BASTILLEPRISONER AURELIUS
BY THE GRACE OF THE FIRE AND THE FLAMES
After checking that the Typhoon kiddos were freed from their "dungeon" (as if the room he'd put them in was actually that bad), Bastille heeded Carolina's advice that they get on top of their own task. He knew that they needed to check into the Control Room sooner than later, but he would admit that he had some reservations about it; he never felt entirely right in that room, constantly reminded of Starry's presence, and with his vision getting worse... Well, he was fairly certain he was going to see flickering memories of Starry the second he stepped back inside. He supposed he could thank the darkness for interfering with his superimposed visions somewhat.

[b]"Time for my group to get to their task," Bastille called from the Circle, standing outside the Control Room. Carolina had been right by him moments ago, so he just called for the others, adding, "Thea, Pimostra -- where did you two go?" Flames sparked at his paws and hovered there, casting some light. He could rely on auras to see, but it was less strain on his eyes with the flames to help -- and it would help them find him. "We're going to be search the Control Room for any security command. Some of the functions are labeled, but, well..."

Bast shrugged, and then pushed the door open. It looked very much the same as he'd first seen it: Bastille had never moved, and Starry's papers were strewn across the floor, some set aside after Bast had found the notes he was looking for and the others still scattered around in random clumps of vaguely related ideas. True to his word, Starry had labeled a few of the commands for the roof and others, but there were a lot of unmarked ones, too. "So... I guess we check Starry's notes and see if anything else looks suspect," he supplied, lamely.

[ a lil sidenote that there's nothing helpful to be found uwu pewish

"Here." Thea was already feeling the effects of being locked in. Usually, the young Fireball was fine with being inside, but something about not being able to get out bothered her greatly, something that was slowly driving her towards insanity.

She was ready to shove a fork in somebody's eye already.

Trotting after Bastille, she stuck close to the group, not wanting to get lost by taking a wrong turn, and blue optics settled on the control room, with blinking lights here and there, and she asked, "What exactly are we supposed to be looking for?"

[align=center][div style="0px; width:450px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height:13px; color:black;"]"Anything that will help us open the Observatory back up so we can get out of here." Her tone was clipped and she was finding it a bit hard to maintain her calm. She didn't like being locked up and she usually had all the solutions to any problem that came her way. But this, this was something different and every time she tried to beat it back it hit twice as hard. She couldn't find her way out and that alone made her dangerous. She wanted to get out and she might do something drastic to achieve that. But for now she moved from the darkness that had enveloped much of the Observatory, liquid amber gaze shifting over the controls and the strewn papers that were about the place. It was strange that much was certain and she still wondered at how some of them wrote with paws. It was hard to maneuver anything in her own grip and she sighed lightly before shaking her head a bit and stepping forward. As with anything she started with the papers first, although she had half a mind to just start pressing anything that was within reach. Her eyes scanned over things that seemed like private journals to technical babble and she threw some away from her in agitation. "Is any of this stuff even going to work if we don't have any power?"
