there were many things in life cronas has yet to experience. burning hatred. passionate love. bursts of creativity. other-worldly curiosity. mind-numbing grief or sadness. desire. loss. never had they looked into the eyes of pure evil nor saw the genuine smile of good. they've never made any sacrifices and they have no one to make sacrifices for. betrayal, friendship, happiness, agony... they were all empty words for them; they held no meaning. it was as if they didn't speak the language so many others spoke. they weren't 'normal'. what was 'normal'? they keep forgetting to ask. their speech wasn't 'normal' as a few have told them. normal. normal. what made someone or something... 'normal'? another question they would have to ask. they weren't bothered by this. at the very most, they were curious. as previously mentioned, 'friendship', 'agony', even 'normal' were just hollow words. void. empty. meaningless. purposeless. much like how they felt.

vacant.

bare.

desolate.

abandoned.

they didn't know why they felt like this. they didn't know how to feel about it either. they were unable to differentiate between 'good' and 'bad' and 'positive' and 'negative' so they were at a loss. the only word they knew well of is 'empty'. was this considered 'normal'? did everyone feel 'empty'? to feel as though a large chunk of you is missing and not knowing how to get it back? to feel as though a shadow is spreading from deep within your being and slowly, ever so slowly pushing against your skin in attempt to break through and devour you completely? to feel as though you're becoming lighter and lighter as you feel yourself begin to disappear? cronas knew this feeling. they didn't know who to go to when it came to things like this and how would they even ask it? 'cronas feels empty inside'? would anyone understand? no... they'll just keep it to themselves. after all, they could be doing more important things like studying the world around them and learning all they can to become 'normal'. and from what they managed to gather, 'climbing' is a normal activity. not only that, but it's a useful skill one could acquire. altering their speech proved to be too difficult for them to suddenly do, but climbing appeared simple enough.

which brings us back to cronas in the tree. well, stuck in the tree to be more specific. going up is the easy part. coming down, however, is a different story. they weren't concerned though. it wasn't something they should be concerned about- and if it was, well... they weren't. they'll just ask for the aid of someone passing by but until then, might as well make themselves comfortable.

DELDRACH
FEMALE — LIONESS — LONER
[div style="background-color: #210808; color: #9B5151; font-family: arial; font-size: 12px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; overflow: auto; width: 500px; height: 340px; padding: 10px;"]Deldrach had felt empty before. She had seen what the world had to offer to her, sadness, anger, terrible terrible grief. She had loved someone, and he had decided to tear her heart out and kill their child. Deldrach had killed him in turn, then killed the very person that made Deldrach delve into that relationship to begin with. So yes, Deldrach had seen everything the world had to offer and it had turned her inside out and made her into a cold, aloof person.

But she wasn't so heartless that she would leave someone in a tree.

Living in the rainforest gave her the opportunity to see everything from above, walking on vine bridges and the thick branches from up high. As she wandered towards the edge of the rainforest, it got thinner and she leapt down to lower branches, until she caught sight of something she didn't expect. Both eyes blinked as she looked towards Cronas. She grunted, stepping one tree closer before calling to them-

"You look like you're a little stuck over there!"

They were rather patient after all. They were intelligent too, retaining a lot of information spoke to them. However, when it comes to situations they haven't encountered before, they were at a loss. Hence why in seemingly trivial situations like this, they made no attempts of resolving it themselves. Due to the lack of emotions, they had no pride or ego to hold them back from asking for help. They're swift to find flaws and point them out. They were swift to acknowledge they needed assistance and asked for it. The logical feline found no sense in stubbornness or rejecting help when it's clearly needed. Some say it's more satisfying to struggle and complete it on your own, with your own power. That just sounded tedious to the Privateer. It was much more efficient to ask for help. So when Deldrach called to them with perfect understanding to their situation, they nodded their head in response. "Cronas is stuck." They confirmed, inching closer to her but stopped when they ran out of branch. Realizing it thinned the further they got, the kitten blinked slowly, further registering the situation before inching back once more. Using what they knew, the branch grew thinner the farther from the trunk it was. This meant it was easier to break if enough weight was applied. They were unclear as to how much weight that was and as much as they wanted to find out, they were sure to be injured should they fall incorrectly from this height. Abnormally pale blue eyes looked down at the forest bellow before returning back to the lioness.

They watched Cronas shift about, hearing them speak, slowly nodding. As a lion cub, especially a highly important one back then, Deldrach never got stuck in trees. And when she was older, and knew how to climb, she still didn't get stuck. What an interesting prospect that sat in front of her. She slowly chuffed as she stood and stretched. "Alright, Cronas. Would you like help?" Deldrach called, dropping onto a branch that let her closer, much closer.

She's done this before, the child could tell that much. They thought themselves to be very fortunate to be found by her, an individual who is well versed in climbing. Pressing their small body to the branch as premature claws dug into the bark, their ears perked up as she spoke once more, asking if they would like some help. "Yes please." Came their quiet reply with a nod of their head. To further show they would like aid, they held out a paw to reach her but it quickly found its place back on the branch when they felt their balance begin to falter.
