never growing up -- o, bug collecting - guts - 07-16-2018
Sakaris had many hobbies and activities she occupied herself with. Maybe it was just the want for learning that every child had, but either way, she was always doing something or other. For her, things never got boring. When Video wasn't around, it wasn't hard to find something to do for when he got back, and sometimes it took a while. In these moments she wished she had her mother back, wherever she was. She wished she would come and visit, maybe tell her all about her travels. But for now, she was content with her father, even though he was busy a lot. Today, she was busying herself trying to catch some new bugs for her collection. Since their territory was made up of all kinds of terrain, it was easy to find all different kinds of bugs. Actually catching them, though, was a different story. Sometimes they would get away, and she'd pout, but eventually she'd get over it or just find another one. This time she was out in the forest part, a bunch of jars at hand. She had made sure to poke holes in the tops, of course. Sakaris watched, waiting for a bug to come by. Soon one flew by, a beetle with a hard shell that was a dark teal color, eventually landing on a nearby tree after hovering in the air for a few moments. She slowly crept up to it, jar at the ready. "Aha!" she hoots in triumph, quickly bringing down the glass over the beetle, successfully capturing it. The serval quickly secured the top and watched the bug flutter around before settling on one of the leaves she had put in there beforehand. //im srry for this sucky thread i just wanted to post smthing "SPEECH" Re: never growing up -- o, bug collecting - Character Graveyard. - 07-16-2018 [align=center][div style="text-align: justify; width: 45%; font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt; letter-spacing: -1px;"]Maka was used to studying, reading books and all kinds of assignments in her past life. She had been a student in High School after all. She had a few tall piles of books in her room here, as she enjoyed reading in her spare time. Plus, she liked cooking. Those were her two main hobbies, she had a lot of hobbies she didn't put a lot of time into- such as painting, swimming and drawing. It had been some time since she'd return from the mountain trip for her to become a Royal Guard to look over the Silver Woods. She was still tired but she could walk around the territory. Green-eyes had caught sight of Sakaris, doing something with a jar. So she had approached. "Hi Sakaris!" Maka spoke. "What do you have in that jar? Some sort of bug?" The serval turns at Maka's approach, smiling softly at the older female. She didn't know a whole lot about her, at least not yet, but she still liked her. She was friendly and in her eyes that was enough. "Hi, Maka!" she then looked down at the jar, the beetle still as it regarded them. They probably looked like giants. "Mhm-hm! It's a beetle, wanna see?" she holds it up to the light, though keeps it at a distance in case she didn't like bugs. She had learned that some people didn't, though it had been the hard way. Simply put, she had to say goodbye to one of the bugs in her collection. "SPEECH" Re: never growing up -- o, bug collecting - arcy - 07-24-2018
//it definitely hasnt been over a week since this thread was posted shh Videogames had .. hobbies. He thinks? .. See. He'd been groomed into being king since he was small. He'd been one of the only viable options, and he was friendly and had enough potential that Arrowhead had taken him under his metaphorical wing once he'd gotten the chance. As such, Videogames .. didn't actually have a lot of hobbies. He hadn't had time, not when he had to sleep and study and do better. Despite this, he's not the greatest leader. Arrowhead had done his best, but he wasn't a natural teacher. A natural leader, maybe, but not a teacher. He was doing his damnedest to allow Sakaris the chance to grow and do whatever she wants. Be a child as long as she wants. "That's really cool, Sakaris!" Comes Videogames' chirp as he wanders over, grinning. A beetle, huh? Sakaris was collecting bugs? Well, they had plenty of those, here. The serval's ears twitch. "You want any help catching some more?" He grins crookedly. He'd gotten better at catching them after the fireflies thing. Practice, y'know. ★★★ |
