if I had a voice I would sing - open/meet and greet - adomania - 07-15-2018 [align=center][div style="borderwidth=0px; width: 55%; line-height:115%; text-align: justify;font-family: calibri;"][ because I didn't want to make a joining thread, pretend he was accepted by someone lmao ] It was at times like these that South was glad for the thick, white pelt that this body offered to him, with the cold winds blowing down at him despite the fact that it was the middle of summer and everywhere else it was sweltering heat. He preferred the cold, however, so it didn't bother him much at all... he was rather complaining about the fact that his body otherwise offered no shelter from the said heat of the world, and he had been forced to either walk under the sun for miles without respite in a coat meant strongly for winter, or to switch to two of less favorable bodies. One was a giant, towering dragon that was not subtle at all, and the other a feline form that reminded him too much of the past for him to care to use it. The Snowbound had ended up being just short of a miracle to him, the cool air finally letting him rest from the heat. He had waited at the border respectfully, someone coming shortly after to invite him over to stay with the exclamation that he looked just as exhausted as he felt. He had accepted the invitation readily, and had been showered by all manners of hospitality by the nice woman who had been there to greet him. She was the only one who knew of his joining, although he had seen spare glances sent his way as she dragged him from one house to another to offer him all kinds of things that he should need. No one had yet to approach him, however, so he was left to his own devices sitting off to the side next to a house he had quickly been offered and claimed as his own, sipping a cup of hot tea that he had prepared for himself when the one the lady had offered him had not sufficed. Re: if I had a voice I would sing - open/meet and greet - hana. - 07-16-2018 Re: if I had a voice I would sing - open/meet and greet - Dimitri - 07-16-2018 Dimitri was pretty sure he hadn’t seen either of these two around yet. The wolf made him cautious however. He could already see the other male grabbing Dimitri’s little body and shaking it vigorously. Throwing it down. Going in for another bite. Ripping off his flesh, swallowing a leg whole- he felt himself shaking as he was brought out of his imagination hallucination. He turned and ran off for a moment, his tail turning into something akin to a monkey. Dimitri soon returned, a flask in his mouth and one in the tail. He cautiously set the flask in his in front of the wolf and dropped the other before the cat. He didn’t mind her as much- he thought she was very beautiful, actually. ”It’s uh, hot chocolate. It gets cold around here and I- I thought you guys would appreciate some. I’m Dimitri, by the way. Nice to meet you two...” He noticed the tea the wolf had and his tail dropped, ”Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t see you already had a drink....”
"speech" Re: if I had a voice I would sing - open/meet and greet - ATBASH CIPHER. - 07-16-2018 ATBASH CIPHER i should've said what i hear i should have let myself fear
It was good to see the tradition of offering hot chocolate was starting to get around. Atbash hadn't exactly created the tradition, but she read about it, and almost kind of wished she had the offer whenever she joined. But hey, at least people were starting to do it now, right? "Don't worry about it, Dimitri." Atbash chirped as she came closer to the ground, trying to give Dimitri a gentle, playful shoulder bump. "I'll drink some, if you don't want it." She could definitely use hot chocolate, if she was honest. The warmness of the substance was soothing, in a weird way. "You two just joined recently, right?" Atbash spoke, looking up at South and Hana now. "Welcome to Snowbound. I'm Atbash Cipher, the Hailcaller here." bio | female | hailcaller [leader] of snowbound © madi
Re: if I had a voice I would sing - open/meet and greet - galexiux - 07-16-2018 Cry was hitching a ride on Atbash's back. She was fairly small for a raven, and thus has little to no problem resting on the backs of most cats. Her eyes were screwed shut, a look of content on her face. She normally liked the calm silence of sitting on someone's shoulder as they went throughout their day. When she was a child, she constantly rode on her mother's shoulders as he took care of the shop upstairs. Every few days, she'd do the same with her father downstairs (though his experiments were generally more dangerous, so both her and Syn stayed away for the most part). Crystal was constantly glued to her mother's side as a young child. Most young soldiers attached to a role model or "hero" in the hive, so it was only natural she would too, even being raised outside of her species normality. The raven winced as voices drew closer. She hummed, clicking her beak and opened her eyes. She stared off into the white distance, ruffling her wings. Five more minutes, mum... She yawned, ruffling herself. Her crest rose up as she opened her eyes again, raising a brow. Oh. She was still here. Not at home waiting for warm sugar water... Shame. She shut her eyes, yawning for one final time before scanning the area around her. She recognized... most of the faces around here. The raven's cloudy eyes blinked. She recognized Atbash. She, along with Izuku and Alister, was her only friend here. She rode in on the yellow cat for crying out loud, of course she'd be here. She recognized Demitri. Even though they were not the best of acquaintances (and she personally thought he was a bit weird and odd), she believed the cat didn't hate her. Which was fairly good, as she was a pretty hate-able person. Though... She didn't recognize the other two. She blinked owlishly. Who are you two? She echoed, not even caring Atbash asked prior. "SPEECH" Re: if I had a voice I would sing - open/meet and greet - arcy - 07-17-2018 Izuku wouldn't be surprised to learn that he'd missed a joining, somehow. I mean -- disappointed, yes, but Izuku had spent quite a lot of time hidden away in the library. He'd been getting better at leaving for times, though. Now that he was .. officially Frosthealer, and he'd managed dealing with North .. okay enough, he could .. let down his guard, just a little. Not a lot. But enough. .. Look, he was just .. tired. But, y'know. Wherever his clanmates were, Izuku would always find himself there, too. He liked introducing himself to the new members. There were a lot of them lately, wasn't that strange? Just a few weeks ago, it'd basically just been .. him and Atbash supporting this place on their very own. Now there was joiner after joiner, and sure, he hadn't seen a lot of them around, but that was fairly normal. Which is how Izuku finds himself trailing after Atbash, and there might've been a little skip in his step. Would've been if he was allowed to have all four paws on the ground, he means.
"Hi," Izuku greets, stopping a little behind-beside Atbash. Cry, on Atbash's back, seems a little sleepy, though she awakens quickly. Izuku, in turn, allows himself a little grin as he shuffles his wings. Ah yes, with his inability to shuffle his paws, he now must shuffle something else. Ugh. .. No, he's fine. Not bitter. Just tired. Then again, he's always tired. Did he sleep tonight? Or .. in the past two days entirely? Izuku can't be sure, but either way, that's not healthy. .. Unfortunate. "I'm Izuku, the Frosthealer. Hi." He greets again, fumbling maybe just a little but no more than he usually does. He's been getting better at .. not .. fumbling, or getting anxious when he's talking to people, that has to count for something, doesn't it? Been getting better at talking to people without being scared that they'll hurt him. Most of the time. Good enough for him. ☀ what was i worth Re: if I had a voice I would sing - open/meet and greet - adomania - 07-17-2018 [align=center][div style="borderwidth=0px; width: 55%; line-height:115%; text-align: justify;font-family: calibri;"] South had not expected to be greeted by a multitude of faces the instant he seemed to have gotten a break and sat down. He had mostly expected everyone to continue ignoring his presence, though the more he thought about it the more it made sense that they hadn’t. The system would have undoubtedly crashed and burned around them if they allowed any strange face to meander in, even with the permission of one other member. The first to approach, Hana as she had introduced herself, seemed less interested in him so much as what he carried on him. While otherwise he might have been offended at the thinly veiled excuse, she had been polite enough to not jump straight into asking for some of his tea and instead had addressed his appearance as something new. “Greetings,” South murmured in reply, leveling her with a thoughtful stare before letting his own lips quirk upwards ever so slightly in some semblance of amusement. “South. I am afraid I did not plan on guests so I did not make any in advance, but you are welcome to wait for me to steep more if you would like?” The offer was genuine, if a little strained in its hesitance. South was not a man who liked crowds, nor one who had a particular affinity to talking if he wasn’t actively trying. If she expected him to indulge in what seemed to be a rather inquisitive nature, he couldn’t promise her answers to anything she wanted. But the company in and of itself was not unwelcome... of one person, however. Not five. The moment more strange faces seemed to pop out of seemingly nowhere, South visibly stiffened, the slowly forming smile quick to drop despite himself. The claws of his paws twitched, muscles tense and ready to fight, even as none of them seemed ready to attack, and seemed as innocently curious as Hana had been. “South. I was recently admitted, a few hours ago to be exact,” the introduction was aimed at the crowd in general, not directed at any particular individual given that their questions seemed relatively similar in nature despite being differently worded on occasion. “It is... a pleasure to meet you all. Hopefully I will not be intruding too much, as I aim to try and pull my weight as much as I am capable of.” The second creature to have arrived (Dimitri, as he introduced himself now that he came back after what had looked like a minor panic attack) returned, although not empty handed. “Thank you,” South murmured in response despite being well aware of the fact that he already had a drink in hand. “The thought was appreciated, I do not mind. If you wish to drink it I will not mind, either. It would be a waste to have it grow cold.” // HELL YEAH IT IS also pardon this was rushed because I’m on mobile but I really wanted to reply and didn’t know when I’d get the chance otherwise ;-; |
