HEAVE A PAWL, O HEAVE AWAY || joining + dying/injury - Sympathy - 04-05-2018 bitch with a bite MARGAUX ROUX — FEMALE — TYPHOON — BETTA — EASY Margaux Roux was a women of many tastes; dashing men, handsome women, fine jewels and treasures; a natural born gal of the seas, she was- and remains. Everything before her current arrival on the outskirts of Typhoon is unimportant. The past is boring, she thinks, being the sort to rather move on and live in the present. Like now. The sleek rosetted Bengal had traveled quite a ways away to get where she was, perched on the rusted train tracks leading to a wreck of sorts. Humans were weird, crashing their stuff into something that wasn't another person's ship- or train- whatever. Regardless, she thought it a waste of a good invention, on top of other things regarding trains and their limitations. After a bit of sight-seeing, Margo moved on to stand at the foot of a large gate, one side lined with bells. Nearby sat a basket and a crudely made arrow and sign. Jewlery-clad earfins fluttering with excitement, she strode forward and peeked in, gaping at the mass of wiggling snakes and letting out a whistle. "Get a load 'o you buoys and gills. Water you lot guardin' anywho?" she hummed, peeking towards the inside of the gate with a smirk. It had to be good if these guys had a little army of snakes at the welcoming boat. Maybe they had a rare stash of rum? Or mountains of gold and glitters? Her fuchsia tinted glowing eyes flicked towards the bells. Biting her lip, she moved away from the mambas and to the bells. She reached out a jeweled paw and flicked it at one of them, letting a loud ringing echo through the otherwise quiet sea scented air. With a giggle, she flicked her paw again, and another loud ring-a-ling echoed through. With a crooked sharky grin, she set to work, ringing the bells as quick and as fast as her paws could manage. Margaux had ignored the growing hiss of warning from the basket in favor of her new activity. Only when she felt fangs pierce her flank bit she stop, taking a quick swipe at the mamba who backed off and slithered back into the basket. Instantly, she felt a headache blossom, her skin prickling with pins and needles. Yet another spectacular move by Ms. Fuck-Up. "Aw shit i'm gonna be fishfood..." she groaned, digging her claws into the dirt, earfins turned back and lying against her skull. What a way to kick off her joining. I rolled a 2. oops?// Re: HEAVE A PAWL, O HEAVE AWAY || joining + dying/injury - ghostpact - 04-05-2018 REBEL JUST FOR KICKS

Jör wrapped himself around a tree branch, head hanging low as he'd lazily been watching the world from where he'd slithered up. When the... whatever she was, cat-fish-thing, had approached, he lifted his head only slightly and his tongue flicked out. He hadn't experienced anyone else's joining aside from his own, so he wasn't too sure if he would know what to say. He wasn't in a hurry to stop her from ringing the bells because his own hearing wasn't too great and it didn't bug him like it might bug someone else. He still sat by to watch when the black mamba slipped from the basket and he wondered if she would notice the thing coming for her flank. Too caught up in his own excitment so see how it played out, he didn't think about the consequence until after the fact. Unwinding from the branch, he plopped to the ground and slithered through the bushes to the gate. Awfully calm for the situation, he said, "Hey lady, you really shouldn't have annoyed them. I think they might be deadly." Good job. Though, he assumed she hadn't known that. Why else would she just let it happen? He lifted his head from the ground, inching closer to her. "I should get someone. I don't know anything about this kind of thing." With that, he quickly slithered off to find anyone that was possibly just a little more helpful than him. Re: HEAVE A PAWL, O HEAVE AWAY || joining + dying/injury - Verdigris - 04-06-2018 The persistent ringing of the bell had disturbed the jackal from his meditation (well, perhaps "nap" was the more accurate term, but he'd never say so aloud), drawing him groggily out from under the trees and towards the beach. While the ringing was nowhere near as bad as Georgie's yelling had been, it was still rather obnoxious to hear it over and over and over again. As he arrived on the scene and realized that the person ringing the bell was someone he had never seen before, he stifled a groan- why did everyone seem to enjoy wandering onto the territory and doing whatever they pleased? Papercutter opened his mouth to call out to the strange creature, but was interrupted by the hissing of a mamba. Before he could say anything, the snake had struck, sinking its fangs into the other creature's paw. With a growl, he hurried over to the newcomer's side, fixing his eyes on the wound. Jor was going to fetch someone, so that left him to... well, administer first aid as much as he could. At least he had seen snake poison being treated before. With an exasperated sigh, he muttered to himself, "It should be yarrow... don't know where that is, though." Looking back up at the fish-esque creature, the jackal ordered, "Stay here, and stay calm. The slower your bloodflow, the slower the poison will spread. I'm gonna go look for something to draw the venom out until help arrives." With that, the canine turned and hurried into the forest, eyes steadily sweeping the area for the herbs in question. /ish ending Re: HEAVE A PAWL, O HEAVE AWAY || joining + dying/injury - Sympathy - 04-08-2018 bitch with a bite MARGAUX ROUX — FEMALE — TYPHOON — BETTA — EASY She backed up a bit at jörmungandr's arrival, thinking for a moment he was thinking of taking a bite out of her as well. "Back away slick or I'll- oh uh- thanks." she sputtered. Finally a nice snake. Margaux nodded to his words and watched as he went off to get help. For a few moments she sat there, growing increasingly stressed. Shit- she was going to die here wasn't she? Her fins drooped as she pouted and shivered. Then Paper approached and provided help. She was hesitant but let him go about his business. She knew jack all about medicine, so she hadn't much choice. "Not helpfin'..." she muttered. Stay calm while poison pumped through her veins and slowly killed her. Yeah, she was totally calm. |
