BUY THE STARS — joining - SANGO - 08-19-2018

It wasn't even too long of a walk, she had just been a little too used to being pampered the last year and a half. Trotting towards the end of the tracks and letting out a puff of smoke in the content of having finished the walk to the border, she finally paused to take a quick moment of rest. Flickering her snake-like tongue from between her jaws, she scanned the area with her glowing gaze as she stood, not really finding anything of particular interest. Well, that is until she caught the sight of a particularly shiny pair of bells.

Brushing past the wooden sign with the Typhoon's emblem on it, she made a beeline for the sparkly items. It wasn't that she didn't know what they were - she knew full well they made noise and similar shit - she just really wanted to crush one between her teeth. The residents of this place surely wouldn't mind, they did just make her walk a few miles across some not very soft railroad tracks just to get here, so they can surely sacrifice one of these pretty bells in exchange. It's not like she was taking both of them, she was actually being quite generous if you thought about it.

Within a few moments of arrival, she already held one of the gorgeous gold-flecked bells between her teeth. It took quite a bit of noise to rip it off the ribbon, but Sango was fairly sure it would all be worth it in the end. She held the item in her mouth for a moment, letting the searing heat of her mouth soften the metal a little bit before finally biting down. Unsurprisingly, it wasn't as tasty or made a crunch as satisfying as she expected, but oh well.

Spitting out the remaining smoldering bits of the bell, the lion-sized hound leaned back onto her haunches to wait for someone to arrive so she could perhaps find a different way to entertain herself rather than destroying the group's property.

Re: BUY THE STARS — joining - Character Graveyard. - 08-19-2018

When Kirishima had joined the Typhoon, he had half-excepted himself to change his mind and return to Snowbound. But now- he was happy here. If he was offered to return to his previous home, he'd probably refuse even if he kind of missed his friends that lived there. He wasn't lonely like he thought he'd be.

Kirishima had been making his way in the direction of the gate, just to check up on things and to see if there happened to be anyone waiting. He would quickly notice the remains of one of the bells before he would stare at Sango. Did she eat the bell? A brow raised, the young male would speak. "Er- name and business, please. Also- did you just eat that bell?"

Re: BUY THE STARS — joining - MARCELLUS - 08-20-2018

HEARTFELT PROMISES { .:*・°☆ } ——— [size=10pt]TAGS
When Marcel first joined he saw the bells and rang them though he didn't eat them. Why eat them and who would? Well it seemed as if that question would be answered. The king cheetah had been on his daily jog, his sickness slowly going away so he could move more and faster as it began to clear up. His paws pounded against the ground with each step he took, eyes narrowed ahead of him so he wouldn't crash into anything he didn't want to end up crashing into and hurt himself. He picked up the pace and went as fast as he could manage with his limp, trying to go quicker but nearly tripping over himself and his paws, stopping in his tracks to make it so he didn't. The king cheetah let out a series of huffs, panting to get back his breath as he sat down and took a small break from his run, allowing the wind to flow through his short fur and cool him off a little. In the distance he could hear a small ringing of their bell before it stopped ringing completely and usually the bell meant a visitor or a joiner but he was in for a treat with this one.

The male got to his paws and began to steadily walk towards the gate, his body aching from his run and his paws aching a bit as well. He looked around the corner to see a hellhound, the size of a lion maybe and definitely way taller than he was. For a moment he flinched and then turned to look at the bells to see one was missing. Did she just eat a bell? His attention turned to Kirishima as he approached the large hellhound, Marcellus following after and settling down beside the domestic feline. "Hello. Erm, they're metal not treats. If they were I probably would of ate them by now." Humor to mask his little bit of how intimidated he was by Sango's size. Besides that, if the bells had ended up being made out of some kind of pastry he definitely would of ate them by now, enjoying a love for sweets and anything that had sugar, especially candy like lollipops or jolly ranchers. "Marcellus." He greeted to the blue canid to show some hospitality, unless she proved to be an enemy that was.

Re: BUY THE STARS — joining - Luca - 08-20-2018

Luca hadn't even noticed the bells on his first journey to the Typhoon, too focused on the actual members than the environment around him. He had become aware of them eventually though, when joiners started ringing them without any thought towards the nocturnal creatures that might be trying to sleep. He had grown to strongly dislike those bells, and tried his best to ignore how loud they were when they started ringing. There was no loud ringing this time, however, as he noticed a bunch of his clanmates gathering around the tracks. Luca followed Marcellus in particular, still drawn towards the cheetah despite him wanting nothing to do with the lustful hellhound. He was only joining the crowd out of curiosity, or maybe obligation, but that all changed once he looked up to spot who was actually waiting there. The fact that Sango had eaten the bell didn't seem to bother Luca as much as the hellhound herself, and his eyes widened with a mix of suprise and wonderment. "Ma!" He cried, running up in an attempt to nuzzle the larger hound. Of all the mothers Luca had been raised by over his many lives, Sango was no doubt his favourite. He hadn't been expecting to see her ever again, much less in a place like this. "Its been so long," Luca whined, tears pooling along his lower lashes. The happy sort of pain that came with reunion was only intensified by the fact that he'd resigned himself to never meeting again, overwhelming him with emotion. He began to cry, as he often did in this sort of situation, sinking to his belly on the tracks and sobbing pathetically.

Re: BUY THE STARS — joining - ADAKIAS - 08-20-2018

[align=center][div style="width: 450px; text-align: justify; margin-top: -8px; padding-right: 8px; font-family: verdana;"][size=8pt]The railrood that led towards the island inhabited by the Typhoon was a landmark that she could often be found hanging around the entrance of. Afterall, it typically was the only mode of travel that strangers took to come before the group. And she liked strangers — especially their strange factor. Examining them and seeing how they interacted with themselves as well as socially was quite fascinating to the adolescent minnow. It would appear that studying the psychological aspect of others was becoming a prominent thing within the curious kit’s interests.

The Bengal had been laying atop a branch within the nearest tree, her ebony pelt glistening as the sun displayed a glimmer across the feline. Olive hues would take note of the lion sized canine that arrived at the border, her ears perking as she watched the foreign female interact with her surroundings. Sylvina had seen few crazy things during her mere five months of life, yet this truly was the topping to the cake so far. A hellhound engulfing the very bell that summoned crewmates ... She didn’t see that everyday. Perhaps she ought to intervene.

The lanky feline would climb down from her perch to trot up besides Marcellus and Kirishima, her stoic gaze remaining locked upon Sango’s looming form. ”The hell was that for?” She was still in the process of developing her foul absenities, yet glancing at the various peices remaining from the bell on the floor triggered the response.

As soon as the words escaped from her lips she’d swivel around to watch as Luca bounded forward to greet the hellhound — she was his mother? — only to fall to the ground weeping. A flash of perplexed confusion could be seen flashed across Sylvina’s face as she awaited Sango’s response.

"It was jet-black. A shade of black so deep, your eye just kind of slides off it.
And it shimmered when you looked at it"
shadowing the group, the freshly promoted dragon felt his brows rise some in surprise - his erstwhile adoptive little brother had another mother? or another adopted mom? hm, Luca might have a stranger family tree than even he with his adoptive family.

the dragon snorted at the thought, content with hanging back for now and watching the group natter in confusion - understandable, she'd eaten a metal bell, but then Lucifer had eaten a sun once so he couldn't point fingers there - and merely observe with a quietly amused air.

She tilted her head down slightly to get a good look at him, running her tongue across her fangs absent mindedly. He seemed to be rather young, well, younger than her at least.

"Er- name and business, please."

Oh, now that was a phrase that took her back. The ghost of a smile flickered across her face for an instant as she took a moment to recall vague and hazy memories of an older time. However, after a second or two she gave her head a little shake as if to dispel the thoughts, instead focusing on the task at hand. "Sango. My name is Sango." She rumbled, fixing her gaze on the feline. "I'm here to join." After that was said she paused for a moment as he spoke about the bell, "Hmm, yeah." She confirmed, deciding against giving a reason and instead just allowing him to draw his own conclusions.

Her bat-like ears would perk up as yet another member of the group made his way onto the scene. This one a cheetah, settling down beside the feline already before her. She tilted her head at him, narrowing her eyes as he spoke. "I know what it is." She snorted, a puff of smoke escaping her nostrils. "I just like crushing it." She offered in explanation, quieting down as he then spoke his name. Marcellus, huh? That was one she hadn't yet heard before. She opened her mouth to speak again but was distracted as another creature made his way over, this one much more familiar than the rest.

'Ma', now that was another word she hadn't heard for a considerably long time. She wouldn't usually say it was something she missed, but in this case, she supposed it was a welcome word to hear after all this time. "Luca," She responded rather warmly as he nuzzled against her, leaning down to give him a light nudge in return before he began whining and crying, flopping down onto the ground rather pathetically. The hellhound would move away from him, frowning, her demeanor suddenly changing. "Don't be embarrassing." She hissed harshly, tail lashing. "Get up, you're acting like a child." Had this not been her first appearance in the Typhoon, no doubt she would have been much harsher with her son, however she held back for now. She would rather not tarnish the group's thoughts of her already.

The canine's attention was soon drawn over to a serval making her way over, having just leaped down from a tree she must have been perched in earlier. She was even younger than the first to greet her, but she held a much more confrontational personality. Sango didn't like it. "Watch your tongue, kid." Before someone decides to rip it out of your bastard mouth. Damn, she needed to keep her cool here, not allow some impudent child to get on her nerves.

Yet another being managed to catch her eye, though. This one preferring to shadow rather than greet her upfront - she had to wonder if it had something to do with his size? Maybe he had a history of accidentally stepping on his smaller clan-mates, she didn't know. She angled her head up at him as if still expecting him to say something.

Re: BUY THE STARS — joining - Luca - 08-21-2018

Sango's initial warmth filled Luca with a joy he couldn't quite express. Out of all six of his parents, Sango was the only one whose approval mattered to him. He was too busy wallowing in the relief of her return to notice her sudden change in demeanour at first, but soon her sharp words cut through the hurricane of emotions swirling around inside him, causing him to glance up at her. "Huh?" he uttered dumbly, the word 'embarrassing' striking him like a knife to the gut. It took him a while to process it, but he eventually he swallowed and nodded, slowly pulling himself to his paws. That's right, he was pretty embarrassing, especially to someone as cool and composed as his mother. He wiped his his eyes with a wet paw, suddenly ashamed of how strongly he had let his emotions hit him. "I-I'm sorry Ma," he said, already expecting some sort of punishment once they were alone. He sat down and looked at the ground, sniffling quietly every now and then as he waited for her joining to be over and done with. In all his sadness he forgot to actually accept his mother into the clan, but someone slightly more competent was sure to do that for him.

It wasn't a shock to him when Luca had ended up following up behind him, the king cheetah giving a huff as he looked to the hellhounds form, briefly shifting his gaze back to Sango only to flick his ears at the words of Luca. 'Ma.' This was his mother? God he had a lot of questions about Luca then, and not good ones. The king cheetah watched as Luca dashed forward to his mother, Marcellus watching with a minor pang of envy as he watched the scene. He could only wish for his parents to be here as well, comforting him and telling him that everything would be alright; that he would be alright. The male forced a small smile onto the touching scene before Sango seemed to discipline the hellhound, a small tinge of shock on his face as he watched her hiss at him. Jeez, that family must of been all kinds of messed up though he would try to reserve his judgement for a later date. His eyes darted between the two before he took a step to the side to clear a small path for the female hellhound. "Well, erm, welcome to the Typhoon then. You're free to come in." He spoke, officially accepting Sango into the Typhoon.

Right now he didn't know much about her but he would remain observant and see how she would fair in the Typhoon. "If you would like a tour or need some help, I'm a call away. Same if you have any questions that need answers." He offered the female, voice a bit hoarse but other than that sounding mostly normal. He was a Striker so that meant he would have to begin stepping up in these types of situations and help out the joiners, get them accustomed to the place, help them adjust, answer any questions they may have. After all, he didn't want to make someone feel unwelcome.
