THE HUMAN RADIO // food supply raided - DANTE NORTHWEST. - 08-18-2018

SMOKED A PACK OR TWO, IT NEVER WAS A PROBLEM —
//Permission granted by Emil to do this!

Dante's Weekly Job this week was to steal food, slaves, or something from another group. So the hybrid had chosen The Rosebloods as his victim, and food as his target. Of course, the hybrid was no idiot and decided to raid their camp at night, slinking around the territory with the moon high in the sky. His orange pelt likely did some justice here, though his wings... probably not so much. Dante had to keep them tucked in, in fear of them making noise. He couldn't fly with them anyway, so it wasn't like the guy could just duck into The Roseblood's camp and steal what he could find and run off. No, the Strong Arm had to carefully maneuver around the area with a bag in his mouth.

It didn't take him very long to find their camp, considering how strong the smell was here. The hybrid halted a few paces from the entrance, hiding behind trees, as if making sure there was nobody guarding the place. There were a couple NPCs outside, seemingly some sort of (unofficial) guards. Easy targets. Dante grinned to himself, quickly leaping out at them. Due to being a hybrid, he was slightly bigger than the NPC felines and was quickly able to subdue them by placing his paws over their faces, suffocating them until they passed out. He could have murdered them, sure, but he wanted The Rosebloods to know who had done this.

Dante once again checked to see if anybody was up and about and luckily, it seemed everybody was asleep. Carefully, the orange-pelted hybrid went to their food pile, grabbing as many pieces of freshkill as he could in his back before he bounded back off to The Pitt. By now the sun was starting to rise and Dante knew that the members were likely beginning to awake now, and he had to get out of here as quickly as possible.

//Feel free to note Dante/The Pitt did this, as he did not bother hiding his scent!

peytriviing had admittedly slept in that morning compared to when they were normally awake. their more waking hours were in early dawn, as their bodys clock had gotten accustomed to their new schedule as a guard. they peeked out the open windows to the balcony of their suite and practically jumped out of the closet-turned-bedroom. their paws almost tripped over themselves rushing down the stairs to get back to their post, and paused to take a... oh.

the manticore sniffed, and a grimace tugged at their lips. the pitt? they h ad been there on a visit not long ago... "who ate my deer leg? i was looking forward to that." they growled, scorpion tail uncurling in annoyance. they didn't want to think it was the pitt, but telling by the unconscious bodies at the double doors to the mansion that was all they had to go off of.

"pres!" they called, turning their head toward the throne room. "we have an issue."

[align=center][div style="0px; width:450px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height:13px; color:black;"]Ugh, there was never a moment of rest around here. Or maybe she was just getting annoyed by her own lack of being able to set aside her own issue of not being able to rest and blaming others. But then again she was never the warm type to begin with. Breathing out harshly the woman would continue to lay on her side with eyes half open as the sounds of someone yelling about some type of problem lifted up into the air. Flexing her reinforced claws the woman pushed herself up to her haunches and she stretched out her reinforced claws before stepping her way out of what she had decided to call her room. It didn't have much in it but she was sure as heck going to try and make it look like something. Just not right now. As she stepped down some stairs the female would look down, lightly hopping before she came to stand near the large mutated like being before she wrapped her bushy tail around her paws and sat down. "I'm not whoever you called. But what's happened now?"

prestige trudged down the steps and slowed to a stop beside peytriviing, giving a confused expression until he saw what they were talking about. seemed someone had come and stolen their food; the pitt, by the way it reeked. the male took a moment to urge the now-waking npcs to the library for a check-up before turning back to pey and blueridge. "just what we needed," he sighed out. a paw lifted to groggily rub at his eyes, taking a moment to wake himself up a bit more before he continued. "you two, if you wouldn't mind, go to the pitt. consult them. we're short on healers so i would suggest you not pick a fight, but that's up to you." prestige paused and glanced up at peytriviing. "get our food back, if you can. and be safe."

Re: THE HUMAN RADIO // food supply raided - Jiyu Simul Stamus - 08-19-2018

She was patrolling most of the night, weaving through the territory chasing off the odd rouge who wanted to cause trouble with her roses, and simply making sure there was no danger present to anyone. Normally she would catch something like Dante's entry into the territory easily, but she had already crossed that area at least an hour before he crossed the border, meaning she was not there to intercept him and was on the complete opposite side of the territory by the time he crossed back over. Jiyu didn't double back tonight like she normally would, thus she would not instantly know what happened because she would not catch his scent in the territory. Instead? She decided to take the shortcut back to the mansion in order to see how Pey was doing with his duties, the manticore was much younger than herself, needed someone to teach them or at least watch over them as they grew adjusted to guarding and everything it could entail. On the way back to the mansion, as she headed towards the stairs, she finally caught the scent and even though she remained stoic it burned rage deep into her, searing her insides with the desire to eat whoever had intruded in their territory regardless of if they provided any nutrition to her.

Out of the shadows that played the halls in the dead of night, Jiyu materialized, paws silent against the floors as she walked up to Pres stopping about two tail lengths in front of him. "Pres, what they just did could kill members quick as not having any healers if we don't stand up to them and make it unattractive for them to do it again." they had just taken a good portion of the fresh kill many members spent the whole day hunting! She enjoyed protecting pacifists like him, but today and the following would determine if she respected him or simply wanted to keep him safe. "It's a trick normally used in war." she had seen it done before, stealing food to weaken an enemy. "Confronting them head-on won't work." the other group didn't care, they would just laugh if the guard manticore and canine went to confront them. "If we don't respond strongly they will just pick on us again." that's what ruffians did, they picked on those who could not or would not protect themselves properly. Luckily, protecting was what she did best. "One war trick for one war trick, it would be much better to send one patrol in as a diversion while another much smaller and swifter patrol steals our food back while their distracted dealing with the patrol causing a scene, and only our food to make a point, we can play their game and we're better at it." they were not weak, and Pres knew little about 'combat' and confrontation he was still very young, but she had years, this was a game she had been playing long as she could remember.

"bullshit happened." they growled in response, his childish bitterness forming into something more serious as he saw how low their stock was. the deer leg just hit them more personally, is all. when prestige came forward next, their shoulder relaxed and they looked to the snow leopard expectantly. perhaps he would have something to say. maybe he had an idea of why? they had not quarrels with the pitt, and peytri could see no ryhme or reason behind it all.

"will do." they looked to blueridge with a nod, and began to move  away until jiyu appeared. "jiyu..." it sounded much more aggressive when she put it that way. though her words were blunt and rough, and pointing out the other context clues... peytriviing felt uncomfortable jumping head on into it though. perhaps it was  their initial thought back to when they had first visited the pitt. yes man had appeared civil and welcoming. it confused them that this would happen.

"blueridge and i will investigate. we don't have the number for a war, keep in mind. what we report back will be up to pres in deciding what we will do next." their rose hued gaze turned back to the leader. "i'll get as much as we can back, promise." their voice was sincere, as if they had made some sort of vow to themselves. the manticore gave one last glance to blue before bounding off from the mansion.

Re: THE HUMAN RADIO // food supply raided - Jiyu Simul Stamus - 08-20-2018

Most of the animals surrounding her were idealists who believed violence had reason or method to it. Jiyu? Was old, experienced and twisted enough to know the only way those things existed in violence was when someone had need to organize it for their own impulsive emotional purposes. Expect her, she didn't have emotions, so she just controlled her violence on the basis of if it served her goal or not. Everyone standing in front of her still had to learn, she could remember the first time she encountered optimists like these, they didn't listen to her the first time then and they likely wouldn't know in spite of her having far more experience with this sort of thing. Most animals who saw the world as somewhere that violence only existed as justice or desperation? Took time and failure to learn that their ideas were wrong and they needed the help of someone who had already discovered the truth long ago in order to accomplish whatever they needed. She'd never take their aversion to doing the right thing in this case as something personal, but she would take it as a reminder she was surrounded by animals who needed her protection because they had no clue how to protect themselves.

"I never said we needed a full war, do not confuse war tactics with an actual war, if I wanted a war I would suggest much worse." she knew how to make other's hurt, she could never make them happy but she knew how to hurt them, in a strange way it let her preserve the happiness of those she cared about, sway the balance in their favor. "Good luck, the world would be a much better place if an idea like the one you three have could ever actually work." she already knew it would never work, they'd get laughed at, maybe told to up security and kicked off the enemy territory, though if it had been her on the other side she'd have just killed or maimed them to make a point. "Let me know if it doesn't work and we still want to try to get our food back, I'll still be here with a strategy that will have the best possible chance." it wasn't an If but she decided to be a bit nice, they'd just respond poorly to her straight up telling them this was going to fail, they needed to learn this lesson on their own.

Considering there was no use for her skills right now due to optimists needing to learn their lessons? The calico melded back into the dark hall, making her way out of the mansion and to the roof in order to watch over the building for the night, she didn't need to sleep she'd taken a nap earlier before her patrol, so it was alright to stay up tonight.
