That's all she could feel as she tried to find her plastic bag. Maybe she should have grabbed some extra bags at some point.. but of course, she didn't. You're just that stupid. She said to herself in her head. She shivered and pulled her blanket close to her body as she searched for the plastic bag in the snow. She made a small pitiful noise as saliva dripped past her split jaws in her panic.

She needed that bag to hide. Hide this ugly face. These people seemed nice, but that could very well be a lie. The circus had taught her that anything and anyone could be a huge fat lie, and the feline didn't want to risk it. One look at her face and they would look at her with disgust. Ridicule her, even. The worst scenario, however, was that her looks might scare people away. She wasn't a monster. She wasn't. She was ugly, but she was a good person. She tried so hard to be good. Snowbound had to be like the circus. Even the nicest ones at the circus made fun of her behind her back. The only people that ever understood her were the other freaks. They filled her with hope, and they promised her they would all join the butterfly circus one day. A circus that made everyone feel loved, that they were worth something. Everyone had a talent, no matter how much of an oddity they were.. It was thoughts like these that gave her hope..

So maybe.. She could give the clan a chance. Eventually. They weren't ready to see her face. It was best they got to know her first before she showed them her body and face. Then they wouldn't judge her as harshly... Or so she hoped. So instead of wallowing in her self pity, she inhaled deeply and with a quick exhale, she stood up and tied her black blanket tightly around her neck to hide her body underneath. She went inside her little hole she had dug out for herself. She disappeared for a quick minute and came out with a ragged and large piece of purple cloth. She wrapped it around the lower half of her face to cover her maw. Her eyes glowed for a second, fear apparent. The uglier part of her was hidden now, but under her right eye, was a small horn. It just awkwardly poked out and sometimes when Abomy blinked, there was pain.

This was a start. She was taking small steps in forcing herself out of her comfort zone and opening up to people who may or may not hurt her.

And to think this was all because of a stupid plastic bag being lost.

ATBASH CIPHER
i know i should stop believing
i know there's no retrieving
After the rumor of Caesar's powers started floating around Dimension FiveX, Atbash remembered that everything that her youngest brother said was practically a lie. And even if it was truth, it was a twisted one. Atbash hated that he felt the need to lie about every little thing, or twist the truth so damn much it might as well be a lie. The Hailcaller had never had to deal with being degraded by him, but she certainly felt like she couldn't do anything to help her brother overcome his lies. They were constant, as if he couldn't stop himself.

"Ah, Abomy!" Atbash called out upon seeing the other female come out of her cabin. The feline's large ears were pricked in Abomy's direction as if she looked excited to see the shy girl. Atbash slowly made her way over, suspecting if she moved too fast, she might scared Abomy off. "How's it going? Where's your bag?" There was slight concern in her voice; she remembered how distraught Abomy had been just thinking about the bag being off.
