ever since the public freakout, rinto had been concerned about his leader. he felt bad about it, really- he didn't have a right to think about pincher, he was nothing but a lowly newcomer. he and pincher weren't related, had nothing in common except their loyalty to this clan. he felt bad about it, honestly, that he didn't even contribute much. he spent his days staring at the ocean or getting into sparring matches. well, he decided it was time to get useful.

then he decided against it, and decided to stay at the beach. he didn't even know where pincher lived, why should he go seek him out? he had said something about a submarine or something when those kids were born, but he didn't want to look like an idiot. god, he was useless, he thought. maybe pincher would show up if he just waited? that was such a stupid plan, rinto thought, but if he did spot the leader he'd offer him some food. after all, he could understand wedding jitters. rinto waited, slowly realizing how futile this plan was, and he stared at the ocean. it was a beautiful day- too bad he was plagued by anxiety, scared pincher saw him as nothing more than another stranger.
