Edgar kisses Mabel on the forehead before they leave. Moon is off to the side but he see's and it's such a sweet old person thing he almost gags. He and Mabel take off together towards camp, though not so much in the fashion Edgar and Moon had walked. She's feral and jumpy and terrified of the ultra large cat that her mole husband sent her off with, but Moon doesn't really blame her. The whole way back she's hardly anywhere to be seen; a slightly delayed blur running on 3 good feet from bush to bush, constantly out of his line of sight. It's as sad as it is funny; the rabbit's clearly mad, but Moon will admit it feels good to have his predator status acknowledged. Usually whatever he tries to catch just scoffs at him. They arrive at camp and Moon lays out some poppy seeds on the ground in front of him and steps back. He's as quiet as a half lame lion can be, and he's chosen a less busy corner to settle her in. Soon, the seeds will begin to set in, though, and she'll be much calmer for the actual display. Meanwhile, he sits, and so does she, and they stare at each other. Moon's analyzing her injury-- a sprain or a break?-- but Mabel is watching him like he's the last person on Earth she'd trust. He'd thought they'd at least have some sort of comradery, limping animals with damaged limbs solidarity, but she doesn't seem to be on board with the idea, so he'll respect that. It's five minutes later and the rabbit is clearly dozey, eyes half lidded as she slips into a lying position on the ground. Moon tries to be as least demeaning as possible as he takes a knitted scarf-- given to him by Edgar himself-- and drapes it over her head. He's hoping the dark will keep her calm. Now, all he has to do is announce it. "So, uh, this is the second part of the Cleric tryout tasks. If anyone's freak enough to want to watch me fix a rabbit's messed up leg, I'll be over here." His voice is more hushed than usual, and he hopes everyone takes the hint. If not; "Just, indoor voice, please. And kids-- keep your paws to yourselves, the bunny bites." Re: build a bunny + o, halo tryout 2/2 - imperia - 07-19-2018 [align=center][div style="width: 51%; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: georgia;"]Edgar and Mabel are quite the adorable couple. Sure, the doe is a tad bit neurotic, but Imperia finds the love shared between rabbit and mole is utterly wholesome. Only true love can endure the degradation of the mind. Marguerite, her mother, suffered from a chronic illness. It got worse and worse with every passing month--it was clear to anyone with eyes that Marguerite would not survive much longer. Instead of feeling inspired to make amends with his ailing mate, her father, Pierre, only became more antagonistic. Back then, Peri was still naive enough to hope that the impending death of her mom would make Pierre a more loving husband and father. Perhaps that is why she is particularly enamored with the relationship between Edgar and Mabel--it is one she wishes she could have seen within her parents. Peri had kept a respectful distance away after meeting up with Moon on his way back to Edgar. She did not wish to frighten the smaller creatures, and made the executive decision to part ways and meet up later. The lovely she-wolf smiles warmly as Moon arrives with doe rabbit in tow. She is already resting comfortably on her stomach, and instead of rising to greet her friend as she normally would, she stay put with intentions of coming off as non-threatening as possible. "I suppose you can add 'freak' to my list of nicknames," she jokes with a faint smile. Her melodious voice is still soft as if afraid of speaking too loudly, but her amusement shines brightly within her sterling eyes. "Bonne chance, mon ami." Anything can go wrong when it comes to healing, especially creatures who do not fully trust those who offer them aid.
