The Roux family in the beginning was broken and torn. It started within the bloodlines of a haitian tribe known as the Vodou House that thrived within the lands of Paradis island, a mysterious place that the Typhoon has claimed for themselves. The name has always been laced with magic and dark secrets that are rooted to the island but the relations have stretched for miles and to every corner of the world. Tamara Roux was the creator of this cataclystic burst of connections when she had married a sly charmer known as Archer Dalca. A tradition of her tribe had been to switch surnames upon marriage so their loved ones could have a part of them everywhere they go, creating Tamara Dalca and Archer Roux. They were happy and ended up creating a family with one son known as Delmar Roux-Dalca. There was nothing but peace until a tragic natural disaster that lead to the two families seperating out of hatred, Archer taking Delmar away and stripping him of his birthname so he became Deniz Roux, forcing him to leave behind the only life he knew. As time went by, Archer and his twin brother Archie caused trouble and mayhem everywhere they traveled in a gang filled with criminals. Deniz eventually was put under the alias of Pincher and even after he had escaped the torment of his father and uncle, he decided to keep the name, creating Pincher Roux. Pincher left his father's gang for a few months before returning, only to find out the dirty secrets that his father had kept from him. Enraged, Pincher had killed his father and claimed the title of being the leader of the gang as well as head of the Roux family. Before Pincher had ended the life of his father, Archer had been with many beings in his life and it wasn't surprising to find that the Roux name has become infamous in various lands. Pincher has followed in the footsteps of his father of being quite the casanova and has also opened up the Roux bloodline for creatures without a family. The Roux family has grown and spreaded but despite this, their doors remain open for anyone that is willing to link themselves to the history of the Rouxes.

The Roux surname is archaic for the French word for "red".

Pincher Roux is currently the captain of the Typhoon, a rank that is known as leader status. Goldenluxury is currently a Reaver, a high position in the Typhoon. Roxanne is currently a Privateer, a high position in the Typhoon. Rosemary is currently the head Soothsayer, a high position in the Typhoon. Connor is currently a Striker, a semi-high position in the Typhoon. Vanessa was formerly a Privateer in the Typhoon (ex-HP).

THE RULES
Unlike many families, the Rouxes do not believe in rules. Pincher has allowed this to happen for the sake of freedom of what pathway one chooses to be when they are a Roux. If they want to become a welcoming positive impact in the family, they are free to do so. If they wish to bring down the Rouxes and become the ending link of the family, they may. The Rouxes know the risks and dangers but are not afraid to face them when the time comes. However, Rouxes are usually expected to be part of the Typhoon for that is where their origins are located at but one may go against it and live within other groups (ones considered enemies) if they wish but won't exactly be viewed as a true part of the family due to the lack of interaction and distance. Biological family can be anywhere but the adopted must first interact with Pincher and other Rouxes to be accepted into the family. OOC rules are the following: If your Roux character is having a litter, please link this guide to the adoption or anyone that has been accepted into the family and post here for any updates such as death/missing/promotions/demotions/etc.

THE INVISIBLE TATTOOS
In the beginning, Rouxes previously used to scar themselves with a small "x" on their bodies to show they are part of the family. However, Pincher has decided to change that tradition into one that allows for a more simplistic and secretive form of showing one is a Roux. If one is adopted into the Roux family, they are tattooed with an "x" that holds a special spell to it that does not allow it to be removed unless the head of the family whispers the breaking incantation to it. Biological family members may choose to take the invisible tattoo if they wish to show their loyalty to the family.

THE FEATHER EARRINGS
Feather earrings are considered a gift into joining the family, one that is linked to the tribal tradition of Tamara as well as Archer to show acceptance and safety that is connected to the belief of pearl earrings being good luck in nautical legends. The earring can be any sort of type and can have any type of feather connected to it (ex: Pincher wears a blue/gold earring that was previously a ring and it's connected to a scarlet macaw's feather). One is not required to wear it but it's an acceptance gift that every Roux is given to keep.

Members already in the family are free to track this guide. Members that wish to join must fill the form with their character's name and information as well as follow the rules of how they can be biologically connected (archer must be y/c's father, he was never there for his kids so he would have been absent for them), these characters are free to go anywhere. Only 2 slots are open for y/c to be connected to Pincher through either siblings or children (they are free to go anywhere but are encouraged to go to the Typhoon). Adopted members must first interact with Pincher or other Rouxes to be added into the family. Roux mutations are also encouraged but not seen as a requirement.
