without a rustic spoon + aya - toboggan - 08-08-2018 There were a lot of interesting personalities in Tanglewood, one of the main factors in luring him to the swamp. Folks hellbent on destruction, those who claimed to be scientists and their unholy studies, not to mention the endless supply of those who want to harm themselves than others. It was simply utter chaos, and in Leroy’s mind, it was the perfect clan. There was much room for improvement, meaning Tanglewood was in excellent condition to be reformed by a new leader, and that new leader- was that dog with the ice mask. Yeah, he forgot about that. Maybe next time he’d do a better job, perhaps snatch a high position when the previous leader disappears like that.
For the perfect clan that this place was, there wasn’t a lot going on at the moment. In fact, the last time something was going on, it was the mask vigil. Leroy knew he should’ve attended. It was a while until the next one, although this time, he would actually take part in it and earn his cool mask. Until then, he was out of work. There was no point in blackmailing whoever he felt like blackmailing anymore, there was a punishment. As for weekly tasks, he was still waiting on those. For the first time in possibly his life, he was bored. Not, “I have nothing to play with”, bored, but “do I have a reason to be here” bored. Leroy had two ideas on killing that boredom of his: either suck up to the new commander, or find someone that he could routinely go to when he had nothing to do, the latter sounding way better than the former. Rumours of someone building something unnatural here had made their way to his ears, and Leroy’s interest was peaked. He wanted in. Even if it was merely fetching the parts, he wanted to actually be a part of something in this clan. After all, he no longer had intentions of bringing this community to ruin. Emptily tottering around the town, he counted on the opportunity jumping out at him, rather than the mutt going out and finding said opportunity himself. The heat really took a toll on some people. In the form of the small tortoiseshell that had threatened him upon his arrival appearing through a large crack in the wall and darting past his feet - she stopped, for a moment, looking up at Leroy, questioning in her eyes before she laughed softly and fled again. Still, if he were to watch where she went, he could see she had positioned herself upon a wall, sitting, waiting, looking down at him. "You need something?" Aya asked, tail waving. Re: without a rustic spoon + aya - toboggan - 08-09-2018 He was not in the mood for games; actually, Leroy was definitely in the mood for games, as he was bored out of his mind. However, playing cat-and-mouse was not his idea of fun, evidently though, it was Aya’s, the feline who hid from him on his first day here. Disregarding how stupid this felt, he was no loser. He had scrambled after the feline for a second or two, exclusively to see that she had escaped, only to hear her voice reverberate from an upward position.
”Yeah, I need somethin’," he’d lament honestly, not even remotely thinking of messing with the feline in any way, ”I need anythin’. I go’ nothin’ t’ do”. Being strangely earnest, one could see that the heat was clearly getting the better of him. Re: without a rustic spoon + aya - aya - 08-09-2018 [div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 55%; font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt; text-align: justify;"]Boredom? How honest. It wasn't nearly as common a motive as Aya expected, but whatever. "Would you rather be bored or a desecrater of corpses?" It was a totally sincere question despite the grin, and the tortoiseshell continued. "If you're up for it, I'm amassing a collection of... parts. Limbs, organs, whatever you can find, as long as it's fresh." Her tail lashed as she added, "But if I find you've tampered with any of it, you may just have to compensate." Re: without a rustic spoon + aya - toboggan - 08-10-2018 Collecting body parts for a young girl? How morbid. How interesting. How morbidly interesting. "Anythin’s betta’ than bein’ bored, as morbid as that is", he’d exclaim, completely unfazed by Aya’s twaddle of a threat. Of course, Leroy wasn’t interested in doing this free of cost. Perhaps a reward could be in order, or, he could possibly have her owe him a favour. ”Okay, you rascal,” he’d begin lightheartedly, ”you got me, I’m your mutt. Howeva’, I would like t’ know if there’s anythin’ in it f’r me, other th’n pride an’ accomplishment an’ such”.
Re: without a rustic spoon + aya - aya - 08-10-2018 [div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 55%; font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt; text-align: justify;"]Obviously, that made sense. She was surprised at Leroy's willingness - he must indeed be bored out of his skull. Flicking her tail, the tortoiseshell answered, "Alright, name it. Whatever you need, whenever, but only proportionate to this, and only once." She watched the mutt with interest, wondering if he'd accept that as a favour or ask for something now. Re: without a rustic spoon + aya - toboggan - 08-10-2018 "Only proportionate to this," he’d repeat scornfully, ”we’re talkin’ ‘bout me goin’ out and collectin’ body parts fo’ ya, aren’t we?” Aya’s favour would definitely be useful if it could be to the extent of this. Speaking that final sentence just there forced Leroy to realize how impulsive this decision was. The canine was going to go into the world, find fresh entrails and body parts, those of which he would give to Aya. Sounds like fun, for a madman. Imaginably, this could very well be a test of loyalty - or a test of how strong his stomach really was. ”Sounds like we’ve got somethin’ goin’ now. Jus’ one question befo’e I do anythin’: wha’re ya buildin’?”

At his final question, the tortoiseshell laughed, standing up. "Well, it's more like who am I building?" A definitely ominous tone haunted her voice, flicking her tail as she watched the mutt. She was about ready to leave - there were things to plan, after all. "I expect the first piece in the next few days." |
