CANDY STORE - o, cupcake decorating - calliope - 03-23-2018

AS I STAND HERE  WAITING, WISHING, WANTING— Okay, this took a bit longer than she thought. Then again, mass-baking a bunch of cupcakes for an unknown amount of people wasn't an easy job. Not to mention the fact that she had to guess what types of cupcakes others would want. Eventually, she just settled on making both chocolate and vanilla cupcakes for everyone. Not to mention the fact that she had to make a huge supply of frosting, in different colors, and gather up a bunch of other various sprinkles and little edible decorations to put on them. She wanted this to be fun - she wanted there to be enough variety for everyone. Eventually, that need was met, and she was finally ready to call people over.

"Hey!" she called out, glancing around for a few seconds to make sure that she had at least some people's attention. "Who wants to decorate some cupcakes?" She paused yet again, motioning over towards the tables that she had set up. "I got a bunch of 'em, and a bunch of stuff to put on them!" she added, grinning. On each of the tables were a set of different cupcakes, as well as lines of pastry bags, full of different colored frostings. Sprinkles and other little things were set up next to them. It was pretty clear she spent a lot of time thinking this out. "Come one over if you're interested."

And with that, the wolf headed over to one of the tables herself, picking up a chocolate cupcake and a bag of light blue frosting. Admittedly, she was actually pretty bad at decorating her baked goods, but it wasn't exactly an easy task either. At least what she made tasted way better than it looked. —TO TAKE OFF AND GO STAR HOPPING

Re: CANDY STORE - o, cupcake decorating - JERSEYBOY - 03-23-2018

[align=center][div style="borderwidth=0px; width: 45%; color: black; line-height:115%; text-align: justify;"]Cupcake decorating? That sounded... cheesy (and a lot of work). Well, it was more like Jerseyboy didn't want to make the extra effort to do anything. He was rather lazy when it came to things like this, and he always tried to find the easy way out.

The tuxedo tom kicked back a few lengths away, removing the lit cigarette from his maw. He exhaled a cloud of smoke through his lips and raised his brows at Sugarpop, someone who he had never seen before. He had to admit, she was quite stunning... for the canine-variety. Jerseyboy was used to strays and rabid mutts roaming the alleys where he lived, but Sugarpop was practically an angel on earth compared to them. Huh. "Yeah, I'll pass on that." The east-coaster said before stretching a yawn. "Feel like makin' me a cupcake, Sweetcheeks?" This prompted a sly smile from him, clearly shameless about his words.

KILLUA
.
Confusion had raked his brain since he decided that this was going to be the base of his operations for the time being. Not like he really had any sort of tasks other than getting stronger to be able to fend off his brother. Which obviously didn't concern any of the clanners for that matter as it would just get them killed if they decided to get involved in everything. What was hard for the young assassin to understand was why everyone was so trusting of each other. It practically betrayed any sort of logic that was available in the world. That was practically the first thing everyone should learn. Never trust strongers right? Yet they cared so much about those that they didn't know about. The wildcat knew that he would never end up being like them, so then did he even truly belong in a place such as this? Killua wasn't sure, especially after the lecture that his brother had given him after nearly beating him to death and ripping out his claws at the same time. He would never forget that moment, and there would be a couple moments he could feel the same pain going up his arms again. Either way, he didn't truly understand the kindness and trust that they were showing. Killua had a pit in his stomach thinking that there was a chance that they could possibly be hiding something, and they had a facade over their faces so that no one would ever suspect a thing. It wouldn't be the first time that Killua had seen something like that done. But if that was truly the case, the assassin felt like he would be more than easily capable of picking up on their lies and the fake emotions that they would constantly have. He was an expert at it, and was pretty great when it came to reading body language after so many times of working with others and studying his targets that he was supposed to kill within the certain time frames that were given to him. This reminded him of a certain male that he met in the second batch of clans that he actually decided to join. The other had the nerve to call him a friend as soon as they met one another. Which had shocked him completely because he wasn't sure what to think of the other male, let alone to call him friend considering the last friend he had he ended up murdering just because his family told him to do so. The wildcat didn't completely trust himself in keeping those he cared about safe, and that was a small pawful of names that he could even list. One thing he wished he could have done was save his potential mentor from killing himself. The former leaving having stashed some candy for him upon his death, and Killua couldn't bring himself to eat any of the candy inside of it. It would be like forgetting about him and he didn't want to do that because his advice had been able to help him this far. He didn't belong in the clans, and yet he so wanted to desperately wanted to be happy like them. Which often lead to a small amount of jealousy for their actions.

The albino serval hadn't established himself when it came to the cave the camp was held in. He wasn't quite sure if he even should seek out a place in the camp out make a place for himself somewhere out in the pine forest. It would make his life a whole lot easier and a lot less stressful. But what if he ran into trouble and needed help from others? Doubtful. If he was going to need help, it would probably be his family that he was dealing with and nothing else, and he didn't want to drag innocent animals into his problems either. Killua was quick to catch on with one thing, and that was the amount of sweets that seemed to be in the area of this group. Most of the times animals weren't capable of devouring chocolate or anything like the source, but they seemed to be perfectly fine here for some reason. Maybe these group of animals went through some stomach mutation that somehow favored them. He didn't know and it honestly wasn't worth his time. He could hear noises that were in the distance but didn't decide to pay any attention to him. His scars were almost completely healed and he was trying to have the healed within a couple of days so that he wouldn't have to worry about them opening up if he got into a fight. The assassin scraped the tip of his metal claws on the rock floor of the cave, until he heard a call from somewhere else. He ignored most of what the other said, until cupcakes were brought into the mix. When was the last time he had even had a cupcake? He didn't even know. The last pastry he had was baked by his adopted sister. The wildcat got up onto his paws, already licking his lips at the scent of frosting that he was coming across. It was there that he noticed the big tables and a... pink wolf. Not much of a shocker since his father was a dragon and all but the other's coloration was certainly interesting. "Man, I'm probably going to end up developing cavities with how many sweets are in this place." The assassin would joke, obviously kidding considering that he never got cavities and there had only been one other instance before this about sweets. Such as the hot chocolate. His metal claws clicked the ground even if they were sheathed, the area around the stitches still somewhat swollen and pink. He gazed over the table for a couple of seconds before grabbing a chocolate cupcake himself. Chocolate anything was particularly the best in his opinion. Killua seemed calm for the most part, and he turned his attention back toward Jerseyboy when the other tried to flirt with the canine. A cocky smirk spread across his facial features as he addressed the other male. "Careful there old man, don't want her to throw up her cupcake now do ya?" Killua poked at the other, silently snickering to himself as he returned back to his cupcake. Killua was pretty great when it came to pushing other animal's buttons and pissing others off. It was entertaining to him after all. After talking to a male he didn't know, Killua grabbed some dark blue frosting, quickly decorated the cupcake, and then began to eat it, some blue frosting sticking to his lips as he ate.

Jacob loved any sort of sweet. Then again, he loved food in general. When he heard someone call for the opportunity to decorate a cupcake, the boy stood and made his way over as fast as he could, his tail wagging in a blur behind him and a wide smile on his maw. "These look real good! 'N ya' got such pretty colors for the frostin'! You'll have ta' show me how ta' bake 'em sometime. I make a whole lotta' cookies n' brownies n' fudge but I ain't ever made cupcakes or any kinda' cake things in general," he stated before glancing towards Jersey. He didn't fail to notice his big brother's comment but he soon added, "Oh, ya' shouldn' bother someone ya' jus' met, Jers. I can make one for ya' if ya' really want." He then glanced to Killua and initially appeared confused by the other boy's statement. His eyes then lit up as he seemed to understand and he forced his head down, trying to hide a growing smile. He didn't want to support someone else picking on Jersey, though he did make a mental note to use that 'old man' comment when he was particularly upset. He knew this wouldn't end well and he was sure that soon enough someone would be covered in frosting and he didn't want it to be him (did he? The more he thought about it, the less sure he was). No, he'd save any teasing for now. Now that they were living so close together, Jacob wanted to do something to garner a little mercy should Jersey ever find his journal. His big brother couldn't read but there were plenty of drawings for it to not be a mystery regarding the contents and he wanted to keep that to himself for now.
