GUIDE TO THE GUILDS  Sunhaven specializes in the fields of commune and trade, but its members know that nothing would get done if life were all about parties and shopping!  This is where their three guilds come in: warfare, medicine, and art.  The guilds exist almost as mini-groups that function on their own outside of Sunhaven's ranking system, but they are integral for life in Sunhaven.  The Medicine Guild is responsible for healing the ill or wounded and often counsel those in times of emotional stress.  The Art Guild is for those who wish to express themselves through visual or performing arts, and they often participate in ceremonies and events to gift them with their artistic flair.  The Warfare Guild make up Sunhaven's skilled fighters, who serve through both strategy and strength as the group's defenders and protectors.  It through these three factions that Sunhaven remains up and running.

The guilds are not at all mandatory but are open to all of Sunhaven members.  Anyone can join as few or as many as they would like, be it all three, none at all, or anywhere in between.  The guilds are simply clubs for like-minded members of Sunhaven, where people can find others who specialize in the same field to pull together their efforts and create something bigger and work as one to hone their skills.  Within guilds ranking is kept to a minimum, but for organizational purposes they are necessary.  The Guild Head is the leader, in charge of managing and organizing guild meetings and events.  They can be appointed only by the leader of Sunhaven.  The Guild Second merely exists to ensure that there is someone to fill the shoes of the Head, should they disappear, die, or are otherwise unable to fufill their duties.  They are typically appointed by the Guild Head.  Members make up the bulk of each guild and are free to join or leave guilds as they wish.  Guilds may also have their own individual headquarters within Sunhaven's territory included within their guide.

How do I join a guild?
There is no right or wrong way to join a guild!  OOCly, you'll have to post in the specific guild's guide so you can be added to the list, but ICly you don't technically have to do anything.  However, characters will often make guild choosing threads to announce which groups they have joined.

Do I have to join a guild?
Nope! Guilds are not a mandatory aspect of Sunhaven, they're just for fun and for those who specialize in a certain field or would like to learn to.

Can I lead a guild?
Guild leaders are chosen ICly, so no. However, if you work hard and a spot opens up, you may very well receive the position!

What do guild leaders do?
Leaders of each guild are responsible for creating meetings for their guild and creating/organizing events. Guild leaders have no other special permissions outside of their guild as high positions do.

INDIVIDUAL GUILD GUIDES  That's right, this isn't the only place to read up on guilds!  Each one has their own mini-guide focusing on that guild specifically, and you'll need to track whichever ones you join to keep track of events and updates.
