He had travelled for a long time and lived in many an environment that he was forced to adapt to and live in. The gloomy forest the Rosebloods currently resided in wasn’t at all new for him; livable and safe. He did not fear the beasts that lived in the darkest shadows of the territory, then again he didn’t fear much at all.Weather had a large part to play in the livableness of a habitat. He had endured snowstorms that froze his whiskers solid, heat that nearly drove him delirious, and rainstorms that forced him to take shelter before the chill wind and harsh downpour overtook his body temperature. He had endured all of it the best he could, and clearly had survived it. He had grown so he could tolerate harsh changes in climate easily enough as well as perform needed tasks and chores no matter the environment. Time to pass that down a little bit. Thunder roared in the dark sky above him, the leaves of the trees rattling with the harsh rainfall that broke through the canopy and dowsed the earth below in water. Glimpses of lightning could be seen through the cover the trees provided, lighting up the sky with a harsh crack of energy that brought destruction to whatever it touched. Not to mention it was the middle of the night during all of this; the noise robbed one of sleep and the chill winds and water could make being outside rather perilous. Sephiroth was up for it though. The lion would march through the stormy woods with great steps and a gaze narrowed into luminescent slits that almost glowed in the night. The harsh rain had flattened his silver mane against his body, framing his pale head. His muscles were hard, visible underneath his pelt as he pushed on through the harsh weather. Powerful. Hardy. Possibly crazy. Sephiroth wasn’t too far from the mansion, but he would need to awaken his fellow Rosebloods had the thunder outside not already done the job. The powerful wildcat would turn around towards the direction of home, a flash of lightning giving a sheen to his silvery pale and mane. With great force he would part his jaws in the trademark roar of his species, one that could certainly be heard by those still asleep inside the base camp. He didn’t care if it was the middle of the night, that was the point. To make sure his group was prepared for battle in the harshest of circumstances. The enemy waited for nobody. ”Rosebloods.” The deep baritone of his voice rose above the crashing sounds of the storm, full of authority and strong sounding. ”Battle does not wait for anybody, it does not care about time or weather. You must be prepared to fight no matter what the condition is.” His form was hunched slightly as he stood, the rain pressing down on his pale body but he himself not giving in. ”Thus, I am hosting a mass spar. If you come I assume you’re going to fight, no spectating here I demand participation from all who arrive. You pick your own partner. No powers, no weapons, just your pure physical strength. Fight hard, but not fatally, and I will personally remove those not following the rules by force if I must. I will be open to fight whomever out of you.” He provided no further explanation because none was needed. It was a mass spar in the middle of a harsh night storm, it was self-explanatory. Re: leave behind your heart and cast away / weekly task + mass spar in a storm - HORIZON CIPHER. - 08-25-2018 HORIZON CIPHER fuck the doomed you're on your own !
Horizon considered himself to be tough and all-mighty, but unfortunately the devil wasn't as big-and-bad as he believed he would be. Especially considering the type of animal that he was; sure, Tasmanian Devils were known for having a strong bite - and that definitely was going to be enhanced with him having venomous fangs - Horizon just wasn't very... battle-oriented. The devil had never been in battle in his life and only thought he was just some big guy due to believing in Belial and because he was the son of a demon. The weather didn't really bother Horizon, although the red-eyed creature was a bit wary of the storm. Was Belial upset he hadn't done a sacrifice upon joining The Rosebloods? Surely the Lord did not expect him to do one so quickly, especially considering Prestige announced them changing their religion to believe in the Egyptian Gods - a primitive religion, in the devil's eyes. But in the midst of the storm, Horizon heard Sephiroth's voice and made his way over as quickly as he could, his ears pricked as he followed the other male's voice. No spectating, huh? That was fair. Understandable, even. "If nobody shows up," Horizon spoke towards Sephiroth, looking up at the much larger male. "I'll spar against you." A mistake, perhaps, considering their strength but hey... maybe being smaller than a lion would be a good thing. But because of the former, the red tabby supposed she'd have to put her pride aside for now. She dashed from her hiding place from the storm and skidded to an ungraceful halt beside of Horizon, looking nervously between the duo. If this was a spar, which it was, and Lydia was hyper-aware of her size, which she definitely was, she really did not want to go up against Sephiroth. She liked the dude, but he could probably turn her inside out with a singular claw. Especially if she didn't have the aid of powers, she was pretty sure that a feline-lion pair for a fight was wholly unfair. Specifically a dumb-Lydia-smart-Sephiroth pairing. So with that being said, she turned quickly to Horizon and stated quickly "I'll spar with you." It was a time when she was most active, when the world was moving and shifting silently around her. A lot of creatures didn't understand the life that happened at night. There was so much that was going on and she breathed it in with a warm welcome. Her orange red eyes were locked on the window, looking at the storm clouds that ravaged the sky in a thunderous show of nature and the strength she possessed. She knew of that strength well and her gaze watched as a bolt of lightning lit up the world for just a mere flash and then the thunder that followed after. But a sound also echoed from below, a strange sound and one that she recognized after a moment. It was the roar of a rogue mate and she turned her head to the side before rising to her paws and exiting the room she had started to make an actual home for her and Kunta. Slipping out of the place she walked down the stairs and left the mansion with ease, gaze shifting over the landscapes. The brutal wind tugged and pulled at her fur and she looked just as calm as she ever did. Even with the rain that drenched her long hair coat and stuck the fur to her body she seemed rather unnerved by the storm itself. And instead she focused on Sephiroth that had called them out into the storm. This was his plan to have a sparring match during a storm and she figured it to be a smart move on his part. Often the elements did not stop for a battle and if some group was moderately smart they would use the storm as cover. So the woman was a bit eager to try her skill during a storm such as this, reinforced claws scratching against the ground before she glanced at Horizon and then to Lydia who was also here. "I don't care who my opponent will be. Anyone will do." After all she was experienced in combat and knew what she was capable of and what she was not. With and without her powers. "It'd be good practice" especially getting used to his new form - he'd had some practice but with an actual opponent yet? no and well he'd fought in worse conditions - from an exploding frigate to the frigid temperatures and blizzards of Hoth. TAGS - INDORAPTOR (9FT) - SITH LORD - ROSEBLOODS / MEMBERhe glanced at the group and spread his claws "If anyone wishes to match up with me?" it might do the small ones some good to practice against larger targets and well an evener size was an evener field either way. Kunta wasn't in his room, he was always out and about, he was still getting used to the territory itself. He often found himself laying in a few tree branches though not tonight especially with a lightning splitting the silence that once held the night, his ears twitched at the sound of a distant roar. A lion's call. Sephiroth. The weight of his heavy paws would sink slightly into the mud that was forming underneath the jaguar though it didn't take him that long to locate his clanmates at the front of the mansion, he just in time to hear that there was going to be a mass sparring session. Horizon and Lydia had already partnered up yet there was still Alektto, Blueridge, and Sephiroth. He knew what his girlfriend was capable of and what strength her small form held, his whiskers twitched at the remembrance of being smacked on the head yet his thoughts didn't dwell on it for long. He would stand beside Blueridge only to snort a bit in amusement wondering who'd want to be partnered up with Alektto, he was so used to being the bigger opponent so he sought out a challenge for himself. "I will spar with you," His monotonous voice would be heard as he directed this to the dinosaur, he had to prepare for the day his father ever dared to show his face around these parts. He didn't want to think about even losing to that excuse of a parental figure.
