reactions, someone would be quick to arrive. Good thing, too, as this heat was already starting to become overwhelming for the longhaired feline. She had been raised in alpines, far from a "tropical paradise." It was certainly a new experience, but the longer Nanohana sat around, the less she believed she liked it. At least the landscape itself was breathtaking, almost moreso than the smothering humidity. Dreadful. What would all this heat do to her fur? A worry for later. The dragon beneath her paws crouched into the now settled sands, belly brushing the sun-warmed dunes. This gave the oriental mixbreed a safe dismount, claws scraping against the translucent scales as she pushed herself off and onto the ground. The sands burned her pawpads at the contact, and immediately Nanohana backed herself into the shade beneath Miso's still outstretched wings. The dragon released a long sigh in response, staying against the ground and relishing in the warmth Hana was needily sheltering herself from. Surely she would adapt eventually, but Gods above that couldn't happen soon enough. Hiding from the sun did not diminish her confidence however, chocolate tail held high behind her. "나는 여기에 머물고 싶다," Hana once again recited in her birth language, head snapping to the side as Miso's blood red eyes opened and slowly dragged over to glance at her. Right. The common tongue. Nanohana couldn't hold any complex conversation, but she understood the basics well enough to get through this. "I would like to stay!" Finally, something these Typhoon goons (what were they even called? Hana would roll with that for now, for the single fact it rhymed) would understand. Her words were heavily accented, but still easily distinguishable through her Korean flavour. "My name is Nanohana, this is Miso. I would like to..." There was a pause as Nanohana considered her words. "Stay here for a brief? Moment?" That was a rather short amount of time, was it not? "I would like to rest a week here. Is that going to be okay?" / translations hDAHF pardon my google translate korean & lack of 3am proofreading 여보세요 - hello 나는 여기에 머물고 싶다 - i want to stay here Re: GLITTER AND GOLD // "joiner" - bubblegum - 09-08-2018 Re: GLITTER AND GOLD // "joiner" - the trash man - 09-09-2018 [align=center][div style=" background-color: transparent; border: 0px solid black; width: 550px; min-height: 9px; font-family: arial; line-height: 109%; text-align: left; color: black; padding: 20px;font-size: 12px;"]although it didn't quite seem it from just simple appearance alone; linux was too from these lands - belonged to it as their child. her short stubbly legs courtesy of her mother ill for climbing the mountainous terrain and even worse for fighting which were problems felt enormously. they were, however, great for mashing buttons and watching television though. albeit linux had many issues with the surrounding environment she belonged to, the ivory child wouldn't change it for the world. okay, maybe she'd install a great big tv screen and a nintendo to every hut - but that was largely besides the point. in the end, although linux didn't seem to fit in, she did, and to be a stranger to the beach the child thought that fate sounded dreadful. hana would just have to learn to co-exist with the blazing beaches and shimmering coastlines. following hot on goldie's heels, the smaller kitten's dusty pink hues grew to the size of saucers at the sight of the foreigner's companion. "wow.. so cool!" a breathy whisper escaped the ivory child's maw as she lept to her tippy toes as if it were to allow linux a better glance at the ten-foot dragon. long story short; it didn't help the munchkin-sized kitten. so entranced by her friend linux failed to even recognise the girl with it before goldie started to introduce herself to hana. "oh, uh, yeah i'm linux roux. your dragon is super cool by the way." looking up to the foreign girl, linux's pink-toned ears twitched at the mentions of hana's preferred language being similar of that to desmond. neat. the alabaster kitten thought that her cousin's mother tongue was very intricate and beautiful, it would be a sight to behold if the child were able to see the pair interact with korean flowing into a beautiful conversation. it wouldn't be something that linux could understand, but it would be amazing to witness. realising that she'd been staring to long at miso once more the child felt her insides flush as embarrassment ebbed into her veins. "want a sticker?" reaching out to one of the stickers latching on to the ivory child's thick coat, linu supposed it was her own kind of peace offering to the new girl. (welcome to the typhoon!!!! ) Re: GLITTER AND GOLD // "joiner" - Grey - 09-10-2018 It's not hard to notice a dragon in the sky, approaching the island in it's glistening scales and almighty glory. Reptilians have always held that same intimidating and noble air, a nonchalance that doesn't escape its frigid, thin-slit eyes. They've always looked mechanical to Bakugou, full of judgement as their all-seeing orbs freeze across the landscapes they processed. He's never liked the idea of becoming insignificant, never been able to begin to understand those who liked to work behind closed curtains and take no credit for their works. That was how Bakugou felt when he continued to drag the carcass of a half-burned okapi. A beautiful creature really, but it was unfortunate that it fell into a nature-born trap, unable to move that the ragdoll felt a strange wave of pity for the creature. And so, here he was, dragging the poor dead thing along the ground towards his hut with his eyes darting about, recognising the mass of a creature gliding towards the island. It's hard to remain calm when it looks as though it can rain fire at any moment but Bakugou is more than willing to fight fire with fire, muscles tensing when the creature looks it is about to land from the far away distance.
He hurries to heave the body into his hut to skin later, quickly pouring a bucket of ice (as if it would help preserve the creature for just a few more hours) and ducking out. He closes his door with an accidental slip of his paw, ears perking in anticipation of the obnoxious bang of wood against wood. As Bakugou's hut is situated close to the beach, he is slightly vexed when he sees a storm of sand result by the landing of such a massive beast. The ragdoll, seeing the particles begin to drift back to the ground, walks towards the strangers with a sliver of interest twinkling from his sanguine hues. It appears that their Dealer Goldenluxury is one step ahead of him, already moving in to greet the foreign-tongued girl. Then materialises the figure of Linux, the young kitten who always found a way to get on the top of his nerves. The male twitches an ear, saying nothing because he's convinced himself he's better than that, deciding to wait and listen to whatever this Nanohara wanted to say. He recognises the language to be similar to the one that he knew, squinting his eyes just a little before realising it was most likely Korean. Bakugou knew only Japanese and English, there was no way he'd be willing to learn that language just for one or two weirdos. "Bakugou," the ragdoll introduces himself first and foremost, curling his tail towards himself. He doesn't really care about the ferocity which radiates from the dragon. Although he admires its sheer strength and appearance, the reaver decides he'd rather focus on other business. "Does Miso -" he cuts off abruptly, feeling his ribs begin to shudder once more. A strangeness returning to his flesh as though it were about to tear itself into two. Although this pause is only for a few seconds, as if he is rethinking his words, the pain that overwhelms him feels as though it is taking forever. His eyes squint just a little. "- need any shelter in particular to stay in?" He doesn't want to assume that the winged beast was incapable of sentient thought but, just in case, he directs the question to the so-called Nanohana. He can't help but think of Lucifer's dragon form and the wisdom which seeped from his tough scales. Even then, he'd heard so many stories of wyverns and dragons who spoke not a single, translatable word, speaking some mysterious dragon-tongue. The tabby's lips begin to part again, as if he is about to add on to whatever greeting or housekeeping business he thought was necessary, but keeps himself hanging. He doesn't want to be too hospitable because he hates offering to do jobs, but he also knows that he doesn't want Goldenluxury to overwork himself and certainly doesn't want to see Linux handing out stickers as if it was the only thing The Typhoon was capable of doing. But, considering that the decorated fem had said she was planning to stay only about a week, Bakugou sees little point in settling her into a nice place to stay unless the woman specifically asked for it. He can't be bothered looking for one and, in spite of his initial good intentions, would probably end up leaving that job to the Dealer. He has little patience for being helpful for no gain.
