guitar hero - o, wt/karaoke - calliope - 08-01-2018
When she asked for a weekly task, she wasn't expecting this. Honestly, she just wished that she could do something more suited to her skills. Really, she was just lucky that throwing a karaoke party wouldn't force her to sing in front of everyone. As long as people were having fun, things should work out. Then again, she had no idea what she was doing. It wasn't a surprise to anyone, but Mira wasn't a party person. Really, that just meant the girl had no idea how to make a party fun, or how to get people to agree to attend. Mira had the bear minimum; an old karaoke machine, a sign-up sheet and some refreshments. She managed to find a few alcohol bottles, as well as some stray sodas and other miscellaneous non-alcoholic drinks. The setup was pretty organized, each drink sitting accordingly, despite the fact that it would fall apart as soon as people started grabbing them. Maybe that was all a part of the fun, though, so she decided to push all worries about it to the back of her mind. After sitting on her own for a little while, nervously messing with the little karaoke machine, she decided that it was a good time to call people over. "H-hey!" she called out, surprisingly loud for someone of her nature, "I've set up a karaoke party over here if you want to come." She paused for a few moments. Maybe this wasn't the best way to get people over, but she wasn't going to stop now. "Oh - and, you don't have to sing if you don't want. You can just watch," she eventually added, figuring some people might skip out just because they didn't want to sing. "There's also drinks, if that interests anyone." Her last statement was kind of quiet, as she stepped away from the karaoke machine. She just hoped that someone else would take over and get things started. She really, really hoped that she didn't have to sing in front of everyone. Re: guitar hero - o, wt/karaoke - guitarstrings ! - 08-02-2018
Treestump hadn't really ever been to a party, if he could remember correctly. Most of his life he spent just trying to survive on his own as a loner between the lands that now held several clans, though he wasn't a stranger to small groups sitting around playing music in the distance as he travelled onward. In some ways, the young wolf had wished he could've taken a break to listen to the sounds of flute, accordions, and drums being practically melded into his head with how often he heard them, often wondering if they were actually there at times or just his wild imagination at play. He hoped that someone or even the sweet Mirabella would grace the party with something as enjoyable as the sounds and making up for his lack of trust in himself to sing or even mumble softly as to not be too disrespectful to the hostess. Tree, however, found his jaw locked in place as he approached with the slight wag of his tail and a calm aura resonating from the large canid, who stood a respectable distance from the feline as to not cause her to fret too much over his arrival. "Ah..." He let out a small noise and nodded his head as he looked to the humble set up before them, trying to show Mira that he liked it despite the lack of words and strange gestures that came from the male. muse where the fuck are you "SPEECH" Re: guitar hero - o, wt/karaoke - delphinium - 08-02-2018 [align=center] ☼ - Singing was not a new concept to Delphinium: although she wasn't much of a vocalist herself, the kitsune often hummed tunes to herself during busywork and enjoyed the sound of classical instruments the few times she had been exposed to them. But this "karaoke" was entirely new to her. Music was not a necessity in the Sanctuary she hailed from, and thus Delphi had little exposure to it. Her hums were of her own composure, and even as a child Delphi and her sisters had never crafted a song of their own to sing to each other. She had heard humans sing unintelligibly during their daily business, heard the songs of Tanglers that passed her by occasionally. But Delphinium herself did not know the lyrics to any song, although she was in no rush to confess to such directly. Approaching shortly after Treestump, quizzical evergreen eyes grazed across the odd assortment of items Mira had collected for the small event. She recognized the soda cans and the stench of sterilization drifting from the larger glass bottles, yet the centerstage device was lost on her. "Karaoke", the word came up again. Passing by the stalled canine to near the Medic's setup closer, an amused smile turned the corners of Delphi's lips upward. The effort was apparent in the modest setup.
"What's karaoke?" Delphinium finally inquired, sliding her gaze off of her surroundings to rest on Mira curiously. Re: guitar hero - o, wt/karaoke - beck. - 08-04-2018 Re: guitar hero - o, wt/karaoke - JERSEYBOY - 08-05-2018
Karaoke? Drinks? He was there. In a heartbeat, Jerseyboy had appeared at the scene of this "party", which didn't look like much a party, anyways. Sheesh, these Tanglers needed some advice on how to throw a rager. Although, they had gotten one thing right — the alcohol. The tuxedo tom had grown up in a city, and along with liquor, he had been exposed to karaoke as well. It seemed to be a fun thing for humans to do, especially in the bars. It was funny, watching them all grow more [sub]intoxicated[/sub] as time passed and struggling to keep their balance. Some of them had good voices, and some were terrible. As for Jerseyboy? He was decent. He was no professionally trained vocalist, but after singing and playing guitar for most of his life, he had acquired a good range. ( So, how could he possibly say no? ) Besides, it would give him a chance to showboat his skills in front of everyone. Anything that involved being in the ( spotlight ) was good for Jersey. However, he decided against being one of the first to sign up — he wanted to see what musical talent these people possessed. Besides, he was saving the best for last. The tuxedo tom swiped a beer for himself and settled down before prying the tab and c r a c k i n g open the can. He took a sip and lifted his cranium, olivine eyes [sub]settling[/sub] onto the crowd. "Alright, this I gotta see." Jersey said. © madi

malphas heard karaoke party. god, that was so stupid, he thought as he padded over. then he knew he had to be nice. mira was a nice person, she hadn't done anything wrong, and was even just doing a weekly task. she was fine. she was his co-worker and they'd learn to get along. he would learn to respect her. there was alcohol, and his crimson eyes immediately looked to them, but he changed his mind. no, to be nice he had to be sober. "ha. i want to sing," malphas said, shedding his anxiety and wanting to be the center of attention. "hit me up, i'll sing anything, mira." |
