If Cobalt had to be described in just a few words, the first to come to mind would probably be passionate, creative, outgoing, and gay as hell.

At his very core, Cobalt is an artist in every sense of the word. The world that he perceives is full of color, life, and opportunity to transform what he sees into something more. With this creativity as his driving force, he takes on every aspect of his life with enthusiasm, vigor, and confidence - a combination of traits that can make him either enjoyable to be around or a pain in the ass. Loud-mouthed and often bossy, he’s quick to tell others what to do or what he thinks, even if it’s not exactly his place or if it’s uncalled for. However, you can always trust him to be honest, and often he assumes he’s being helpful. Of course, this doesn’t mean he’s always trying to be kind - within him rests an unpleasant nature that reveals itself in sassy, cutting remarks when he runs short on patience.

A naturally talkative and open person, Cobalt is quick to make friends in any environment with his sharp humor and inviting nature. He is certainly never hard to find at a social event, where he is willing and ready to engage anyone and swap gossip, stories, and jokes. He prides himself on being the life of the party, and loves being surrounded by both close friends/family as well as strangers, so long as they’re willing to listen and reciprocate his enthusiasm. Something of a natural-born lover, Cobalt could easily be described as a romantic, though just as easily as he falls, he is just as prone to losing interest, often causing him to unintentionally lead others on before quickly looking elsewhere. He isn't afraid to demonstrate his affections, whether it be through physical behaviours or spoken word, but because of his general mannerisms and manner of speaking - which is often touchy-feely and flirtatious to begin with -, it can be difficult for others to differentiate between friendship and true romantic interest. However, given that someone can hold his attention for long enough, one would find him to be a steadfast and aggressively loyal, sometimes to the point of possessiveness or overprotectiveness, though he is in no way a jealous partner, and expects the same in return, being that he also cares strongly for his other friends and family members and would never sacrifice existing relationships for a romantic one.

Of course, upon meeting Cobalt, it might be easy to forget his upbringing and home life. After all, he spends most of his time painting and socializing and being generally flamboyant - how bad could he be? The answer, of course, is that he can be very, very terrible indeed. Hidden beneath his bubbly, friendly exterior is a vicious and sadistic creature just waiting to emerge. This part of him often reveals itself in the face of those who have wronged him, his family, or perhaps just around those who piss him off. He’ll list monstrous, vile threats in such a casual manner that they are completely believable, and, being the honest man he is, fully intend to carry them out if the circumstances allow. He sees torture and slaughter as just another art form, another way to express himself, and it isn’t uncommon for him to transform victims into art pieces, whether it be through their means of demise or by utilizing bodily remains in permanent art installations.
