HEY MISTER LONELINESS — art guild meeting - JA´SUNNA - 08-22-2018

The Art Café is closed for the night. The signage at the door has been flipped to ‘Closed’ with another card slid underneath it: Impressionist Meeting, Café Opens @ 1AM. Ja’sunna isn’t all too keen having to close down a good shop for it, but she knows its necessary considering that the Café is Impressionist territory. Jericho has given her a responsibility, after all - to take care of the Impressionist Guild while she’s the temporary Head, and she would loathe to have to disappoint the Helion. Still, the burden of responsibility weighs heavily on her shoulders, and she’s none too keen on keeping the title to herself. After all, she’s never really liked the concept of ‘having’ to do something.

The tigress has set up tiered silver platters on the table laden with finger food, both savory and sweet. She’s brought her own cooler and shoved it to the far corner, although they won’t find much in it except bottled juice and an assortment of alcohol (she likes her wine nicely chilled, and keeps her best bottles in it). Ja’sunna herself is sat behind the bar with an unfathomable gleam in her vermilion eyes, tired but ready as all Hell to get the whole meeting over with; she just hopes everybody would start arriving soon so that she can finish as quickly as she can and return to her isolation.

ooc. yikes this is bad but oH WELL i’ve got a few things to cover once people start showing up

If being an artist meant giving up precious sleep to sit around in a café and discuss guild matters then he never wanted to look upon his camera or his paints and canvases ever again.  Of course, that was an exaggeration made by the obviously melodramatic boy, a groan threatening to spill from silver lips as he took a seat before Ja'sunna. He loved art, the act of creating something, anything, one of the few hobbies able to provide him solace and comfort in an otherwise terrifyingly unknown world. This was just another sacrifice for his craft, he told himself, even if that sacrifice did mean that he'd get a far later start than usual tomorrow.

[color=gray]"What's going on?" The bengal feline would inquire smoothly, a metaphorical brow arching in some strange attempt to appear less sleepy. He'd be lying if he said that he didn't almost miss the meeting, having dozed off under the stars during some makeshift photoshoot set up to kill time before the inevitable gathering. He was relatively enthusiastic and energetic usually though, he doubted that he appeared any different at one in the morning. And hopefully not frustrated by the fact that he was here and not in bed. God, he missed his bed.  [color=gray]"Are the snacks free for all? I'm starving."

Pierce had been really excited when he first signed up for the Art Guild, as in his previous two clans, there had hardly been any other artists. Now, he was surrounded by other painters, drawers, sculptors- you name it, he was pretty sure he'd seen it. He had only a vague idea of what this guild... actually did, but it sounded kind of like his first job in his first clan, which had been to organize parties and events and stuff, and, of course, to make sure the clan was always well-kept. He was sure Ja'sunna would give them all a refresher, though, so he wasn't too worried.

The tall feline was seemingly next to arrive to the meeting, blinking sleep from his eyes as he stepped into the café. "Hey, guys," he greeted softly, stifling a yawn. He'd apparently fallen into a slumber while reading Clementine to sleep - he'd promised himself he was only going to close his eyes for a second, but he figured he'd estimated incorrectly -, and he was still trying to pull himself out of it. "This looks nice!" Pierce offered to Ja'sunna, a kind, albeit sleepy, smile upon freckled features as he wandered further into the cute little building. He'd been here a couple times, but it was different at night, when it was so empty. Not, like, bad different, or anything- just different.

Re: HEY MISTER LONELINESS — art guild meeting - GORDON CIPHER. - 08-24-2018

Ja'Sunna had told her to wait for the Art Guild to have a meeting, and Gordon had done just that. The little she-cat often cast glances towards the cafe as much as she possibly could and whenever she saw the sign being changed, she had a suspicion that this was the meeting that Ja'Sunna had told her about. So Gordon quickly made her way over, right after Pierce arrived. "H-hey, everyone!" She squeaked out, clearly excited to be here. Although she was normally a skiddish and nervous person, art gave her a sense of relief. A sense of security. It was an escape for her, a happy place, a safe place.

Ilijas being here, though, made her slightly uncomfortable but Gordon told herself that no matter how nervous he made her, he was a Clanmate and he was obviously a Guildmate, too, so she couldn't pretend like he wasn't there. Besides, she wasn't even so sure what got her so nervous over him. She just had to get to know him, was all.
