DON'T GO WASTING YOUR DEVOTION | open, ooc task - Margaery - 07-30-2018

Most presumed that Margaery sang for fun. She had a good voice, that much was true, but very rarely did her lips ever part in song unless something was troubling her. Gardening was nice - and oh, how it helped to alleviate her stress - and hunting assisted her in varying degrees, but there was something else about singing that lightened the load her very soul seemed to bear, permitting her to transcend for a few brief moments and simply become the music. There was no worry, no pain, simply raw and unfiltered emotion, and goodness gracious did that help her. She was aware of how cheesy that all sounded, but she didn't care. Her personal health and happiness far outweighed any opinions her clanmates might hold pertaining to her. And besides, she was a thousand years old- why let others dictate how she handled herself? Her issues?

[color=#b09090]"I wasn't jealous before we met
Now every man that I see is a potential threat
And I'm possessive, it isn't nice
You've heard me saying that smoking was my only vice
But now it isn't true
Now everything is new
And all I've learned has overturned
I beg of you."

Ah yes, this song was one of her favorites- a classic tune far under-appreciated. She giggled, a genuine laugh that left her feeling light and airy as she twirled easily on a heel, oblivious to any audience she might have garnered. Margaery liked the attention anyways- why stop when she was enjoying herself? [color=#b09090]"Don't go wasting your emotion," The Cosmic General continued, finding herself wishing that Suite were here with her ukulele, [color=#b09090]"Lay all your love on me."

Speaking of Suiteheart, it only made sense that her song was about her, sang proudly, happily, because they had survived... And that was all they really needed to be happy, wasn't it? From the very beginning, the odds had been stacked against them, fate itself out to rip them apart every opportunity it got. It made no sense to mope about the tragedy that had befallen them in the past- instead, Margaery had decided to rejoice in the knowledge that her wife was still very much at her side, scarred but intact. Besides, she had stopped caring about the scar, no longer permitting guilt and shame to bog her down every time her gaze fell upon it. It wasn't her fault.

It had never been her fault.

[color=#b09090]"It was like shooting a sitting duck
A little small talk, a smile, and baby, I was stuck
I still don't know what you've done with me
A grown-up woman should never fall so easily."

Oh but she had fallen so easily for Suiteheart- ten times to be exact. Soulmates... They were soulmates, there was no denying it.

[color=#b09090]"Don't go wasting your emotion
Lay all your love on me
Don't go sharing your devotion
Lay all your love on me."

(margy? happy and soft about her wife? it's more likely than you think)

Re: DON'T GO WASTING YOUR DEVOTION | open, ooc task - HEARTEYES - 07-31-2018

[align=center][div style="text-align:justify;width:45%;font-family:verdana"]Hearteyes loved music, loved absolutely everything about it. So, when she found the Cosmic General dancing and singing a tune, well - she just couldn't help herself. The albino molly is quick to join Margaery in her dance, twirling around and making up her own moves to the tune. She had never been one to deny her instincts, and her instincts told her to move.

She's breathless by the time the other girl is done singing, dropping to the ground with a light huff. She rolls onto her side, bumping into the vampire's legs, grinning up at her while she tried to catch her breath. "Wow, Margaery! You're such a good singer, and I love your moves. What was that song called?" She asks, pink eyes widening when she realizes she didn't even know what song she was dancing to. She would obviously need the name, as she planned to listen to it on repeat later. Keep whatever makes you want to shake what your mama gave you, ya'know?

Re: DON'T GO WASTING YOUR DEVOTION | open, ooc task - LAZARUS - 07-31-2018

[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: helvetica; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 1.4;"]This is going to make Lazarus sound really damn miserable, but he doesn't know much about music. Or love, much less soulmates. His life before being dragged from that hellish pit was all about survival — food, water, fighting. Scars littered the Cane Corso's face and body, old and new. His antler still throbs from earlier pains, one branch entirely snapped off and still oozing blood through the bandage. It hurt to the point of agony, that hurt where Gabriel himself barely allowed to touch it, but it kept his head on straight. No starting fights when there's still pinpricks of red on his body. It's also the sorta pain that keeps him from walking away when he stumbles on... this. Cropped ears pull as far as they can, and for a moment he just listens. The words, the flow, the meaning — all of it flies over his head, but it makes something twinge in his chest. Once the two of them stop, Lazarus takes a hesitant step closer and sits down. For once, the canine doesn't look distant or cold, just kind of lost. "What does that mean?"
