MAZE OF CONFUSION | weekly tasks 8/1 - 8/7 - Shininglight - 08-01-2018

Somehow, someway, Shining had managed to rope himself into hosting the tasks for this week. He couldn't remember how exactly- had he gone up to Bast to request it? Why would he in the first place? Or maybe Bast went to Shine after not receiving any volunteers from the last meeting. Whatever the case, the winged tom had that duty to carry out today. It'd be... an interesting challenge, both for him and his clanmates. His ideas and words would probably be scattered, confusing, and perhaps downright weird.

Tabitha let out a loud piping noise to gather the Ascendants' attention for Shining. He sat himself in the middle of the Grand Circle. "Come here. Have tasks... for the week!"

// madi made me do it. IC tasks will probably be a bit unclear from shine at first, so you may have to use some creative thinking! you're also free to request OOC tasks!

"Hello," the tom said, a bit too professional in tone. "I would like on of these tasks... for the week," he finished, his strange pause identical to Shininglight's.

Hearteyes trots up moments after René, looking up at Shininglight with interest. "I would like a task for this week, too! Give me a fun one." She pipes up, tail waving behind her.

Cece couldn't say she was totally sure what weekly tasks were but she'd heard of them before and knew that other people did them every once in awhile. Today she wasn't feeling so sick and she didn't seem to be flickering as much so she supposed it'd be okay if she took one. "I'd like a weekly task too, mister." She didn't actually know this man's name but she supposed 'mister' would suffice in terms of politeness.

Roy hasn't participated in weekly tasks for awhile now. Roy couldn't remember the last time he requested one, or even hosted one. Perhaps it was with Margaery or Suiteheart that he received his last task in. Both of them knew Roy quite well, and probably found it easy to assign a task to Roy that would suit him. Shininglight on the other hand, Roy isn't very close to the Cleric. So he couldn't help but wonder what task Shininglight would hand to him, whether it'd suit him or not. The bobcat made his way over, his blue gaze quickly landing on the winged feline. "I'll take a task," The Flame Alchemist commented, with a flick of his ear.

Soon enough, a few Ascendants started to gather in front of him. Perhaps at this point Shining realized he didn't have any tasks planned out in his head. Oh well, he'd do his best regardless. He somewhat recognized Rene, as the male feline padded up to ask. Spoke funny, similarly to himself. But maybe not as broken. "Need good arts and crafts. Fill picture hallway with... pictures. Paintings. Paint stuff. Show creativity..."

Next came Hearteyes. Shine didn't recognize them whatsoever. There were a lot of faces in the Ascendants for him to keep track of. But she looked energetic, enthusiastic. She requested something fun. "Fun... Party is fun. Dancing, music upbeat. Stay in rhythm. Don't trip..."

Then Moon arrived. The winged tom knew them somewhat, mainly the whole strange education class he had hosted not too long ago. Shine frowned as he puzzled over what task to give him. "Lot of adults... Need something for young. Children need fun too. Safety, though. Bigger risk for them."

Another unfamiliar Ascendant. Shine would struggle for a while learning everyone's names and faces. The young female seemed polite though, so his frowned turned into a smile. "Something relaxing. Quiet, like library. Books. Reading? Collect things, for people to read. Comics, novels. Stories to share..."

Shine recognized Roy. His smile faded, remembering the events of when he had dragged Jacob into the Grand Circle for an interrogation. Not something he had enjoyed watching, and had attempted to stop it. They probably weren't on good terms now. "You control fire... Make fire, big fire. On beach, in the night. Bring food to eat. Chocolate, crackers and... puffy. Puffy on stick. Don't lose control."

[member=1627]HEARTEYES[/member] Hearteyes finds herself crushing on a member of the Ascendants. Who are they, and why has she become infatuated by them? Does she brush it off as a fleeting feeling, helplessly watch them from the sidelines, or risk talking to them and seeing where it could go?

[member=1404]cerasus f.m.[/member] Cece struggles with invisibility. When did it all start? Why specifically does she dislike going invisible- because its painful, or some other fear? Will she one day try to seek help and perhaps learn to control it?

The white feline padded forward, curiosity clear in her blue eyes. Of all those Suiteheart thought might be picked for weekly tasks, Shininglight had not come to mind. She liked the guy - he was interesting to say the least. Still, he hadn't pegged her as a task giver. She was silent as she came to stand beside her daughter, gently bumping into the girl in greeting. Her ears were angled forward to hear the words tumbling forth from Shine's lips, and while his speech was broken, he was doing a good job. "Task me," she meowed, a small yawn slipping into her words.

In all honesty, Shining had never liked being in charge of anything. Leadership had never been a natural part of him- he was a helper, a supporter. He had been thrust into a leader position months ago, and the feline struggled through it. Maybe his friends would have disagreed, that he was a good leader in the end. But almost all of those friends and clanmates were far away now. He only had Lessa, and the recently-found Luciferus.

Shining lifted his gaze to Suiteheart. She had been the first to come to him during his arrival, had she not? But they never had a one-on-one chance to talk and whatnot. Seems life kept them both busy. He thought for a moment, as his stomach rumbled slightly. "Outside, on big blanket. Lots of food. Drinks. Picnic. Under shade, sun hot. Watch for bears..." he rambled, unsure why he had said that last part.

// [member=450]Suiteheart[/member]  Suite was locked outside the observatory, away from most of her clanmates. How is she reacting / feeling about this? Does she try in desperation to find a way inside? What thoughts does she start to have?
also feel free to have a bear show up during the picnic (preferably do it after this lockdown lmao)
