NAUTICAL WONDERS — TEMPEST SAIL / FIREWORKS - PINCHER - 07-29-2018

CAPTAIN PINCHER ROUX | resides in the typhoon and is the demigod of rough seas. he is a muscular dark gray jaguar with frigid glacier blue eyes, marked with scars and glowing tattoos. he is the head of the roux family and is currently engaged. he is known for being a charming strategist with dark secrets. be cautious around him. —— ⚓

It was finally time for the final event for Calypso's Carnival to be complete and frankly, Pincher was excited to show what he had planned. This was what he had waited for a long time, months to be exact and he knew that it would be a special mark in the history of the Typhoon. The proud figure of the jaguar had allowed himself to do finishing touches to the Tempest while everyone else worked on their lanterns, stepping back from that event to make sure the transitioning to the next and final event would be smooth and not flawed. Being the perfectionist that he was, he had made sure that everything was perfect as he quickly headed towards the obsidian ship that was now laced with fairylights, outlining it's massive form. He walked up the board to ensue that everything on the main deck had placed the tables covered with food of various types. Seafood, fruit, other kinds of meat and vegetables, and delicious deserts that ranged from simply toasted marshmallows to small cakes of various types. Pincher personally was not the finest cook out there and only knew how to cook seafood so he had contributed to that while other better cooks of the crew had decided to chip in and come together in making the food that now covered every inch of the two long tables that were on the main deck. Luckily, nothing would tip over or rock due to the sea being peaceful and still, the crystalline reef waves lazy and softly striking the bottom of the ship but nothing to make it move side to side. The sky above was slowly shifting from it's aqua blue shade to a mixture of gold, orange, and pink as the sun began to slowly set in the horizon. Small stars began to poke out and reveal themselves as Pincher grinned, glad to see everything was going just as he was planning it to be.

Sucking in a small breath, the dark ash gray jaguar glanced down towards the beachside where the others were finishing the lanterns with their wishes written and illustrated. The captain desired to know everyone's but knew it was best to let their wishes be private and kept to themselves so they would be released to sail with them once they were released. His intense vibrant ice blue eyes glinted with a sudden excitement as he stepped off the onyx black pirate ship and towards the beach, his paws softly thumping on the ground as he reached the group. "Alright guys, it's time we release our lanterns. So grab yours and push it out into the sea. Once you do so, head over to the Tempest for the final event." He stated as he headed over to a large basket beside his lantern that was filled with small rope that was going to be used. He pushed the basket forward and pulled out one long string of rope and tied it at the end of his small lantern, making sure everyone that didn't know how to tie a knot would be able to see how he did it. Once done, he bit down on the end of the rope and began to drag his lantern away and towards the shore. Once he reached the shore, he gently pushed his lantern into the water, watching it slowly bob around before finally being pulled away by the current of the sea, it's candle flickering behind the tough paper and outlining his wishes. A faint smile graced his muzzle before he turned towards his crewmates and waited for them to set out their water lanterns and then head towards the Tempest. Snowbound had been invited to join them so he would simply expect them to head over to the ship like the invite had stated to do so. The lanterns were a personal thing for the Typhoon crew and he preferred to keep it that way.

[align=center][div style="borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; width: 520px; padding-bottom: 17px; overflow: stretch; font-family: verdana;"]The feline had been sitting, idle. She was practically in her own world at this point, face tilted downwards at her lantern, ears perking up to listen to the ocean, to hear the murmur of the souls around her. It was Pincher's voice, though, that she caught most strongly, and before he'd said it, she knew it was time to let go of the answers. Fischer, unable to see the rope that he tied on to his lantern, got the assistance of a NPC, and then went ahead to the shore, just simply tugging it delicately. She kept going until her paws were wet, and she stopped, just to feel the sea water lapping at her feet. Then, she nudged the lantern on its way, imagining how beautiful it looked. She didn't need to actually see the sight to feel the wonder of it.

A steady calm took over her, and she breathed out lightly. Fischer stayed there for a moment or so, thinking she would stay until the lantern was gone from the view of the horizon, whenever that was. Whether it was gone or not, after a few minutes, she stood and began to softly trace her way to the Tempest. Within a minute, she was boarding the ship with some hesitance. She could smell the food that'd been prepared, and went towards it, taking a piece of fruit, eating it, and then sniffing towards the direction the Captain was in. "This is a meaningful night you've prepared, Captain ... I have no doubt that everyone here appreciates it ..." Fischer murmured, giving an ardent smile.

Re: NAUTICAL WONDERS — TEMPEST SAIL / FIREWORKS - CAESAR CIPHER. - 07-29-2018

IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE TYPHOON. OFFICER.
Caesar had been wanting to get rid of his lantern as quickly as possible, so he was pretty damn relieved to hear Pincher's call regarding the event and immediately started to make his way over to where the Captain was. If Pincher had looked at his lantern, he probably would have, admittedly, lashed out at him - or anybody - for trying to look at what he wrote. He didn't like the wishes he wrote on it, but they were still truthful wishes. Caesar watched as Pincher demonstrated how to tie the ropes, and was eventually able to tie his own, after some failed attempts.

Caesar soon followed after Fischer as she dragged her lantern over to the shore, and was dragging his own with the rope in his mouth as he slowly moved backwards. Eventually, he got to the shore and released the lantern, feeling a strange sense of relief flood over him as he watched it float away. "I don't know what there is to appreciate." Caesar commented as he went over to the ship, snorting in his usual grumpy way. Of course he was going to act like this was a bother, its what he did.

Re: NAUTICAL WONDERS — TEMPEST SAIL / FIREWORKS - VANDAL R. - 07-30-2018

At Pincher's command, she pushes the lantern into the waters, watching as it sails across the wide expanse with something somber in her eyes. It sails with its message facing the crowd - its prayer and confession - and she reads it over and over again until the words have begun to lose its meaning in her head. Her tongue is heavy, heart swaying as she turns away from the subtle glow of the lanterns for one last time before walking towards the Tempest.

It's wooden floorboards creak familiarly under her weight as she boards, the salty air strong and caressing her senses the further into the ship she goes. Vandal finds herself still seated next to her brother, lips pursed and eyes downcast as she waits for the final event to take place. She isn't quite sure what to expect and lets her brain go wild with an assortment of ideas while she waits, glancing every so often at the gathered (she vehemently denies that her eyes linger on Fischer, even though it does).

"I can't wait to see what you have in store for us, Pinchy," comes her quiet murmur, gaze sweeping back to her brother to offer him a warm look.

LUCIFERUS GRIMM
"Something exciting im sure?" the black dragon voiced having followed after the captain and the trio - his own lantern having been released to steadily bob away unto the waters beyond to carry away his small wish onto the endlessness expanse of seas and skies.

for now he shifted to seat or rather perch precariously on the ship unsure that he wouldn't accidentally puncture the hull or sink it due to his size but found it seemed to hold up well enough for now.

Pincher observed the others begin to arrive, his neutral expression slowly shifting into one of pleased eagerment. He wondered how many more would arrive before he would show what he had in store. Due to how massive the Tempest was and the weight it would carry, the male could rarely take it out into the open sea with his elemental powers but with now him being a demigod with the power of air by his side now, it would be slightly easier for him. He knew that he would be able to last longer on the event and the male glanced towards the others, his expression shifting to each statement. "Thanks guys and fuck you, angry lemon." Pincher rumbled, a warm joking tone tracing his voice before the muscular jaguar stretched for a brief moment while rolling his broad shoulders. "Alright time to light up this fucker." Pincher stated with a quick double stomp that indicated what was to be done. Suddenly the unlit fairlights that oulined the ship came to life, flickering to become visible and contrast the growing darkness of the night.

The dark onyx wood that the Tempest had was now glossed with the brightness, one that had taken forever in putting up. But the male had been determined in making the event as memorable as possible and so despite the headache it had been to put everything up, it had been worth it. He flashed a smug smirk towards Vandal's direction, shrugging his tattooed shoulders as he stated "This is just a taste. Once more come, I'm making the Tempest finally head out to sea again alongside the lanterns." He tipped his dark head towards the lanterns that bobbed lazily around the ship, beginning to slip away towards the horizon of the setting sun.

Re: NAUTICAL WONDERS — TEMPEST SAIL / FIREWORKS - Grey - 08-09-2018

He's never heard of the Calypso Carnival and he doesn't particularly care much for it. However, when it comes to free food and learning the ropes around The Typhoon and their traditions, Bakugou doesn't mind going over to take a sneak peak. After all, it was nearing the end and as most events go, the last one was almost always made to be the most memorable. And so, the brutish ragdoll appears in his bandage-galore, flicking his gaze back and forth like a mischievous serpent. He sniffs the air to note the array of food, unswayed by the compelling aroma which wafted scents with beckoning, ghostly hands. Lanterns and wishes. The one he wrote for himself would be quite obvious to most. As he hasn't shared his secret of having lived another life and was now determined to set up a new one after days of sulking, he wished for glory. The writing was big, bold and the colour of sanguine. Deep and brooding but also radiating an air of victory when he pulls it, dragging his lantern by a rope between his sharp teeth. Whilst he walks his eyes land on the decorations, noticing the twinkling of fairy lights which illuminated the grandeur of the place. His all-seeing orbs slant, his furrowed brows creasing his furry face at the meticulous work before him. There were so many intricate little details, weaved by a keen eye that Bakugou was reminded of his own perfectionist nature.

To put it simply, he isn't a perfectionist in presentation. No, he paid far more attention to the nature of his combat, how it felt to cut crisply through the air. As of this moment he is still developing his moves, mastering his fire elementals and trying to shift his movements the same way his body used to drive and direct in his other life. Unfortunately, he will have to adjust what his mind knows. His brain understands how to kick and move swiftly through the wind but his body, still unaccustomed to and annoyingly new, could not land the same combination of attacks. He will have to learn new ways and such a thing frustrates him as he exhales a puff of smoke and releases his lantern into the sky. His eyes then follow Pincher's mused statement and with a raised head, watches the sails as they steer the ship.
