Some nights, well, most, now, were often spent looking at the stars just outside the Observatory, Thea easily slipping out of the window of her room to view them. It left her with questions, like how far away they were, and if these were the only stars visible to everybody. Did Snowbound see them? Did Tanglewood see them? It was hard to figure out. These were the times Thea could have normal thoughts, centered around normal things. She wasn't sure how she felt about that. So when it seemed like the stars had come down to play, when, in reality, they were fireflies, Thea was more than elated, racing after them and trying her best to swat them, a bright grin on her face as she slammed her paw down on one, trapping it, it's glow barely visible from under her claws. Fireflies were a delightful concept to Hazel — just little bugs that blinked like little sun spots in the midst of the dark. They lit up the night, splashed like freckles across navy skies. Hazel had never been able to capture their likeness in her art attempts, and it was an endless frustration. Never mind that they only appeared on some nights and not on others.
When Thea’s excited antics caught her attention, Hazel paused, considering. The girl looked happy — perhaps she should leave it alone; let Thea enjoy herself. She wasn’t sure what changed her mind in the next few seconds, but she ended up changing her course to wander near the other girl. “Be careful,” She warned, smile on her features as she noticed the bug trapped under Thea’s paws. “They’re little bugs. They can be squished easily.” © MADI

"So they're weak, huh." She murmured, slowly lifting her paw to release it. "But pretty." The firefly lazily flitted off, joining it's comrades in the sky to continue their dance, and Thea raised her paw to bat at them once again, watching as they were quick to move out of her range, before returning to the spot they had been previously. "I thought they were stars."

with the corpses of stars, "Not stars no, but they have their own magic to them" a soft deep drawl hummed, the star beast joining the two quietly watching the small creatures flit about - earthly stars hm? - his wings half splayed and relaxed with a nod to Ladies Thea and Hazel, content to idly watch.
