&& BLOOD CLEARING - NEW BEGINNINGS!
The silence was defining. The sea was still as she crossed it. Dark seas cutting through the air with large waves and the beast dare not skim her paws through it as she flew above. Iron talons sending a chill through her bones but the beast did not shiver. As her wings soared the sky- the beast made no move that a lazy flap of her wings occasionally to keep afloat. Long distant flights- it was best to conserve your energy- including the fact that she knew nothing of the inhabitants she would find on the land. She only knew whispers. A wartorn clan sounded a lot like home.

Home, it was such a foreign concept to her, only vivid memories of a warm den, the feeling of being relied on and later - heartbreak, betrayal and a hollow rage settling deep into her bones. the phantom feelings still sometimes gripped her, left her shaking a gasping into the night.  She never cried- not yet, but if she did she knew it would be because of some semblance of home. It left her aching; wolves were not meant to be solitary creatures and yet- since her wakeing she had only known loneliness and the lingering sting of betrayal from her others.

The sandy beach of the Tundra met her vision, and she repressed a shiver.

She wasn't sure what to make of the place. A pirate-themed clan within the new world. She was weary and tired, and she would joke about her age if the principal of age wasn't so daunting to her. So many memories, experiences piling on top of each other and overlapping blood, tears insanity mingled within her head, and she was too weary of insanity that would latch onto her to linger there. She knew that places like these would only cause hurt in the long run, but she was tired. She didn't want to be alone anymore.

When she landed, she relished in the sound. The waves hitting the shore, the prey of a multitude chittering within the jungle that arose from the edges of sand's reach. She wondered if she would have to wait long to be greeted, or if she were wasting her time trying again.

/sorry this is late + has a rushed ending! welcome to the Typhoon

The sea seemed oddly quiet today. While the waves continued to lap, eager as always to gnaw at the sandy shores, they were smaller than usual for this time of day, especially considering the gray clouds that loomed overhead. A storm may well have been brewing, in which case they probably ought to prepare.

Despite this, Papercutter stared off into the horizon, unmoved by the oppressive atmosphere. Living in the desert for most of their life would teach one to appreciate every drop of water they could get, and even if the rain wasn't welcome, why would he fear it? It was just water, and it was too small an amount to drown you, at that.

Feeling the vibrations within his paws of something landing nearby, however, the jackal turned his head. There was a wolf there, one whose back had... sprouted wings? "What?" he mumbled softly to himself, blinking twice to clear his vision. No, those were definitely wings. Shaking his head, he called out, "Hey. Who are you?"
