tennessee waltz - deutschland - Feliciano V. - 08-11-2018 [glow=Hotpink,2,300]"speech"[/glow] This was not a great idea- it never was a great idea at all. See, having lived near clans that weren’t really hostile to intruders unless they prove themselves to be a threat with the whole “name and business” spiel, Feliciano had admittedly forgotten how there are groups who attack them even with unintentionally trespassing through their territory. That was how he and his mate, West, ended up running away from a small group of attackers who were hostile to them almost immediately, chased them through the night. It was a chase that got his heart pounding, out of the fear of once more overusing his powers, perhaps even dying, because he knew that dying would hurt, and it wouldn’t bode well if they end up dying because they were overpowered by a group of attackers. Running through the night proved to be exhausting, especially in the near pitch black of night with nothing but the moon proving to be of any light in the uncharted territories. It was then when Deut grabbed him by the scruff, and a yelp almost escaped him, if not for the large sounds of shuffling nearby. It took a while for Feli to even recognize that they were in some sort of den, especially when hes squeezed into his mate’s body, and he assured himself it was his mate when he quietly sniffed and recognized Deut’s scent. There were still those animals that chased them nearby, as he could hear their shouts and their bewilderment as to having lost those who intruded on their land. While his heart thumped steadily on his chest, he was glad that given that he was a feline, his eyes adjust well into the darkness, that despite how dark it was, he could see that he was still close by his mate, who had found them a perfect hiding place away from those... Barbarians. [glow=Hotpink,2,300]“...That was a close call.”[/glow] he whispered, as he let himself purr, trying to relax despite the stressful situation they both had been in [glow=Hotpink,2,300]“But I don’t think that we’ll be going out of here anytime soon till morning... They were relentlessly going after us, after all.”[/glow] relentless perhaps wasn’t a strong enough word to describe how the group hasn’t lost their focus on them, despite having gone far far away from that accidentally trespassed territory of theirs. Despite the now apparent safety, he couldn’t help but shiver at the thought of what happened to those who trespassed like them, even by accident... That wasn’t really a good thought to think of, really. [glow=Hotpink,2,300]— ✘ —[/glow]
Re: tennessee waltz - deutschland - Deutschland - 08-12-2018 Was it ... bad that he liked living rogue with Feliciano at his side? He had never felt so relaxed and happy. He was wary of Clan life, knowing very well that politics and power and Deutschland did not mix well together. And, with the tabby cat by his side, he really didn’t need anything else. He liked the feeling of no responsibilities. Even their kids were old enough to fend for themselves and didn’t need their help with anything. But, sometimes, moments like this happened and he found himself wishing for the protection of a Clan. Hostile groups were something he had forgotten existed, so it was quite a shock when they found themselves being approached in a snarly manner. When Deutschland realized that their pursuers kept chasing them even after their territory was far behind them, he knew he had to do something or they would be run to their deaths. Deutschland did not want to die. He had grabbed Feliciano by the scruff and darted into what he hoped was an unoccupied den. The last thing they needed was a mother fox or badger with her cubs. The German shepherd plastered himself against the furthest wall, eyes darting back and forth as he held his breath. He heard the footsteps thunder above his head and the confused grunts and growls of their pursuers. He waited until they died off before glancing at Feliciano with a stupidly cocky grin. He could tell that Feliciano was still a bit frazzled by the encounter, but it filled Deutschland’s ego knowing that he had narrowly avoided death for the both of them. ”Yeah, you’re right.” Deutschland tried to turn around in circles to get into a comfortable position, but his large form and long feathery tail was getting in the way of everything so he finally decided to shapeshift into his cat form. That felt a lot better. Deutschland stretched out his paws and lay down with a soft purr, licking the grit and dirt off the pads of his feet. ”Not such a bad place, huh?” He remarked with a proud grin, his blue eyes glinting in the dark as he looked at Feliciano, obviously begging for the tabby to snuggle up against him. Re: tennessee waltz - deutschland - Feliciano V. - 08-12-2018 Pride, Proudness. He could feel it radiating from Deutschland, and he really doesn’t mind that feeling at all, since it did no harm, despite their near death encounter if they haved been cornered by that aggressive group. He accepted it as something that would be a part of West, and cherished it, just as much as West would in his hidden rage and deception, because love has no boundaries after all that they’ve been through. Still, it was not nice to be basically cramped, for West at least, since he was bigger than both of him in his natural form as a canine, so it was obvious that shifting to his feline form would prove to be both most comfortable for both of them. Feli snorted at that smug grin, sighed, but cuddled up to the larger feline all the same, letting his head rest underneath Deut’s own and letting a rumbling purr get off from his chest [glow=Hotpink,2,300]"It’s not that bad as long as you’re here."[/glow] he admitted, because that was more than certain. Feliciano preferred the safety of being in a large group, but despite his apprehension, he has already grown far accustomed to the travelling life he and Deut had decided to go on together on [glow=Hotpink,2,300]"And this has been another time you got me- us both out of trouble. I’m surprised you aren’t tired of having to save me all the time ever since you saved me the first time from being mauled by a badger."[/glow] he said rather fondly, still remembering the first time as to how they met, here his mate fended off a badger while he innocently doze off. Those were the simpler times, times that Feli both want to both go back to and not at the same time. [glow=Hotpink,2,300]— ✘ —[/glow]
Re: tennessee waltz - deutschland - Deutschland - 08-12-2018 Pride was an essential pillar to his character. It had gotten him into trouble, but it had also helped him suceed. When he acted smug around Feliciano, it was only to tease him. Of course, when he encountered other people who posed a threat to his ego and reputation, he’d purposefully be smug and mean. Funny how the times changed ... he had been such an introvert and obedient to all orders and commands ... his time as leader had allowed his pride to flourish, and now, living a wanderer’s life with Feliciano, he was fiercely independent and stubborn. Of course, his heart would always melt with Feliciano, and could pretty much be completely obedient and loyal to anything that came out of Feli’s mouth ... if the brown tabby played his cards right. ”That’s funny coming from you.” The Russian blue chuckled. ”You’ve saved my soul hundreds of times and despite everything ... you’re still here by my side.” Truth was, he’d fight every badger in the world if it meant to save Feliciano. That much was easy. He was older now, his birthday was nearing in about two months, but his fighting and survival skills were still sharp. He’d never get tired of having to sweep Feliciano off his feet from some hostile animal. What he couldn’t believe was the fact that he didn’t deserve to have this creature by his side. Would he go back to when they were young and innocent? It’d certainly be a nice thought, but he wouldn’t want to change what happened in the past. Their history was only good for looking back on the moments, laughing at time and remembering good times. Deutschland shifted his head to playfully nip Feliciano’s ear, a raspy purr vibrating in his chest. ”And I remember when you thought kittens come from chicken eggs. I saved you from embarrassment then.” He recounted one of the lighter and humorous moments from their past with a teasing smile. |
