— FULL DESCRIPTION: Floris is a mutated dragon, with no wings or wing foundations in sight; in overall terms of structure, he seems very much a cross between reptilian and avian physicalities (unsurprising since he is a dragon) though he is not covered in scales. Instead, he has a series of plates, sections of what are almost an exo-skeleton that protect vital organs, and so the plates are present around his neck and chest, as well as a few less-vital regions such as his feet and upper legs. The rest of him is tough, leathery skin of a very dark mousey sable color. The most notable feature comprises a series of long, near-spikey protrusions from his head, known as his fringe. The crests are more bits of bone on the surface, and connect to the face, which is a series of connecting plates that include mandibles (these convey his version of smiles; tight mandibles represent discomfort or a frown, while flared mandibles may be a smile).

For a size reference, he's around the height of a lion, although less bulky; he seems impossibly narrow between shoulders and hips, which are both much wider than his midriff (considerably, but the hips are more tapered in comparison to the shoulders). Regardless, he possesses great balance and bodily control.

His eye area is ridged, surrounded by the plates, and the eyes themselves sit vulnerable in skin. The right eye is a vibrant seafoam green color, while the left -damaged by an extreme burn- is white with blindness. That side of his face is distorted from said burn, particularly thick around the cheek and mandible, which he has difficulty moving to the same degree as the right. One can scarcely make out the matching crimson markings through the burn, though are fully intact on the other side. The plum-red markings -durable paint naming his home- swirl down from his eye in several elegant sweeps, reaching down as far as the bottom of his mandible.

His front feet are three-toed talons, with scales dotting the digits, and the rear feet are two-toed and broad, also scaled. Floris doesn't have much of a tail to speak of, as it's merely a nub, although that is not a natural occurrence in his fellow dragons, but an alteration when very young. Beyond that, he has a near cone-shaped bit of bone encircling the base of his shoulders. The carapace is not especially large, but connects to the chest plating and acts as shielding.
