He didn't really like the constant cold on his feet, even though his fur was thick and able to deal with it, it had been cold for a while. It could have been due to the fact that he was constantly crawling through the snow instead of simply walking on top of it, but he was cold, and the puppy wasn't very much of a fan. There were other things on his mind though. He didn't know where he was, so questions surrounding that flashed through his head, as well as other things such as him not quite knowing where his parents were - or really who they were, for that matter - and Boston hoped that they were here in the place where it was cold and where there smelled many others. He was only four months old - quite young and not able to remember much from before - and he didn't know about borders, but he knew about scents, and knew that a lot of scents together usually meant friendlies, or, at least, he could assume and hope. Jumping up through the blanket of snow, the brown and white speckled akita pup would land down in the snow once more, fur covered in the fluffy stuff that fell from the sky, and he would look around for a moment before once more crawling, not really caring if someone came by and saw him or not. Re: it's only this moment ;; open - joining - NUI HARIME - 08-29-2018 A young pup dancing amongst the snow was quite a sight to see. She had approached him, a cozy scarf and coat wrapped around her lithe frame. One nonexistant brow quirked upwards; facial muscles shifting in inquiry. "You," She called. "Why are ya here, kid? You lost?" Nui's eyes scoured his playing form. "It's dangerous to be here, you know. And I'm not just talking about snow." A faint allude to the pounds of ungraceful meat trampling all over this place. Pittians, they called themselves. No greater than flies, within her eye, yet they paraded themselves as antagonists nonetheless. Nui scoffed at the thought. The gelid jaws of Snowbound snapped uncomfortably into her soft, pink paw pads. She, as well should have gotten used to it, but she could never truly numb her senses to the frost. The brutal claw of agony was the only thing she had been able to escape. General sensation and the feeling of touch? Not much so. But Snowbound was perfect for her. Because it's frost was the closest thing to feeling true discomfort, and she was caught somewhere between satisfaction and wonder because of that. Snowbound's climate was perfect for her. "I don't feel lost." He would speak out, tail wagging happily at the sight of another creature, someone to talk to and someone to potentially become friends with even. "I don't even know what it means." He would happily respond as well. Ignorance, truly, was bliss. "What's snow, and why dangerous?" He would ask at the second thing that came from the other's maws, tail now still with slight discomfort. Not only from the fact that he was no longer moving, letting the cold creep into his skin and bones, but at the word - dangerous. He sort of picked it up on his journey here, but never truly understood the meaning of it, he just knew that it was bad, and the word sounded scary. Re: it's only this moment ;; open - joining - NUI HARIME - 08-29-2018 ignorance is bliss, but it is also painfully dangerous. she was not sure what to think of it. of all of it-- a pup who knew not what snow was, despite being surrounded by it's very nature. Simple. Inquisitive and curious. All the typical things a child should be, yet it did not make him appeal all that much more to her. snow is what you were playing in, lad," she gestures to the landscape with a folded parasol. "And lost is when you don't know where to go." a slow, patient explanation accompanies her tone. "say, dangerous as in bad. not good," she intones. if he hasn't, nui wouldn't be surprised either. he is young-- less likely to have seen rainy days with his inexperience. // sorry for the trash post IS DRY BEFORE MY BODY Re: it's only this moment ;; open - joining - Dimitri - 08-30-2018

"She’s right kid. It’d be best if you turned around and left.” Dagon said, approaching, unusually sober. // sorry for short poat

Re: it's only this moment ;; open - joining - tikki - 08-30-2018 [div style=" width: 425px; font-family calibri; font-size: 12px; color: darkgrey; text-align: justify; padding: 7px; line-height: 130%"]Boston listened to the words of the others, confused for a moment as to why they were both, in the long run, telling him to leave. Though the newer one to arrive hadn't asked any questions, simply told him it'd be best to turn around and go, he was sure that he would be nice enough if he got to know them. Remembering the words that he just learned, he would shake his head, sitting down. "Nowhere else to go, don't know where to go - lost." He would speak, looking at Nui as soon as he had said it, hoping for some sort of confirmation as to whether or not he used the word correctly. "I wanna stay." He could tough it out, he usually did anyway. Re: it's only this moment ;; open - joining - NUI HARIME - 08-31-2018
NUI HARIME
FEMALE SNOWBOUND POLARHEART! 狡猾 / THE SLY TITLES: SNOWFLAKE, EVERGREEN
lost. it was something hard to conceive; the idea of being so clueless, so helpless, wandering within this world with no place to go. she could not comprehend such a feeling.
nui had never known the feeling of being graced with such turmoils. she had been born into this world knowing exactly where her place was. even before her body had matured, fate (mother) had decided what her work would be so. she knew where she went, where she wanted to go. from her youngest days she had been an assertive child-- knowledgable of where she wanted to go and how many steps she wanted to take to get there. as it was, she could not comprehend boston's situation, as unbothered with his circumstance he appeared to be. truly oblivious. would he survive here? a place riddled with invaders-- weak and foolish as they were. she stared at the youth critically-- though she had allowed her natural mask to slip upon her face, fitting into the well molded mask of the idle snowbounder. she pitied the canine, really. not in the sympathetic, compassionate way creatures pitied others. but in the way the lion watched the mouse, wondering when the time would come for it to be swallowed up. her empathy for the ants of this world was so fleeting. poor little pup. so eager to walk into the lion's den. self proclaimed beast of the jungle, or paper tiger? armed with teeth and claws, but using it an entirely shameful way and parading themselves around as more than they truly were. "if you have nowhere to go, then i guess we can't refuse you," she allows her most charming of smiles to slip upon a tapered maw, incisors matching the powdery, fresh snow around her. bared teeth. so innocent, and yet so plainfully sinister. teeth made to kill. teeth that have killed. teeth that will lie and swindle and smile with a bright flashing glare and half concealed lies. "come along then, but be careful. i must warn you that some of our inhabitants are a lot less than friendly. they may attack you. be sure to stick by me. oh and..." she blinks a single eye kindly, pondering for a moment. she had already begun starting away, before she tilted a curious head towards the pup. "you never told me your name, did you?" Even though his staying was simply a "no other option" type of thing. Following after Nui, he would listen to her words once more, nodding his head as she spoke of sticking closer to her, and how there were some that would try to attack him. He put it in his head to try and remember to ask why that was the case later, and why there were some that were less friendly than those at the border, but at the moment he'd simply stay quiet, listening to her words, only finally speaking when she mentioned his name. "Bostontea!" He would exclaim, tail wagging once more as soon as he had done so, fluffy fur sticking out in pride as he had remembered his own name. "But I usually am just called Boston." Like, sure, it was awful and violent or whatever, but it was the same shit over and over. Tortures, murder, general neglect... They just seemed like stereotypical villains, not like anyone they should truly fear. It was fucked up, but not something they'd never seen before. Thus, she was surprised to see her tribemates trying to turn away a potential joiner. Cosette was a little alarmed, considering that Snowbound could use all the joiners they could get. New people was almost never a bad thing. And this was another opportunity for her to look better than everyone else. "Newbies are always welcome," the sphynx chimed smoothly, slipping over to greet the cute akita "Nice to meet you, Boston, I'm Cosette." /ic opinions fjjhdj sorry cosette is a binch |
