Repairing the docks - beach cleanup event B - Morgan - 09-04-2018

Morgan stretched his legs as he let his paws expand into the warm beach sands. He had already gathered some medium-sized logs in a pile near the destroyed docks, so he waited for everyone else to catch up before motioning toward the stack. "Thank you all for coming. As you can see, we'll be fixing up these docks today. If everything goes well enough, we'll be able to start fishing from here." He walked behind the logs and picked up what appeared to be a long straight branch with a long string attached to it. "I've made us some fishing poles using some supplies from the Junkyard. Once these repairs are finished, we can start fishing for more food."

The canine drew some water out of the nearby ocean and brought it around a log, then levitated it and set it down into an open space on the docks. "It's as simple as moving this wood into any open spots, and breaking off any broken pieces to replace them with new ones. These little logs are a lot smaller than when we originally cut them down, so any of you should be able to pick one up either by yourself or with a partner." He nodded and set the makeshift fishing pole back down, then got some more water ready.

She'd just have to be careful not to bump her injured wing into anything, but that was fine; she'd been being more careful everywhere, anyway. Offering a nod to Morgan's instruction, she moved forward to clamp her teeth around the end of a log and drag it over to the docks. It took her a minute to situate it properly, but it was eventually done. While she was there, she pushed down on some older pieces of the dock, making the unstable pieces snap and fall down into the sand and water below. With that done, she'd back up to give the others room to work from where she'd cleared out some space.

"A shame, really," complained a familiar exclamation. His leg was almost fully healed, but anything that required lifting was out of the picture. ”I could try ta help, that is, if yas wanna be guilty of my healin’ getting delayed.”
