[align=center][div style="0px; width:450px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height:13px; color:black;"]The woman had never thought about training someone else. No, the idea hadn't really crossed her mind because she was too busy trying to improve herself. If she couldn't be better then what was the point? Training someone else with her lack luster skills seemed to be counter to what was needed but then she took in Player and was teaching her own to be better at fight, quicker, stronger, outsmart enemies. That was what won battles. Not brute strength or size differences. But being smart for the largest thing could fall prey to being overconfident just because their opponent was smaller than they were. Her jaws parted on a yawn as she worked her muscles, stretching her legs as she leaned forward and arched her back. And then she stretched out her back legs before she shook her whole body. She needed to do something today and she figured that she would do some training of her own. The forest was where she liked to train because it was secluded and so she turned, eyes gleaming a bit with a competitive light as she began to walk out of the Observatory and head to the forest that marked where the border also was. It was a good day to train today anyway, clear skies and the sun was blazing.

Anger. Something Thea had rarely felt, and when she was captured, that was something that filled her during that time. At herself, mostly, for being weak. She should've been able to kill Caesar on the Ascendents' territory, but she had been too weak. Just like her mom.

She had been out in the woods herself, eyes closed as she tried to perfectly picture the Observatory, and teleport there, but it wouldn't work, and she gave a growl of frustration.

She could teleport just fine to places she saw, and while it wasn't useful for travel, it was for fighting, maybe. Adjust her fighting style so that nobody could call her weak.

Before, she had no worries about it, she could smile and everything would be alright. But a small part of her broke as soon as she realized that she couldn't win some fights. And it hurt. Hurt so, so badly.

The burned paws were healing nicely, and she could now walk with only a little pain, but the brand on her shoulder would stay forever. Something to remind her of when she was weak, every time she glanced at it.

Ears pricked upon hearing the crunching of leaves between paws, and Thea's claws unsheathe, not quite sure if it was friend or foe. The Typhoon seemed able to slip in and out of here just fine.

"Carolina?" Less cheerful than before, but still, she perked up to see it wasn't only an Ascendent, but somebody she respected and admired, as well. "Hi! What're you doing?"

[align=center][div style="0px; width:450px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height:13px; color:black;"]One thing was for sure, she had not expected to find the kid here. Sometimes he wondered about Thea and her upbringing. Was it just as harmful as her own had been? At this day in age she had the notion that her father never loved her and that he only saw her as a tool, a means to an end that he looked upon with disdain whenever she failed him. Her want for his love, her own ambitions and competitive nature clouded her to the truth and the fact of what he was doing. She'd lashed out at Texas and now... Her mind rebelled against her thoughts and she closed her eyes for a moment, taking deep breaths to try and calm herself. Everything was taken away from her. Everything. Her paws twitched and she tried not to tap her claws. She could beat this. Her gaze opened up, dull ambers focusing on the child once again before she dipped her head in greeting. "Hey kid, you shouldn't be out here alone? Especially since you are recovering." Not when she'd just been captured not too long ago.

Her gaze flicked away and focused on the treeline not that far off before she turned her attention back on Thea once more. Well, her plans weren't really secret secret. Everyone trained and fought though Carolina trained much too hard but she couldn't allow herself to rest. That wouldn't be productive and wouldn't help her if she had to take on Washington one day or even Texas herself. "Just heading off to do some training. I'm assuming you'd like to tag along since you have a fighting spirit." The woman had never really been a couch, she pushed too hard and forced too much on others but she supposed the kid could watch her if she really wanted to come with her.

"None of the halos or clerics said I couldn't." Because I didn't ask. Thea grumbled, hoping the black serval wouldn't make her go back, and it seemed her prayers were answered, whether by luck, or by whatever god was out there as she heard Carolina's offer.

Thea gave a nod, pale blue eyes sparking with excitement, as well as curiousity. "Yes, please!" With that, she began to trail after Carolina, large paws crunching the leaves and sticks on the ground as she made her way through the forest.

How did Carolina train? Was it the same as Washington, and the Texas person, or did they all have different styles? Considering Washington mostly shooed her away like some unwanted pest every time she even opened her mouth, which was understandable, since he probably knew very well if he let her speak, she would keep bugging him until he something lost her.

"Do you usually train every day?"
