EVERYTHING STAYS ☀ natasha - arcy - 08-05-2018

Izuku is weary. Tired. Nothing feels like it'll slot into place like he wants to to. The hollow feeling in his chest just won't go. Theoretically, Izuku should be content. He'd already long since gotten over his death or whatever. He wasn't bothered by much of anything happening around him, and he had so many friends. He was happy in Snowbound. But his past just wouldn't leave him alone. Locket came back. She wasn't here right now. Izuku had a break from the normally quiet bird's mocking chides. .. He supposes he hadn't felt all that put together through his entire stay here either, though. He may have felt better, but it's kind of hard to feel like you deserve much of anything when you've killed people. .. Generally by accident. He hadn't meant to. Izuku had never wanted to hurt people, but that didn't mean he hadn't. No excuses.
.. He misses people, too. Old clanmates, gone. Harrison. He misses Jacob, sometimes. .. He especially misses Natasha. She'd been one of the people he'd been closer to. The first person he'd talked to about being human. .. He'd liked spending time with her. Liked being her clanmate. Izuku huffs a sigh, long and slow. His talons curl, pressing into the center of his foot. His claws are long and sharp and the weak scales give when he presses in. He grimaces at the sting, but it takes a minute for him to take the pressure off. A soft trickle of blood leaks from his .. palm, maybe? Well, it's leaking. And he's going to end up bleeding all over his herbs. Luckily, it shouldn't be long 'till it stops.
Izuku's tail gives a long sweep, from one side of his body to his other. The snow swept by his tail makes a small mound next to him, and Izuku allows himself a little grin as he topples it with another twitch of his tail. But .. he has stuff to do. He can't just sit here and sulk. The dragon's ears briefly flatten against his skull. He doesn't .. want to get up. Was it too much to ask for one day off? Izuku had dealt with herbs enough, and he was tired. The scent of them clung to his skin, like it was there permanently. It made Izuku sick to think about how it'd overriden most of his old scent, which had been described as 'honey and pine'. He'd never wanted to be a doctor. A medic. He doesn't know why he signed up for this. As passionate as he may be, it felt tiring and restricting, sometimes. He was stuck here, in this position. Because Jacob just .. abandoned him. Which .. wasn't fair. Wasn't fair because Izuku wasn't ready. He had to mature himself for this position in this span of like .. a week because Jacob just had to drop the place like a hot potato instead of handling it more maturely. The dragon half-heartedly glowers at the basket of herbs he has in front of his paws. He's tired. He hasn't slept in days. But, regardless, Izuku sighs and begins clambering to his feet. One paw after the other. He balances himself, still not entirely used to this form. He opens his jaws and takes the basket in them. He doesn't bite too hard, because his teeth were sharp and he doesn't want to break the handle. Then, in one fluid motion, he lifts it into the air and makes wide strides towards the medical cabin. The place is still damaged, and Izuku can still smell the ash and smoke and stench of burned herbs. He's repaired it enough to be stable, at least, and a nice enough place to organize his herbs. He's worked on putting shelves into the upper floors, so he can sort them by herbs. .. It'll be harder to burn that way, too. Unless you wanted to set the whole damn cabin on fire, but that single incident would hopefully be enough for a while.
The wood of the steps creak under Izuku's weight. The dragon grimaces, tail curling around himself so he doesn't knock anything over. The steps feel like they might give, damaged by smoke and heat, but Izuku has wandered up and down these stairs enough that he's not worried. Then he's on the second floor, and his injuries ache because Izuku shouldn't be doing anything strenuous. Walking up stairs counted as that. It wasn't a good combo with all the other things he did.
Izuku huffs as his eyes scan the room. A large desk sits in the corner, and to the left of it there's a knocked over rolling chair. It doesn't really work anymore, but Izuku thinks he'll try and figure it out later anyways. Rolling chairs were nice. Otherwise, there's a few cots for patients. Not many, this was just a room in case the downstairs one got filled. Or, that was how it was intended to be. The downstairs was pretty ruined. He shakes his head. Towards the end of the room, nearly parallel to the cots except it was just .. a whole wall, are the shelves. There's already some herbs in the .. cubbies, he'll reluctantly call them. A good half of them are dried, and the rest are things he has to make into poultices. Izuku wasn't looking forward to that. It was time consuming, but so were a lot of things Izuku did to make first aid easier. The dragon sighs once more and shakes his head, taking one slow step forward. And then another few, as he lowers himself to the ground in front in the cubbies, legs folded under him. Sort of like a horse would lay. Except one talon reaches back out to pull the basket he'd placed down closer to himself. He takes the blue plaid cloth over it off, and with a reluctant swish of his tail, begins separating the marigold from the rest of the herbs. He looks .. tired. Reluctant to be here. Reluctant to be doing this. It was just so .. tiring. Time consuming. He's not .. He's not sure how to describe it. He hates having to spend his only time without Locket here by himself when he could be with his clanmates, instead.

NATASHA
Natasha was always wary. Ever since her death in the human world, she'd been unsure of who to trust. Then she had come to Snowbound. It was certainly a nice group with friendly and kind residents. Izuku. Atbash. Stark. Melantha. Aizawa. Jacob. Those were the only members- or former members- she could remember. To be honest, she regretted leaving multiple times, but she had things she had to deal with. Personal things. Natasha had tried to forget the Red Room so many times- but the memories never seemed to go away forever. She had enough happy memories that could possibly hide her memories of her childhood.
Something she never told anyone, she was unable to have children. In the Graduation Ceremony of the Red Room, she had been sterilized, as being able to have children was heavily frowned upon. And of course, she couldn't forget the films they had been forced to watch that would brainwash them. A few years from her late childhood and early teenhood were just blank, so she assumed that's when she had been controlled.
Anyways- she had been feeling a strong urge to return to Snowbound's snowy territory. It had called her back to the place she'd been calling home for sometime now, so she had came back. Without any hesitation, she had walked over the border and headed to the village. The first place she had decided to visit- was Izuku's cabin. An invisible brow raised, Natasha would push open his front-door with her nose and she would wince as the door would make a creaking sound as it had opened up. She hoped that he wasn't asleep, as she would be angry with herself if she woke him up.
"Izuku? You home?" The female would call out.
