Young Years // NEW LANDMARK - SOLVEIG - 07-26-2018

To say the least, Solveig had been absent from the face of the Clan in recent times. Did she have an excuse? Well, sort of. Did it explain her total 'you are dead to me now' disappearance? Well, maybe not so much. Or, perhaps it was, if one considered the depth to which the project she was now finishing had taken. Weeks of careful planning, not to mention gathering the supplies, and getting permission to do this, on top of landscaping, perfecting it, and all while making sure that most people had no idea what she was doing. Yes, Solveig would admit it. In the span of a few weeks, probably half of the Typhoon had to have thought she was mad- at least more mad than she already was. It was no lie that Solveig was a strange character, who would do rather dark things amongst the bit of good that she did in the Typhoon. Maybe she just liked to keep people on edge?

Well, today, it was finally done, and there would be no tricks nor manipulations. It was simply a moon garden. What was a moon garden? Well, it was a garden, much like any other, that looks pretty in the daylight, but glowed and shone in the moonlight when the moon's rays hit the foliage and blooms there, making it come alive with the spirit of the night. More or less.

Solveig's idea was extensive, but appeared as followed: the moon garden is a small section of the territory that fashions similarly as a pretty garden in the morning, but bursting with life as the sun sets and the moon begins to rise over the blooms. A small clearing is firstly blessed with the ground-covering blooms of creeping phlox; dozens and dozens of small, almost flower-shaped petal blooms in a wash of white and  pale blue. The Phlox creeps up towards a  stony ledge where the rest of the garden truly shines. At the foot of the wall, snowdrops stand tall and dance in the faint breeze of the island, the bright white of the blooms opening as night falls. In between the snow drops, Queen Anne's Lace, bunches of flowers that stretch up like a firework of bright whites and soft shades of pale color, offer some contrast to the drooping Snowdrops.

On the left hand side of the stone wall, the earth gently slopes down into another small section of the Moon Garden, where Mugwort, a shrubby-foliage plant dazzles in the moonlight due to its silvery and gray tones that catch the light.  Around it, Lamb's ear, study, thick-leaved ground shrubs, are planted, offset by yet more blooms that fill in the nooks and crannies between the shrubs, like the dark-violet Moon Shadow flowers which the light of the shrubs around it help to be seen in the dark of the night.  Also in this area are the tropical blooms of the white Begonia flowers, which offset the darker and greeny hues of the rest of the plants and intrigue with their unique petal shape. At the top of the stone wall itself where another flower bed as been made, white and pale pink Peonies stand not only as the center piece, but also offering a fragrant scent to mark the garden. Around the large Peony bushes, evening primrose in various colors, similar to one might think of Marigold flowers, offers a contrast to the large peony blooms. Last but not least, surrounding the edges and dotted inbetween, white Morning Glory, otherwise known as 'moon flowers', finish off the garden in its full beauty. There could also probably be like character-made items like signs and windchimes and garden stuff. Statues of mythological norse creatures also can be located around the garden. Additionally, wind chimes were scattered through the garden, but most were still unmarked. They would represent the dead in the Typhoon, and the control of which would turn to Pinch, or the respective deceased family's, given Solveig didn't know them. Last but not least, Ruins were sort of scattered amongst the garden, the garden more or less built around the old grotto shrines and ruins of the Typhoon.

And now, Solveig stood proudly before the garden, her delicate white paws still slightly smudged with dirt.

[align=center][div style="borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; width: 520px; padding-bottom: 17px; overflow: stretch; font-family: verdana;"]The aroma of the moon garden seized Fischer, snaring her up and looping her like a vine to the new area. Despite her typical affinity for water and the ocean, she held a deep value for flora. As a child, it'd surrounded her, besides the kudzu and ivy all over the walls, it had always been strongly rooted into her fur, thanks to her mother. She'd been a gentle healer, and would go through the various flowers and plants with her children, and often liked to intertwine baby's breath into her babies fur. It was always a good day when that happened, the litter frolicking around the abandoned hospital, so unaware of the dark descent their mom would take.

The overwhelming perfume of flowers was nostalgic for Fischer, but thankfully, it didn't remind her too much of her mom. Instead, she thought of all of the water they'd need to provide for all of the garden. The Typhoon saw plenty of rain, but sometimes, without the assistance from the rain god, she knew they would have to take manners into their own hands. But she didn't worry much about the upkeep of gardening the area, and instead admired it as she padded through. "This is beautiful, Solveig, really, how did you do it all by yourself?" The wolf murmured gently to the other, smiling warmly. Despite the small hiccups she had with the Soothsayer in the past, she brushed that away, finding a new sense of admiration for her hard work.
