[align=center][div style="width: 80%; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt;"]Tired.

God, was he tired.

Tired of walking, tired of smalltalk, tired of harsh winter winds pushing him around like a doll in the hands of a child. Eight sets of paws pressed relentlessly forward despite tribulations against them, the canine duo traveling alongside each other. There was comfort in the familiar presence of his brother while hiking through miles of unfamiliar terrain, a thick forest fading away around them to give way to an endless stretch of snow-covered plains. No longer was Agilities desperately searching for alone time away from his rough-and-tumble siblings: although quiet by nature, the hybrid found himself missing the constant chatter to occupy his mind. Surefour spoke for both of them, able to entertain with only occasional input from Agilities, but his outgoing older brother could not fill the void where a din once occupied. An endless ruckus. A soft sigh passed the coydog's parted maw as he drew in a deep breath of cold air, casting a hesitant glance toward Surefour wordlessly. While the expansive plains weren't any colder than any previous part of their journey, the cold seeping into his bones drained what little motivation Agilities had to speak.

Trees sparsely dotted around them soon disappeared as well, leaving the duo in an open field. The Ascendants, they were called, right? A group that worshipped the stars, or something along those lines. Agilities could understand why. Looking up at the sky, unobscured by trees or light pollution, using the moon as a source of light over the blanketed hills- a life some could only dream of. A heavy scent hit the coydog and caused his steps to hesitate, coming to a slow stop as his seafoam gaze wandered from the sky down to his paws submerged in snow. The smell was a powerful one. Where masses would collect but not cross, an invisible wall. A border. Agilities fidgeted nervously at the idea, reclining back onto his haunches to give respite to his aching pawpads. "This is it," Agilities spoke slowly, ears erect to notice the approach of others if he didnt spot them in the open plains first. Was there a protocol to this sort of thing? Were they just supposed to sit and wait to be happened upon, or call out and pull a nearby local's attention? Sharp canines chewed nervously at his lower lip, blue eyes drifting from his surrounds to rest on his half-brother instead. "... I think." He hoped. He wasn't sure he could handle another long walk, more calluses on his paws, more deafening silence.

Pat, pat, pat.

Surefour's large paws sunk into the snowdrifts with each leg movement, leaving a trail of small indentations behind him. Accompanied by him was his younger brother, Agilities, who was rather quiet and reserved for someone his age; as time breezed by, it was as if his younger coydog brother grew more and more fatigued.

Meanwhile, Surefour was as calm and uppity as his usual attitude reflects.

High hopes of entertaining his smaller half-brother clouded the mind of young Surefour as the duo padded their way through the drifts of snow. With each passing moment, he could feel the gaze of his younger sibling fixate upon him as the quietness of the taiga and the smoothness yet forcefulness of the winter wind on his pelt accompanied the two every step of the way, somehow saving them from the loneliness that being alone in the taiga would usually provide to wanderers. The glow of the moon on the white paths laid out before them guided Surefour every step of the way as he directed young Agilities to their destination.

Surefour missed the din, but he felt as if this next stage of their lives as the Ascendants would lead to even more greater things. The stars will guide their souls. Surefour caught a glance of his younger half glancing up towards the stars, curious as to what sorts of machinations whirred in the quiet coydog's mind. A snarky comment grew in Surefour's thoughts, ready to poke fun at his younger half-brother, but instead he let him gaze up into the air. It seemed fair to him to let his brother's thoughts wander as the starlight met the snow-white floors ahead of them.

A wall of stench met the nose of the young husky. He felt his leg muscles tense up, being an indicator of where exactly he and his brother have arrived. This was indeed the border that they have been traveling to for what seemed like years.

Surefour sat and licked his sore, freezing paws for a moment, taking a well-needed break from crossing the relentless taiga. Meanwhile, his younger brother seemed hesitant to actuate, unsure of himself of what to do upon arriving. He threw a blue-eyed glance at his half-brother.

"Yeah, this is it, alright."

Surefour stood and stretched for a moment, eager to continue their journey, unlike his brother. "Well, c'mon, let's go find 'em. We can't just be waiting around here like lumps on a log."

The rest of the recent joiners had come to the Clan by themselves, so it was certainly nice to see two joining at once. Luna had hoped she´d find her brother one day but it seemed impossible.

As usual, the female was on patrol, in case there was any newcomers. And she was correct. The two seemed like family perhaps brothers. ¨You´re in Ascendants´ territory. Are you here to join or visit?" Luna asked, before adding. ¨Lunafreya.¨

Re: snowdrift // double joining - Roy Mustang - 04-06-2018

Agilities and Surefour were lucky that they have each other. Roy Mustang might not admit it, considering he doesn't want his new groupmates to see how he's feeling, but he wished he wasn't here alone. Sure, he has his new groupmates- but there is just one problem. All he knows is putting their names to a face, he doesn't know any of them personally, hasn't had trust building with them like his last teammates back in Central. Hawkeye, Falman, Breda, Havoc- just to name a few. Hell, he'd even add Fullmetal and Alphonse to the list that gained his trust(even if Fullmetal hasn't been a huge fan of him). He can't see himself sitting down, having a real conversation with anyone, at least not a genuine one for a long time. It's going to take the Ascendants more and more convincing if they want Roy to trust them and the decisions they make everyday.

Speaking of trust, one reason why he doesn't hold much trust for his groupmates is how strangers at the border are treated. Mustang doesn't understand, from his experience of being lost, they treated him like he was no big deal and was suppose to be their buddy. They introduced themselves without a thought he could have been an enemy or danger to their home. Roy cannot, and will not, see himself approach a stranger at the border with such hospitality. The tiger had been padding through the territory, his mind running wild on thoughts, when he managed to come across his clanmate Lunafreya(Lunafreya right? He didn't mix her up for someone else, correct?) and two strangers. His ears pinned back at the greeting given by Lunafreya, one that he expected. She introduced herself and questioned whether they were here to join or visit. Surely people can have more intentions than just that, the mutated sumatran tiger thought as he shook his head a bit. "Now now, wait just a minute here." Mustang decided to speak up, a smirk wide across his features, an over-confident yet suspicious look. "Who exactly are you looking for? Surely you can give us names, correct?"

"You said let's go find them, I can only assume you're looking for someone specifically." Was a comment and question directed to Surefour, his tail slowly swishing behind him as his gaze locked on the canine duo. Roy had no plans to be happy and friendly, he wasn't about to introduce himself on the spot like others would. Instead, he wants some questions answered, and he wants answers now.

It had been quite a while since he had seen any other members of his particular breed- so long, in fact, the last time Vinny had seen another husky, it had been his own damn family members. Of course, could he even call them family? He wasn't sure why he even used that term for them anymore. It wasn't like they had ever given two shits about him in the first place- aside from Leo. He was the only one who had ever cared about the male, but he was gone now, just like everyone else he had ever been close with. Mike was another prime example of that. He had been waiting for the black lab to show up for almost a month now, as they had been travelling together, but at this point, the kangaroo was afraid he wasn't coming. Trying to put his troubles aside, Mementomori had been out roaming the territory, as he often did when he needed to take his mind off things. It was then that he came across the small group gathering at the border, knowing that it could only be a joiner. Making his way over, the massive marsupial would come to a stop near Lunafreya, green eyes flickering to the forms of the two brothers. Not feeling the need to speak, since the others had asked the usual questions, he remained silent, waiting for the canines to answer.

Re: snowdrift // double joining - Starrynight ! - 04-08-2018

//OOC

Oh, wow! Two joiners at the same time? Were they siblings? Best friends? Lovers? It was an interesting thought that was peaking his curiosity as he trotted over to the crowd. "Oh, hello! My name is Starrynight. These are my friends. This is the Ascendants territory!" Wait, someone probably already told them that. "Do you two know each other? Family? Friends? Are you both joining?" That ever-present excitement was creeping into his voice as he spoke, small sparks of electricity dancing between the glowing auras around his paws as he bounced. Starrynight's eyes were bright and friendly as he gazed at the two.
