POISON PARADISE / open, leaving - madster - 07-18-2018

merihem couldn't put his finger on it. he had only been here for a week, at most, but he still felt... different. it wasn't the drugs this time though. he didn't fit in, he knew it. it wasn't their fault, of course- there was just too many people for him to actually make a difference now. when the thought first came to him, he didn't want to leave- after all, there were some nice people here, like margy and bast, but he'd thought they understand.

he didn't want to leave behind nero though. that was the main deciding factor- at first, he decided he'd stay, but every day he couldn't keep up. there was so much- those freelancer people fighting all the time was scary, the traditions he didn't understand, so many joiners and people leaving he couldn't keep track of it all. he decided that nero, too, would be alright in the end. maybe he'd come visit him in secret, who knew.

"hey, i'm leaving. bye," he announced, dropping his usual stereotypical gay voice and talking in his natural, deep voice, as he gathered all his stuff (mostly clothes and suspicious tiny ziploc bags) and then he left. he knew where he was going, though he didn't want to tell them. they'd surely attack him if they knew where.

"D- I, uh... alright then. Catch ya around?" I inquired, putting a gentle smile on my face and remaining friendly. I didn't know him that well, but I really did haye goodbyes. I had seen and heard too many in my life. I really hated it. It didn't matter who it was, goodbyes sucked dick.

I waved a paw in goodbye before taking off. This made me feel very... melancholic. If I could call it that, really.

Re: POISON PARADISE / open, leaving - trojan g. - 07-18-2018

do you believe you could change me? the way i changed you.

Roman didn't really know the other, and hadn't been around at the border when he had joined. He was sure he had seen him around a couple of times, but whether or not those 'couple times' were actually times that would count towards actually getting to know the other were very unlikely. So when he saw Merihem, and heard him mention that he was leaving, Roman paused for a moment, thinking the words through once more before nodding his head, opening his maw to speak. "I'm sorry to see you go, I hope wherever you go is good for you."

Re: POISON PARADISE / open, leaving - LAZARUS - 07-19-2018

[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: helvetica; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 1.4;"]Lazarus had not been in The Ascendants long enough to pin down his own feelings on the place, but in the end, it boiled down to some certainty that he would be here for as long as Gabe wanted them to be. The hybrid called the shots on everything they did, and where Lazarus had at one point chomped at the bit, he'd now settled into the routine. He wasn't unfair, certainly, and so far neither did these people. Still, everywhere he went, there were new faces. It's not quite anxiety that ends up clamping down on the Cane Corso's throat, since anxiety doesn't make his lips curl back and his cropped ears pin down, but it feels dangerously close. Today, he keeps it mostly under control, green eyes unblinking as he watches the stranger retreat. "Have fun," he offers lazily, the words rolling off of his tongue. It sounded sarcastic, but some part of him did perhaps genuinely wish they would. After all, what else in life is there to live for besides having a good time while you could?

SUITE
HEART
[we're gonna miss you!!]

Suiteheart had interacted with Merihem from time to time during his stay here. She had quite liked him; he was full of spunk and always spoke his mind. Those were rare qualities, she thought. And while she did not know him extremely well, she was sad to see him go. She was always sad to see people leave.

"Catch ya on the flip-side, dude," she called, a sad smile painted upon her lips. "Take care of yourself, and don't be a stranger." She would wish Meri all the best, even if she wasn't aware of where he was headed. Hell, even if she knew, she'd probably hope for the best for him.

He was a good kid. She hoped he found a good home.

Bastille had actually liked Meri, which was... well, unfortunately, given that he seemed to be on his way out. The tom cocked his head to the side as he studied the boy, but he didn't bother to question it. He could understand the need to move, to get away -- he'd spent so much of his life traveling, never settling anywhere for long, restless; the notion of having a stable home was simply... strange. He had to get used to it. Bast still wasn't sure if it was the best way to live, honestly.

"Later, boo," he drawled as he nodded, figuring that there was a chance they'd see Meri around sometime, anyway. There weren't all that many places to go, around here.

Re: POISON PARADISE / open, leaving - Nero - 07-19-2018

"Merihem!" Nero's voice wavered as he called out, bounding over to the scene before skidding to a halt next to the others. He wanted to ask the feline where he was going, why he was leaving, but he couldn't force the words out his throat. Instead he fell quiet, metaphorical brows knotting in a frown. "Please visit me..." They hadn't known each other long, but Nero considered Merihem a friend. He made him laugh, made his heart beat fast and face feel warm, and although Nero couldn't put a name to feelings, he knew he'd be sad to see the feline leave. He found himself looking at the ground as his first friend left the Ascendants, hoping that they'd be able to meet again.
