[b]MAKE ME QUEEN OR
I'LL MAKE YOU BLEED
In the wake of turmoil, Margaery often times resorted to one of two things: she could either permit Genevieve to make a grand reappearance and absolutely dazzle everyone with her startling lack of charm or find herself surrounded by copious amounts of alcohol. For everyone's sake, the woman had opted for the section option, her entire wine cellar practically on display in the Grand Circle as she wandered about throwing decorations everywhere and setting up a radio to play music. While getting drunk alone and in the comfort of her own room would have been preferable, she couldn't run the risk of memories and thoughts consuming her. Being around people... it seemed to be her only real option. She had set out food too, and drinks that lacked any alcoholic content could be found close to them. Sodas, chips, fruits, appetizer-esque snacks- she had accumulated them all. It was a shame she couldn't even stand to taste them without ruining her body.

Running a hand through her hair, Margaery sat back and surveyed her work. Hopefully her clanmates enjoyed the concept of a party. These types of things - and the planning of them - were typically her mother's forte but she had succeeded in channeling just the right amount of Caroline to pull this all off. Now, she could drink in peace without worry all while music of her choosing played softly in the background.

Fetching a cup of wine (she didn't dare put out any of her expensive glasses- red solo cups were her go to for tis event), she sat down and took a long sip. The alcohol made her chest feel warm and she found herself contently sighing. All she was missing were her friends but this was the Ascendants- nobody was alone for very long.

SUITE
HEART
Shay's year of solitude coupled with fistfuls of stupid decisions had ruined her love of alcohol. She no longer craved it. Now, in fact, whenever she saw it, a terrible taste would form in her mouth while memories danced in her head. She tried shutting it down and shutting everything out, but nothing was ever that simple. She silently suffered through it, however, choosing to let everyone have their fun while she fretted over every little thing and grew nauseous at the strong scent of liquor. Why should she ruin everyone's fun because she had bad memories tied to it? Why was she somehow always drawn to drinking events? Why couldn't she just forget and give in?

As per her habit, Shay picked nervously at her fingernails while she headed towards the party. She had watched Margaery set up the entire thing through their bond, and while it worried her, she wanted her wife to have fun. The last few weeks had been mortifying. Margy deserved some respite. The blonde woman tried to remember that as every instinct told her to turn the other way when she saw everyone milling around with wine and other substances.

"Hey, babe," the Admiral greeted, smiling, covering up her unease without difficulty. Her blue eyes left her wife for a moment, traveling the area the party was set up in. She had to admit it looked nice. "I would've help you with all this, you know." Her tone was a tad teasing as she spoke, returning her gaze to Margaery. Moving her hand to take hold of the other woman's, she asked, "How're you feeling, huh?"

SING, GODDESS, OF THE RAGE OF ACHILLES
Parties were a toss up, for Bastille. Sometimes he could get through them without so much as a blimp on the radar, finding that socializing with a drink was easier than not: no one wasted as much time with small talk, and he hated small talk. Real conversations he could do, and shockingly, real conversations seemed to crop up at parties abundantly. Other times, though... Other times he could taste vodka on his tongue even when he wasn't drinking, a haze of blurry memories shifting rapidly through his thoughts. Sometimes he'd put a hand on someone's arm to nudge his way past them, trying not to knock them over or to warn them he was close, and there'd be far too many sensory memories that he didn't want. He could never be certain which scenario he would be dealing with.

With a yawn, he slid his hands into his pockets as he strolled up to Margy. He didn't so much as acknowledge Suiteheart, which was custom these days, and greeted idly, "Hey, Margy. Is this my intervention party with you give me wine and tell me to stop detoxing?" The words were laced with amusement, and it was funnier because he could feel the burn for wine even then, the itch under his skin.
