GUILLOTINE — p, aita - MARCELLUS - 08-17-2018 Sniffling the cheetah suppressed a few coughs and looked at the Sage, forcing a small grin that spoke both embarrassment and apology. God he just sneezed on not only the Sage but Pincher's daughter. Great, he was already ready to accept his punishment. The king cheetah opened his mouth to say something but no words came out as the pain in his throat grew from talking previously. He waited a few moments before muttering something that sounded like a "sorry" somewhat, his word hard to make out and barely audible, sounding as if he was dying while saying that word. Deciding to shut up, the male closed his mouth and simply nodded, watching the Sage begin to make her way towards the jungle. A bit slower, the limping cheetah would follow, catching up whenever he fell a bit too behind. This was his first time going to the Sage and he didn't exactly know where they treated their patients or kept their herbs so he would stay close to Aita to make sure he didn't get lost, not wanting to be an even bigger nuisance than he was already proving to be, and sneezing definitely didn't help that.
Honey was never something Marcellus had took and a part of him was worried that he wouldn't like the food. What if he didn't? Would he use a different herb? The questions floated around in his mind, causing him to drift in and out of awareness, the male ending up brushing the entire side of his body against one of the trees in their path. Great. He looked to Aita and cleared his throat, wincing at the pain the clearing gave off. With that Marcel simply decided to continue and try to focus so he didn't end up wasting more of the Sage's time, his paws snapping twigs and branches as they padded through the Jungle. Once they reached their destination the male looked to Aita as he waited for her to grab the herb or lead him somewhere or anything really as he wasn't too sure what to do. Hesitantly, the male sat down and looked around at his surroundings, trying to find a landmark to help him remember this place easier. He was a bit of a forgetful person and frankly without a landmark he'd probably end up forgetting how to get to this place as well. It was her place to care for others in their time of need, not to tell them when they were doing idiotic things and she held no patience in this moment. Better to get this over with and be on her way. Upon her maw a scowl quickly took shape, a faint grumble of annoyance escaping between her teeth. Much smaller than the cheetah, and undersized even for one her age, it had grown easy to move through the jungle, climbing over the roots which pushed through the ground and easily moving through the damp leaf litter, small paws finding spaces amongst fallen twigs and dried leaves. Yet the sound behind her, the strained breath and the constant crackle of leaves and twigs beneath Marcellus' paws, was enough of a racket there seemed no point in attempting to quieten her own steps. Very now and then she stopped as the sound grew dim, casting a glance over her shoulder and watching as he moved closer, doing her best to keep her displeasure with this whole situation from showing. This was her job after all so she had best suck it up or resign. “Can ya climb?” Aita threw the question out rather nonchalantly, momentum drawing to a halt by the base of the tree she had come to call home. One of the taller it was easy to see the large structure within its branches, easily one of the biggest for it held numerous individuals rather than one or a pair and all the needed materials, linked with the others by boardwalks. Lifting a paw she tapped the wood and rope ladder that rested against the trunk, looking towards Marcellus with a raised brow. If not it would be easy for her to get the honey herself and come back but it would be better to be in the tree house in case there was anything else needed, and carrying glass up and down the ladder was rather dangerous. |
